Jamie's Italian - Yorkdale
Whether you’re grabbing a bite to eat in the cozy bar to refuel after shopping, meeting for a business lunch or a family meal before a movie, Jamie’s Italian is the perfect spot.
Service we had was good, food was fresh and ambiance was good. I would definitely return.
Our server was lovely and our hostess turned down the music for us. Great service and good food.
Too noisy (young families, screaming kids) Uncomfortable chairs in dining, pizzas were not hot, charcuterie board was a RIP off. My pasta was good. Too pricey when all considered.
I was disappointed - I was excited to go and try because I love Jamie's cooking style- have and use his cookbooks, food-tube all the time. Sorry! I wish I had better reviews and sorry that I won't be returning.
Inconsistent to other visits. Food was still great, but service was very disappointing this time. Still a fan of the restaurant
Went for lunch and it was delicious! Service was excellent and food was spectacular. Carbonara was excellent and a generous portion. Can't wait to go back!
The food was ok. We did a bunch of apps and a pizza with the 2 salads.
The service was disappointing.
Our waiter came at the beginning. Then we had to flag him down all night.
Our second course took forever to arrive.
He never came back to see how we were doing.
First time dining there with some out of town family visiting. Sarah was our server and she was excellent. We will return - thank you. All 5 of us had pasta - but there is much more on the menu to enjoy on next visit.
My friend and I have out annual summer meet-up at Jamie's. It never disappoints.
Poor service, food was mediocre, dining room looked like bomb went off.
Everything was good minus the food. The food was super bland and this was across three different main courses. Serious improvement needed as this has been my second experience like this.
The kids’ menu salad was far too acidic with too much balsamic vinegar for a child’s taste.
My salad with cottage cheese and pomegranate seeds was too spicy, did not gave enough cottage cheese nor enough pomegranate seeds to be really refreshing! The pizza, the soup and the pasta were good.
Service was great. Excellent waitress. Excellent food. Very enjoyable. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
The calamari was delicious! The pasta I had wasn’t great flavour and had something off about it.
The food gave me indigestion and I had a stomachache the rest of the day.
They sat us at the back, dark part of the restaurant. It seemed they were keeping the front clear and empty, which is odd because it wasn’t busy and the front was much more aesthetically pleasing than the back corner.
Wouldn’t go back
I ordered the steak frites and I was disappointed. Not sure if I would go again.
Very disappointed dinner at the famous celebrity restaurant, not the best services and foods.
Excellent, great fresh pasta, and amazing server.
Met my flat mates from 20+ years ago for dinner. Service was excellent. Our waitress knew we hadn’t seen each other in a long time so was very kind to not rush us and let us chat awhile after dinner was paid.
We all had pasta and each dish was very good, prices were very reasonable.
I asked the hostess for a table at the back of the restaurant in a quiet area to accommodate the conversation I was expecting to have with my dining partner. Unfortunately, all tables at the back of the restaurant are for larger groups. We opted for a table instead by the window which was fine as the restaurant was not busy this Monday night. Table sizes are way too small to accommodate a number of plates. No bread is offered either. Thankfully, we had a very attentive server and it was half price on bottles of wine. My Royal Caprese salad was delicious but the Porcini Fettucine was forgettable. It lacked flavour once you ate all the mushrooms and were left with pasta only. Additional garlic and mushrooms would help.
Overall, it was an average dining experience and with all the dining choices at Yorkdale, I will choose somewhere else on my next dining experience at the mall.
Went for Summerlicious. Enjoyed it overall. Bolognese sauce was delicious.
First time visit and will definitely go back. Food was very good and up to standard.
Food is overrated in my opinion, lacks true Italian flavours and style. Overpriced restaurant.
I've been visiting Jamie's Italian for the past three Summer/Winterlicious. I'm happy to say that the quality of the food stayed perfect, but the portions got visibly smaller despite the price been the same. The main course options were a bit more interesting as well. I remember the amazing pasta with shrimps I got the first time. Delicious!
Thank you for providing an overall good experience.
Food was quite good for the licious price. Food was hot. Not many options which contained vegetables... very starchy but delicious. Service was not that great. We hardly saw our server.... managers and server assistances brought us our meals and cleared our dishes. Our server took our orders, filled our water, quality checked, and gave us our bill.
We arrived ten minutes before our reservation and we were asked to return at our designated time. It didn't seem busy at all, so that was a little weird. The food was alright, it was good for the $33 Summerlicious, but nothing special.
Really great service, but food wasn’t the greatest! Had higher expectations
We went for Summerlicious- our apps, drinks and desserts were great. However our mains were a serious disappointment. Our experience started out with waiting over an hour for our mains- only to be told the cooks were ‘in the weeds’ and had bumped our orders and mistakenly thought they had already been sent out. The server told us a rush had been placed on them to be made. They came out extremely undercooked and very salty. We notified the server who took them back to be redone. A manager came and told us that’s actually how the dishes are meant to taste.....extremely disappointing. The redone dishes came back just as inedible. When the server asked, we were honest. The manager did not come back to ask or offer her apologies and we were not discounted on our bill for our meals. We were extremely underwhelmed and disappointed with our experience.
Awful! It took two hours to have our meal at lunch. Way too long for a lunch meal! Meal was decent but portions are not a good size. The servers were running around and very unorganized. Not enough people to handle the amount of clients! In between each meal, it was at least 30 min. I asked for my sons ice cream after he finished his meal, it did not come to the table for an hour. Don’t go there unless you have a lot of time on your hands! I would not recommend this restaurant.
Great place. We went during sunnerlicious so the 3 course meal for $33 was definitely a bargain. The truffle shuffle pizza was the highlight, and they definitely gave large portions of dessert.
Overall it was a good experience. Servers were pleasant food were served in a timely manner.
the food was very mediocre, I expected more. For an Italian restaurant, the pasta should never be overcooked.
I've been to Jamie's Italian before and it was amazing food and service.
This time however, we came for the Summerlicious lunch menu and although the app (ravioli) was great, the main course, Jamie's chicken salad was not. I took my sister, her husband and my boyfriend for the lunch as a thank you present to my sister. Three of us had the chicken salad and it wasn't presented as highlighted. There was no pancetta, it was two slices of what looked like ready to eat bacon from the frozen food section, there was no parmigiano reggiano and it was one boiled egg chopped in half. We weren't too impressed. My bf complained his salad greens were brown and wilted.
The service was great as usual and the dessert cheesecake was very good.
Disappointing. Food was not special and too expensive for the quality of dishes
Team culture among staff is "fend for yourself"
Food was good not great
Service was poor
When speaking to manager about multiple issues - including no one clearing our plates away - she said I'm sorry and walked away... Without taking our plates away either!
Culture comes from the top...
Really pathetic menu and poor value for the money
Superfood salad was disappointing but practically all I could find on the menu that wasn’t a bunch of processed food pasta or cold cuts
Noisy atmosphere with loud music
Very difficult to have a conversation
Not that busy and seems like The only people going there couldn’t get into Cheesecake Factory
If you are planning on going for summerlicious don’t! They modify the dishes to give smaller portions - and the regular price basically adds up to the summerlicious price anyway. Food is decent but not outstanding.
It was an amazing experience. I went to my wife and son to celebrate my birthday and the employee Paul took care of us and definitely it was perfect.
Thank you so much for the way that you connect with customers.
The carbonara pasta for the summerlicious menu was'not good.
The waiter was great. As always, the food was Tasty.
The server was rude and the food was mediocre at best. I will never return.
First time and had a wonderful experience with the Summerlicious 2019 lunch menu! The seafood soup, porcini fettuccini and gelato trio were to die for delish! Our server, Jerome was fantabulous, knowledgeable and had great recommendations. Will definitely be back soon!
