It was our first time at Jams. I had read a review and decided to take a chance. We were all happy with our meals. The service was great and as was the ambiance of the restaurant.
Fantastic spot in midtown near Central Park! Delicious food, good vibes and a hotspot.
The food was sublime, the service was first rate. Has become my new favorite restaurant
The menu was not the same as posted when asked they gave some obscure reason
Food was outstanding as always but what I love the most about Jams is the atmosphere. We go once a year for a girls weekend and always stay at 1 Central Park. Jams is perfect for catching up with friends along with delicious food and drink. We’ll be back
I absolutely love the food! One of the best in New York City!
Consistently excellent food in a great location, at a reasonable price. One of our favorite restaurants in NYC.
Low lit sexy but chill vibe the was PHENOMENAL!!! but i have to admit drinks are very overpriced
Great food and very professional, courteous staff. Highly recommended.
Great service, great food. Will definitely be back!
excellent food, gracious service, acceptable noise level. BUT: two-top tables are too narrow, there is no provision for coats (or bags), and the lighting needs to be brighter (impossible to read menu without cellphone lamp assistance). for me, the table was a bit too high (or was the chair seat too low?)
Had a great brunch with friends! The frittata and chocolate chip pancakes were great.
The three of us each really thought our food was really good...2 hamburgers 1 chicken
Wait staff was really nice and attentive
Wonderful food, atmosphere, and experience!!! Our server (can’t remember his name) was very attentive and kind.
The headline is that the food is just so overpriced for what you get. The staff is friendly and there was a small gaffe with the reservation. The food service was incredibly slow and there were no apologies given by staff. People who ordered after us, got their food first. I generally don't mind paying for quality food, but I got the salad with grilled shrimp (~$26) --- I've had better salads for less than half the price. All cocktails are $17 and certainly a mimosa is not worth that. The only upside was the lovely decor. You can find much better food for lower prices elsewhere.
Great service. A little pricey for being that casual
The dinner menu online had many more options than the actual menu at the restaurant so my family didn't really get to eat what we were hoping/expecting to. We also would not have chosen to eat there had we known the actual menu. We had to ask 3 times for bread. The "cheese" board had only two cheeses on it and very small portions. Our waiter was very good and helpful when we needed to change and add an order. Other staff seemed like they we being inconvenienced when asked a question.
Only Brunch menu available at 12:30 on Saturday. My husband had scrambled eggs and Bacon for $19. I ordered a chicken dish and the chicken was good but I found a piece of plastic in the broccolini side. The manager offered a substitute and comped my entree but charged us for everything else. VERY disappointing. We will not be back.
Had a blast with my friends. I will be bringing more people the next time we come to the city
Food and service (Marcy) were awesome
We came for my mother’s birthday and truly had an excellent time. We had a little snafu in the middle of the meal and the manager was so wonderful and apologetic it completely turned what could have been a meh experience into a wonderful, memorable one. Highly recommend!!
Excellent food, manageable noise level, and pleasant environment (lots of indoor plants!)
AWFUL POORLY COOKED FOOD. THE MUSIC WAS AMBIENT IT BLEW YOUR HEAD OFF!!!
Did not think the food was as good as Barbuto. Overall a little disappointed. Would not go back, too many other old choices.
We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It was also kid-friendly, something we appreciate having a toddler. The food was truly excellent. Loved it all!
Jams is getting to be my go to place to eat before midtown activities. So delicious! Great service! Love the ambiance!
Good food and several vegan and veggie options. Restaurant has great atmosphere. It was my first visit, and will definitely check it out again.
Food was good, service was scattered and the portions were very small
Food was disappointing for the cost. I had the chicken and broccolini dish and it was very bland. I mentioned this to our wonderful server and she asked if I wanted something else...I got a side salad due to our timing. I do give the restaurant manager high marks for her handling of the situation. She took the chicken off the tab and did not charge us for the salad either along with her apologies. My husband has the swordfish which was good. It was a very busy restaurant so I am thinking what happened with my order must have been an anomaly.
Sabuj was an excellent waiter. Food absolutely delicious.
the bench moves up nd down every time some one sits down or gets up. the service to order or get coffee was slow
Beautiful restaurant. Usually great food. Gracious service. Great breakfast choice with some innovative offerings. Nice lunch spot. Fantastic dinners. I have been here many times. On our recent lunch I was disappointed that the green salad had many obviously wilted and unappetizing leaves in it. It was late in the lunch service but still. Nonetheless highly loved and recommended.
Appetizers come in a hurry but we waited over an hour for our entrees Each time we asked the waitress about anything she said she would send over the manager. He did arrive, offering us free dessert but we were out of time. The food and the convenient location makes this a good choice but the service is beyond tolerable. They did take the drinks off the tab to compensate.
I love Jams, but the menu is considerably shorter with fewer choices than I remember. Our food was excellent, our table was ready when promised, and our server was excellent.
We dined there for Sunday brunch. Tried salmon plate, pancakes and omelet and a muffin. Food was prepared well but nothing special. For example muffin tasted good but would have been better warm. Service was ok specifically the order was correct but drinks were not refilled. Portions on the smaller side for the price.
Service kept passing us by during brunch hour, and the bench was wobbly. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience
Decent food but not amazing. Especially for the price
Loved location. Not crowded on a slow Sunday evening. Our server had a difficult getting our orders straight. Had to ask several times for items and the check.
Very nice setting, and the food was outstanding, especially the Brussels sprouts!
The service was impeccable. Pacing of food, from appetizers to main course, to desserts and after dinner drinks was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed the entrées. The gnocchi was divine! Start with the spicy mixed nuts. Addictive! End with the baked Alaska.
