Jamie's Italian - Yorkdale
Whether you’re grabbing a bite to eat in the cozy bar to refuel after shopping, meeting for a business lunch or a family meal before a movie, Jamie’s Italian is the perfect spot.
Food very salty. Sirloin very dry. Kids lives the pizza and the gelato brownie was delicious:)
Went for dinner with a colleague as we were staying at the hotel across the street. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was a major disappointment. The pasta with truffle didn’t taste at all like truffle, the pasta was dense and heavy, and frankly if it hadn’t been for the Parmesan, had no flavour at all. We both ordered the same dish and the portion sizes were dramatically different.
Went back a second time for lunch on Saturday with 2 colleagues thinking that maybe we just ordered the wrong dish the night before. NOPE! The arancini were very small and bordering on burnt. Pizza was dry and burnt, polenta fries were greasy and tasteless.
There are many less expensive and far better Italian restaurants in the neighborhood.
After my incredible experience at Jamie's in Australia I was very disappointed by this Toronto location
Food was extremely pricey for the type of demographics restaurant attracts. Also my pasta wasn’t cooked soft enough. It was way too hard. Not enough meat sauce on it. The garlic bread appetizer wasn’t good. Please find another spice for topping as the rosemary is horrific.
Food and ambiance was great. Service while very good and friendly was a bit slow. It took a while to place our order.
Food was delicious)) Service was outstanding! Thank you so much for the great night 😊
I had a great time for dinner here. The drinks specials were handy, and the chianti was delicious! The only downside was they had run out of truffle for the tagliatelle, but I got it anyways and it was still delicious. Service was a little slow, but the food came out quickly, so it didn't affect the speed of our meal. We still had a wonderful night.
This is my favourite restaurant! Food and service is amazing
Excellent food and service the only bad thing is the high cost
Enjoyed a fabulous lunch today, wonderful mushroom pizza and a kale salad, such fresh and delicious ingredients! Service exemplary, great ambience. Can’t wait to go back!
The food was served quickly and our server was friendly. It wasn’t too busy on a Friday night. Reservation always recommended.
I would recommend this restaurant to my friends. Good food and I love the ambiance.
- Food is always outstanding, third time visiting the establishment
- Service is very good, food comes out quick
- Much better than Cheesecake Factory, less busy and food is way better.
A few cons: pricey ( but that's Toronto), wish our server would have informed us that one of the plates was extremely spicey. Server did offer to return dish, but we declined. Music is a touch too loud. The restaurant is not loud, but the music it not necessary in my opinion.
Will always head to Jamie's Italian when at Yorkdale, it's always a delicious.
Delicious food and great customer services, all friends of mine are very satisfied with the restaurant food and services.
Excellent food, but service was fair and the music playing had almost nothing to do with the decor. They need a better DJ.
While the ambiance is still magical, the food at this location keeps getting worse and worse. Probably the last time I was here. We were here for my mother’s birthday, which was indicated in the notes, and no mention of it was made / nothing was done to make her feel even a little bit special. Disappointed in the overall experience this time.
The whole visit was great
Food was okay, good for a business lunch/small group of people.
Wait time was long, I think we waited for our food for about 45min and that’s just appetizers. The lady at the reception/front door also took awhile to have us seated even if we had a reservation already. She looked like she was all over the place and wasn’t really focused on what she was doing.
We indicated early on (and on the reservation) that one of us was celiac. It was repeated throughout the dinner, yet the dessert I ordered was not made gluten-free.
Good spot with very flavourful menu full of various Italian favourites.
Best to make a reservation as it was very busy for a weeknight. Slower pace of service due to how busy it was, but good and courteous staff nonetheless.
Sure to visit again!
Went few times now and disappointed every time. I only went again because I let my guest pick the spot. Price is very unfair for the quality of food you receive and not to mention even quantity being so little for the price too. But money aside as i do not mind spending good money if food worth it and this restaurant with anything i ordered is so overpriced for such plain taste. I found my pasta sauce so gross and watery not creamy as it was suppose to be. Tried the tomato sauce too very bland, definitely the restaurant does not know Italian way of cooking at all. The meat plate to share was a joke for the price too. disappointed every time definitely will not go again. Restaurant with lower name and more fast food make much better want to be Italian food then this place and for way less and much tastier too. Felt gross after eating that pasta all day if it was not a business meeting I would of left after trying the first bite of it.
Very good restaurant, nice ambiance, excellent service. A bit expensive
We made request on open table when we made reservations. Server followed through with it.
Excellent food. Excellent service.
Lunch menu is great- really nice selection and very good value.
Met freinds had a great time. Loved back seating, decor and food.
The chicken mattone was amazing
the steak was sub par in quality (try angus not triple A garbage) and had zero flavour
the fried mushrooms....were disgusting overfried and breaded....all they need is a dusting of flour and kissed in oil...
The tomato sauce is to bitter, I can get better out of a jar
the server was amazing she needs a raise
Jamie and the head chef should be ashamed of calling it an Italian restaurant....
I can better food at home and embarrassed to take my girlfriend there
I will never eat there again
I had very high expectations from the truffle pizza and the burrata. It can be so much better. Nonetheless, everything else on the table was good, and recommendable :)
Always love dining at Jaime’s Italian! Always happy with our meals! Will be back again and again! ❤️
Nice cozy table on back
Great job to all, I made specific requests, and I got exactly what I asked for. Food was delicious, it came hot and in timely fashion despite the busy night. Service was outstanding.
We enjoyed a nice dinner. Food and drinks were great!
We were served for many different servers, the meat arrived and our side arrived 5min later. We ordered a Pepsi and it took forever to come. It was always very price for the poor quality of service mas regular food!
The pasta we ordered arrived lukewarm. The pizza was delicious. The music was unnecessarily loud. Service was pleasant.
Great food and atmosphere. Knowledgeable stuff but somewhat erratic service- probably due to how busy the place gets.
Service was slow, food was fine but nothing special. Expected more. Won’t return.
This was a second time for me, and a first time for my guests to eat at Jamie's Italian, Yorkdale. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were very pleased with our server. She understood that we wanted time between our appetizers and our meal and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. It certainly impressed our friends and it impressed me too. We will definitely return.
We chose Jamie's Italian because we needed to eat close to home. I have been a few other times and always had a god meal. I had never been there on a Saturday night. We had a 6:30 reservation, and our friends arrived before we did. Apparently, the hostess told them that there was a 2 hour limit on the table and we had to be done by 8 pm (which, according to my math was only 1.5 hours!). We were late due to the traffic getting into the mall, and arrived shortly after 6:30. Our waitress was helpful and efficient, but you could tell the restaurant was understaffed that night. I have celiac disease. There are many options for me and I chose a salad and a pasta. The husbands both ordered the steaks. One of the men does not mix meat with milk. When my salad arrived, I asked if it was the gluten free one and was told yes. On the first bite, I noticed a rogue crouton! Luckily, I didnt eat it and the waitress swapped it for another one. However, her response was that it must have fallen off of my friends salad into mine! Hmm. When the mains arrived, the steaks had parmesan cheese sprinkled on them! My friend asked to see a menu to see if he had missed the 'cheese' part of the description. The waitress told him that they always put cheese on and that they must have left it off the new menus but that she would get him a new one without cheese! Luckily, the manager took that off our bill as he had to watch us eat while waiting to eat! For mall food, its ok. I would never go there on a Saturday night again!
I am Italian so unfortunately the Bolognese just didn’t do it for me. The rosemary focaccia bread was delicious but that’s all I enjoyed. I prefer my noodles al dente for sure but they were a little too al dente.
Waitress didn’t seem that interested and it was 5:00 pm so not terribly busy.. sorry but with the other choices at Yorkdale I don’t think I’ll be back. $210 for 4 adults and 2 kiddies seemed pricey... love Jamie Oliver though
Great food. Great service .
