The drinks were decent, and the food was going ok, but someone on the staff walked by, spilled water on my wife and our food. They comped the food which was nice, but the experience was ruined. It's a tight squeeze in there. Not a great experience.
Amazing service, incredible food and wonderful ambiance. Looking forward to enjoying again, next time we’re in town.
Paella was not cooked the way Spanish does... disappointing.
Other dishes were good, especially roasted beet salad and meatball dish.
Interesting menu, I probably should have asked a few more questions regarding preparation but that was my fault not the restaurant's.
Good meal — mostly everything was good, with the mushroom croquettes and eggplant fries standing out among the small plates. The octopus and paella were very good. The charcuterie was rather sparse for the price. The drinks were creative and well-executed.
Best Spanish food in town. I eat here as often as I can.
I thought overall ambience and food was good...except the lamb we had was very tough. I’ve never had lamb this tough... ever. I would have given 4 stars for this meal if lamb was better. Taste was very good.
The food is fresh and delicious, but a little overpriced
Went for a dinner with friends. The food and drinks were fantastic. The waitress was super nice and it was overall phenomenal
We will be back very soon. Tapas are excellent, vine selection rotating, so there is always new stuff to try.
Jamonera is a neighborhood treasure. The staff is very good clarifying the menu and at making - when asked - suggestions. Their beverage suggestions match the food perfectly.
Unbelievable accommodations for Vegan options. Always consistently great food
Excellent meal. Really interesting wine selection, reasonably priced. Attentive but not intrusive service.
Had a nice dinner at Jamonera. Food was delicious and the value was fair. Cocktails were great. We enjoyed the interesting menu with a wide variety of options. The one disappointment was our server, who kept pushing us to order more food and drinks, and/or kept trying to clear the table of dishes we were still eating. Meanwhile the restaurant was half empty. Don’t go if you want to enjoy a relaxed meal.
Nice little Spanish-food place near convention center. It was well visited.
Service at first was ok, but the poor server had way too many tables, so once it got busy he was pretty lost.
Food - tapas style sharing - quality ok (nothing wrong, but also nothing spectacular) , small portions being priced a little on the high side.
We did enjoy everything except the cold (a/c blowing - they fixed it for a while ...)
Each small plate we ordered was an amazing contrast of flavors and textures. The food was delicious a d very satisfying.
We hadn't dined here for a while and it was as good as we remembered. Attentive service, delicious and creative food. Loved the smokiness of the paella and the sauce that accompanied the dates. The asparagus was light and yummy. The only negative was the mussels - they were small and not all that good. Small but nice selection of Spanish wines. Worth the trip!
Convenient location with a menu for foodies! Overall the food was fresh and tasty, but for some reason everything was dipped in salt. The tortilla espanola was good with the layers creating different texture and taste. The seafood paella was alright as the shrimp, squid, clams and mussels had a salt coating and was too much burnt rice. The lamb pintxos was cooked medium style allowing you to taste the natural meat flavor, but had a bit too much fat vs. meat accompanied by vegetables, couscous, pickled shallot and salsa giving you the salt, spice, sour mix to liven up your taste buds. The seating was somewhat cramped and were along the serving path. Service was okay, nothing amazing to comment.
Wonderful food and ambiance.
A favorite for theater nights. Our fourth visit and we’re always happy we decided on Jamonera We shared lamb kabobs, eggplant fries, dates and the tortilla. All were excellent but our favorite by far is the grilled bread. Simple but so delicious! A winner.
Our second time eating at Jamonera...both times a winner. Had a variety of tapas particularly enjoyed the mushroom croquettes and beet salad. Wine pour a bit a the small size for the price but nice selection of wines.
I have been to Jamonera many times since opening and was sorely disappointed on this occasion. The food was good but not great as in the past, the two white wine offerings tried thin and flabby and the service slow and indifferent. My husband and I will probably try Jamonera once again as we’ve had great experiences in the past. But if the performance of the other night is repeated we’ll sadly strike it off our list.
Great food and service. Seafood paella was great and flavorful
Very nice spot to eat. The food was good to very good. The happy hour was not fantastically priced. Outside seating was nice, inside was very small but cozy.
Tapas but portions quite small. Cocktails good. Tables are very small and close together. Service was good. Food was good. With traffic taking 30 minutes to travel 2 miles and difficulty parking probably wouldn't return.
I have consistently loved the food and portions for sharing. Don't miss the Toasts (your choice!) and Veggie Tapas Board. They change but never disappoint. Try the white sangria, too. Staff so very helpful.
Not as many options as I would have expected from a tapas place but the good was good.
I have eaten here three times in three weeks--the place is amazing in every way--'nuf said!
Our first time and we definitely will be back! The pulpo was about the best we’ve had anywhere. Also loved the roasted beets, gambas and steak.
Great food and thoughtful service, in a romantic and creative space.
Very good tapas and entree restaurant with a Spanish / Portuguese flavor. Reasonable prices. Excellent salad, very good paella.
The Iberian Punch and Pulpo were amazing! Being familiar with Tortilla España from time I spent in Spain, I was expecting the dish to be more similar but it's sliced potatoes with a thin layer of the filling.
Such a great spot! We were thrilled with the food and the service. Can't wait to go back again!
Better Spanish food than in Spain. Great service. Good wine list. Come often.
Excellent tapas menu and interesting twist on traditional Spanish drinks. Service was very good too. Plan to return ASAP.
This was a birthday dinner for my sister and her husband and their first time at Jamonera. They loved every dish especially the delicious paella. Happy to see Jamonera is now on the map for them! A winner!
Best Spanish food ever !! Wonderful tasting Menu
One of our favorite restaurants. The food is always exquisite. This time we had the medjool dates, the mushroom croquetas, the seared scallops and the grilled coulotte steak. And the churros.
have been to Jamonera several times and it never disappoints--food is excellent and creative, solid wine list, and the vibe and space is cool--highly recommended
