Jams - NYC
When I entered Jams I was seated at a lovely table near the big windows. My server immediately came over. He was extremely nice very caring they I was happy and always approached me to see if everything was ok with a smile.
Salvador was my server and he was as I said wonderful and hope when I return he will be my server again.
Great food and ambiance! Loved the indoor plants. The service was a bit slow, but they were friendly and overall a great experience!
Chicken with salsa verde is the best chicken that I ate in NYC!! Ask for the fried fingerling potatoes as a side.Friendly staff and good ambience.
Wine by the glass, a little pricey. $25 for chardonnay is nuts. Food very good and plentiful!
Excellent food and service! We had the shaved salad, carrots, poke and some of the best mussels ever in a light meal before a show and food was wonderful. The service was excellent all around. Great experience!
My husband and I went to Jams on a date night out before going to see Hamilton. It was a bit of a special occasion as we don’t often get dates nights without our 4 year old joining us. This restaurant offered an amazing menu, friendly and sophisticated staff, and even brought us complimentary glasses of champagne to enjoy our evening out! We had the risotto and gnocchi and it’s was delectable! Highly recommended a visit here!
Loved it so much we came back for brunch . Hake, fried chicken , cavatelli all outstanding.
Second time back here. Another good meal with excellent service. I have to say there was a mix up with my meal, but the manager made right by it -- in fact went overboard. Other restaurants could learn a lesion from Jams. I will be back.
Excellent food, excellent service (Dora). I don't have more to say, but needed 50 characters....
Great . Food as delicious
Pre birthday dinner for my girlfriend. The waiter Bruce was excellent. Appetizers, drinks, entree and dessert were all excellent!
Amazing food and incredible cocktails! Very cool and hip setting. Great service. Dishes are small and expensive but worth it.
I can't believe this was my first time at Jams! The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming. The service was excellent. The menu was interesting and the food was tasty. The dessert was beautifully plated and rich. I shall return!
Not quite my Jam. I found the portions small and over-priced. Also, this restaurant presents as healthy but we found the food quite oily, like the kind of oily that leaves a film on your mouth. That said, the flavor was wonderful and everything seemed very fresh. The restaurant was responsive to allergies and willing to alter dishes where possible. I am dairy free and often gluten free. Not terrible but in NYC, with so many options, probably won't be back.
Service and food were excellent! We shared the pastry tray and then ordered the chocolate pancakes and salmon lox on a bagel. So yummy!!!
Restaurant week choices were a little skimpy and just not exceptional. The restaurant functions as a hotel dining room, and that one-size-fits-all demand keeps the décor and experience for being what you'd want for a nice dinner out.
Great space. Good food. Good drinks. Love the vibe. We were able to dine during NYC Restaurant Week which was definitely a great value.
Because of the construction inside, voices were super loud. They need to add some sound panels to the temp sheetrock in there. Will wait till they are done before going back. Always love the place and the food!
A delightful find and a delicious meal with topnotch waitstaff....
I was disappointed. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday Night with a threatened blizzard and a sparse crowd and not the top chef, but here's what was good, the bean soup (which could have been hotter) the fingerling potatoes and the poke (outstanding) the bass was just good, the chicken was disappointing because it was swimming in too much butter. Amoxacillan [sic] was a big hit, Winter is Coming, not as good.
Fine service and food in an excellent location.
The place seemed crowded because of ongoing construction that a wall had been constructed to hide. There is just one restroom in the restaurant and others are upstairs in the hotel that houses the restaurant which is her inconvenient. But overall a fine option at the location.
A very nice restaurant. Went before a Broadway show. Friendly staff and the food was very good. We had the Mussels were so tender best I have ever had. I enjoyed the Grassfed Strip Steak. Cooked perfectly over a bed of lettuce. I would definetly return to this restaurant.
Everything about the evening at Jams was perfect from the menu to the service to the maitre 'd. Oh and of course the food was ah-mazing. Best kale salad we have ever had and the chicken was delicious...as was the poke. The pot de creme was over the top. Can't wait to try the sister restaurant Barbuto.
Amazing food and setting! Really enjoyed the menu
The rissotto was way to salty
Extremely average brunch food. Would not recommend.
I've been to Jams many times, and have always loved it....especially the kale salad. I had a larger party than normal for this dinner, and our server, Taziah, was EXCELLENT! We had opera tickets, and she got us out of there in the time needed. BUT, my complaint is on the usually amazing kale salad. I don't think it was dressed, and we ordered two. Rather tasteless, and disappointing, as had been talking it up to my friends. Taziah needs a promotion and a raise.
Different types egg bake, a surprise and a treat...exceptional service...will return...
Great locations, excellent food, and service. Great new years day brunch
Mediocre at best but way overpriced. Portions are small. Service slow.
Picked this place for Christmas dinner because it looked low key and we knew we’d be tired from traveling. SURPRISE - it’s a neighborhood gem. Food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. We split a salad and I had the duck and my wife had the chicken. All 3 were outstanding with the Willamette Argyle Pinot Nour we selected. What a fantastic way to start our Christmas trip. Will be recommending this to friends.
Perfect spot in Midtown. Escape all the throngs of tourists on the street. Great service, food and ambiance. High priced wine list, but then again, it is Manhattan.
Wonderful Christmas brunch! Everything was beyond delicious, as usual, and the staff were all fabulous!
Superb food at reasonable prices. Equal best gnocchi ever!
Food quality was impeccable, portions size was on the smaller size. Service and the ambience was great. We had requested a window seat in the reservation that we unfortunately did not get, otherwise was satisfied.
The service was inconsistent (soup arrived without a spoon, promised bread didn't come until after a second request BUT water was smoothly kept filled). Food was fine, but nothing special. Very noisy
Great—thank you! Love the scallops!
Lovely restaurant! The service was top notch food delicious! Will definitely go back when in Manhattan
The service was great. Jeffrey was wonderful and our server was also, fantastic. I am very happy to have found this place. It is definitely my Jam! Ok. I just dated myself with that reference. He he.
