Jamie's Italian, Piccadilly
Both areas are available for hire for any occasion and we also have several other areas, each with their own unique style, that would suit diners, celebrations and events for 40-130 people. Get in touch.
It is an average restaurant with an atmosphere that resembles a pub. Average food.
As expected good food and good service. Children’s drawing items to keep them occupied.
We had a quick meal before the theatre. It was very taste, albeit a small portion (lasagne). Would certainly order it again.
The value for money was not at all the expected one. Not very large portions. The pasta from one of the portions wasovercooked. There were delicious things but others were pretty normal to be an italian restaurant that well known.
Visited at a busy time but was well looked after and the food was excellent.
Been to Jamie's several times. Always loved it. But took visiting family for dinner and it was a disaster. Definitely NOT a place for families during Christmas season. Was seated in bar area despite having a reservation. It was packed with patrons who were absolutely hammered drunk. One lady fell on the floor in front of our table. Kind of ruined the dinner. Food was, as always, great. Service was stressed. Most occasions, it's a great place. Just pick your nights carefully.
Too noisy. Not a restaurant for lovely dinner. Food below par, not matching Jamie's name.
Really helpful staff
Booked for a birthday dinner, pre-theatre - have eaten at other branches of Jamie’s Italian where the food was excellent and good value - however, in this branch upstairs seating is like sitting in an over loud school canteen - food was very average - burrata was not fresh, pasta undercooked - poor by comparison with the most basic high street italian restaurant. Service was glacial - we eventually had to physically get hold of a waiter to get our bill or we would have risked missing the start of the show. This is not the fault of the waiting staff - they simply didnt have enough staff on duty - this is exceptionally poor management and at these sort of prices this is unforgiveable - avoid this branch at all costs
i did not stay
Rather tired converted pub with few diners and little atmosphere. Food was OK, generous portions but no pizzazz. Good value but not a suitable venue for an occasion or date. Underwhelming refurbishmant of an old boozer. I doubt it can survive 2019.
The food was absolutely disgusting. From the appetizers and the salad, to the main course , which was truffle tagliatelle( and tasted like fish)... such a waste of time and money...
I first visited 3 years ago and had been very impressed. This time the staff were slow to serve me, complained among themselves about how much they hated working there and even berated other workers - all within earshot. Even cleanliness was a concern - the wineglass was streaky and the washrooms were in very poor state - toilets not working well and constantly running. I'm not often in London, but I am sure I won't revisit this location when I am.
Great for a larger group. Very hospitable and welcoming staff.
Very poor, completely disorganised. Very rude waitress at the door. Had our table cancelled after 15min. We were with a baby and they didn’t try to accommodate. It was noisy and busy, but not the good busy.
I love Jamie Oliver, and was very excited to go to this restaurant on our visit from USA, we were very disappointed, everything from food, service to ambiance was very average
Great restaurant in the heart of London. Wonderful food with great service. Lovely!!
Went for mums birthday, food was fabulous, service excellent and quick, prices very reasonable for London
The food was really outstanding, exceeded my expectations. Ambient beautiful, nice, relaxed. Staff very friendly helpful, despite the crowd quickly served. I would recommended this restaurant.
My husband and I had booked the restaurant as a Valentine's day treat, we felt very rushed, the bar staff were incompetent and slow, we sat down to dinner at 9.15pm and had finished and paid the bill at 10.05 pm. We had starters and mains. 55 mins for a complete meal, our starters and main meals arrived together and the quality of the food was quite poor! They were not very helpful when I explained that I had dietary requirements and due to allergies could not eat certain foods, this has never been a problem in any other restaurant!!
I will most definitely not be returning and would not recommend anybody else to go there either!!
Booked this restaurant on Valentine's night I ordered rib eye steak then they came back and said they had none would I like to order something else. I could not believe that valentines night they did not have all the menu then my partners starter did not come with mine she had to go and ask for it the service was not good I ordered drinks and they took forever to arrive
very nice waiter, unfortunately a bit too loud music to be able to speak in a normal conversational tone.pasta and Burger was really good. Unfortunately it was not the same high quality meats.
We had an excellent post theatre meal at Jamie's Italian Piccaddilly. Made extra special by great service. Our waiter - called Zsolt - was extremely knowledgable about the menu and specials and couldn't be more helpful throughout the evening. Quality of food was excellent. The only minor irritation was being on a small table on the main route to the toilets meaning regular bumps and jolts from passing diners. But i am being very picky - didn't spoil an excellent experience.
I had my birthday meal her, group of 10, great fun, good food and good service. Can't fault it. We had the table all evening and didn't feel rushed - perfect.
Service was shocking. Booked a table for 8 and say down at 9:15... Pretty sure they forgot about us!! No apology either. Took a while for food service as well.
We enjoyed our dinner at the Jamies Italian a lot. The food was delicious and the service staff was very very kind and helpful. Even though the drinks were fantastic. I would definetly go there again if i have the chance. But you have to reserve a table in advance, otherwise you have to wait a few hours, but the food, the drinks and the service are worth it!
I think Jamie's Italian is a Pretty great place for
a family diner or groups. The ambience is
very good. Only the staff is very busy so if you
have a question or something you will have to wait. And we got a wrong starter, and it took a
while to get it solved with the right ones.
But the food is great, the tastes are unique.
If you don't like unstandard meals you should
probably visit some place else.
My overall experience was good.
Good food, good service. But spoiled by having to shout above the music blaring out. It was good music but way too loud for a restaurant
Everything was perfect, allthough the music was a bit too loud - so it was not easy to talk to each other!
Good food, let down by extremely poor service. Lack of communication from waiters.
Food was cold, they ran out of ketchup, gave tomato purée instead and said was ketchup!!!
Drinks ordered but forgotten.
Told we owed them money at the end as we didn't pay the service charge!! Service charge is discretionary, the food and service did not warrant a tip - appalled!
The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the price was not expensive!
I was very disappointed with the food. My husband got the turkey Milanese, which was pounded so thin it was overcooked, dry, and ver difficult to cut. I had the free- range chicken which was slightly underdone and the skin was not crisp or even brown. My starter was the crab crostini which was fairly flavorless and my husband had the crispy squid which barely had the breaded part still attached when it arrived. Also my husband order a martini which arrive half empty and my ginger mojito which had no alcohol was stuffed with ice so then really wasn't anything to drink. We decided to get our dessert elsewhere because we didn't want to give this restaurant any more of our money. Overall we were no impressed with any of the food.
The only bad thing was that we had a 5-people reservation and table was round and too small. They insisted at least 3 times by 3 different people telling that we needed to leave under 1,5 hours from arriving time (not suitable they remind us that often in the very first 5 minutes of our dinner, just a hint)
Terrible service! Meals were brought out at different times. One meal was wrong so had to send back and wait for the correct meal. Asked for seasoned vegetables as a side and was given a bowl of courgette’s (I don't like courgette’s) was under the impression seasoned vegetables would be more than one vegetable. Also my meal was so salty I could not eat it. Asked for breakfast tea and was given green tea. Would not go back and pretty unimpressed with "Jamie Oliver’s" restaurant. Have had better meals at my local pub. Only good side was they didn't charge us for the vegetables or tea. I don't normally write reviews but was so unimpressed and this was a anniversary treat for my parents before a show so was very disappointed.
Great service, good food.
We just needed a quick bite to eat and it ticked all the boxes. Great value wine, lovely pasta and salad would thoroughly recommend. The waitress was friendly and efficient all in all a very good experience. Would definitely return.
The waiter was friendly. The food are quite good, especially the steak, rocket salad and baked mushroom. The local beer served there is good as well. I will recommend this restaurant to other friends.
