Top Service, sehr leckeres Essen und tolles Ambiente. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen!
The whole thing was meh. Disappointing in that I expected more from this iconic chef. He used to be so much better. Plus we has a crazy frustrating experience just getting seated... the maitre d' had some issue with giving us a decent table even though we counted 12 empty tables and we had our own reservation. made us late for our show.
For a restaurant named Jam, they can more Jams or marmalade than just one Jam. Disappointed
GREAT gluten free options! Also had a great drink menu. Really recommend!
Excellent food; service a bit slow and inattentive.
Excellent evening. Great food and service. Definitely will return.
Perfect after theater dining.
Friendly, upbeat, young dining option in Midtown. There aren't many of those in Midtown.
We have reserved and have been 20 minutes early. The stuff was very fiendly and offered us immidiatly a very nice place at the window. The wine was great and the servant was well experienced and gave nice explanations regarding the origin. The service ended outstandingly and we were very pleased to had my birthday lunch at jams. Thank you, we will definitly come back.
Jams was a delight ... food was forward and fresh, ambiance is trendy and tranquil at the same time. Great, friendly service- perfect for frequent visits or special occasions - Jams seemed ready to be what you want it to be. We were just grabbing a drink and bite before a show, but I can imagine settling in for an extended dinner as well ... very welcoming.
Service was great, in particular, super service by Aaron Sabuj - we were very well taken care of throughout the whole meal! Thank you!
Inside, Jams is spacious yet cozy, modern yet rustic. Everything we tried was delicious. The Burrata, Tuna Poke, and Maine Scallops were stand-outs. The Greenhouse cocktail was legendary. Great service. Need I say more?
Nice place and atmosphere. We waited too much time for the main dish.
Jams is absolutely our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood, and our go-to spot for everything from date nights to family brunch to special occasions. Everything we have ever ordered has been well-prepared, perfectly seasoned, and totally delicious! Their signature Jams Chicken And Kale Caesar Salad are not to be missed — but we have truly enjoyed every other dish we’ve tried as well. If the Rocky Road Baked Alaska happens to be on the menu, do yourself a favor and order it — it is a little piece of heaven on a plate! The staff at Jams are its crowning glory — they are the truly the best in the city — warm, friendly, skilled, and extremely professional, especially Sabuj, Aaron, Joseway, and Geoffrey. They are all truly gracious, delightful, and wonderful, and they treat every customer like a very special guest and friend! The ambiance at Jams is also warm and inviting — sort of rustic chic — both casual and dressy attire are fine. We just can’t say enough great things about this fabulous restaurant!!! SO glad it is nearby!!!
Great service and great food. We loved it! Great location
Food was delightful. The noise does build but that’s nyc
It is a bit pricey
If cost is an issue than save this place for a drink and a lively appetizer
I will say that service is supetb
Food and service are top notch!
We both had the chicken and it was outstanding. The kale salad had to be returned (apparently it wasn’t fully washed because it had sand in it), but more importantly was how the manager (Jeffery) responded. He could not have been more professional and accommodating. He came to the table to personally apologize, offer an alternative option, and even provided free drinks. The salad was delicious so we opted to try another one and this one came out great. He again stopped by the table to make sure we were fully satisfied. Our server was also both apologetic and very accommodating. S—- happens in the kitchen - the important thing is how it’s handled, and in this case the staff could not have done more. That alone will bring me back
The best chicken ever.
Appetizer of burrito was tasteless
Great Place..love the menu..unique. The service is impeccable.
I’ve been here before and things have been good but the service was super slow this last time. I hope they improve it. We were there for over three hours for dinner.
Enjoyed the black bean soup, scrumptious scallops, and a truly melt-in-your-mouth hot apple pie with chocolate banana sorbet (substitution due to allergy). Everything was delicious and tastefully presented. Service was top-notch - great conversation from our waiter. Ambience was pleasant, with quiet, relaxing music played throughout the meal. I will definitely return!
Food was average and very overpriced.
Jams is delicious and the ambiance is lovely! Fresh food that is creative and tantalizing!
We arrived five minutes early for a 6:15 reservation and were directed to the bar to wait ... where there were no seating places ... despite there being about 8 empty tables nearby. After a 15 minute wait, people who arrived after us were seated first. Finally, we were led to our table, which was way too near the kitchen. My chair was next to a pile of plates that were continually replaced at ear level, for a very unpleasant, loud noise every time more were stacked up. Our server was fine. The food was okay, but nothing special. The wall that I faced looked as if it was the aftermath of an incomplete demolition and appeared to be very dirty. In addition, the items on the menu did not match what was on the website, so we weren't able to order what we came for. These people either don't know how to run a restaurant or don't care.
I would have given Jams a more positive review, but the service was really off. We came in at 5:30 to leave to get to an 8 p.m. show and had to rush out to get where we needed to go. And that's without having had dessert or coffee, which we would have ordered had they been more attentive and prompt. Otherwise the food was imaginative (albeit not so warm after we had to ask for it) and tasty, and we had diners with us who were vegan and gluten-free who appreciated the notations of such items on the menu.
Host was most accommodating when we called to share we were running late due to pouring rain and heavy traffic. Food was amazing and atmosphere was wonderful. Noise level made it difficult to hear others at the table! It’s a must-try while in NYC!
Food amazing, service and atmosphere energetic and fun.
LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! FIND SOMETHING NEW AND SENSATIONAL EVERY VISIT. WHAT DO THEY DO TO THE OLIVE OIL TO MAKE IT SO PEPPERY. I'D LOVE TO KNOW. WHITE PEPPER AND SALT?
Food was very good. Noisy place and a hard industrial feel to it.
We waited a long time for our order to be taken. Appetizers arrived quickly but then we waited another 30 minutes after plates were cleared for the entrees to arrive. Half of our party had to run to a show so they didn’t get to eat.
If you have a show after make sure to tell them- but our reservation was at 6pm and main entrees didn’t arrive until 7:30 - after much prompting.
Always enjoy the food and service is usually good but if this is the new normal will be avoiding in the future.
Unglaublich gutes Hähnchen! Mit hervorragenden Beilagen!
I had some pretty high expectations of this Jonathan Waxman CPS staple. After a couple years of hearing all about Jams, it was a must-try pre-theatre experience. Unfortunately, however, mostly everything simply met its mark. The only exception was the shrimp risotto, which bursted with flavor on all counts.
From the overcooked white meat on an overall underwhelming roasted chicken, to a Tuna Poke that would have met the most basic of definitions for the dish - Jams didn't hold a candle to its sister restaurant Barbuto of West Village fame.
Great wine recommendation ! Especially staff chose the best matching with our dishes!
So noisy we couldn’t have a conversation. Very limited menu.
Always a hit! Food is outstanding and drinks are great... kale salad is out of this world. :)
Food was very good.. I'm prone to places that obtain products that are locally sourced. However, $ in NYC isn't like $ in other places. However, all had a great dining experience. (our meal was taking a bit long and they gave us a free cheese/fruit spread.)
Tasty food, but overpriced, even for NYC. We had 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 glass of wine, and 2 desserts, and it came to $100 before tip. Water served warm, had to ask for ice. Seated in the bar area because it was promised to be quieter, but it really wasn't, since we were next to the waiters station. Tables are very close together. Not a bad experience, but not one I'd seek out again.
Best waiter, Manager in Sabju and Jeffrey. The food was so refreshing and creative. I would suggest making an evening from a craft cocktail thru dessert! It’s a cant miss!
