My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with our family by dining once again at Jameson’s in Skokie. This restaurant has become our favorite venue for celebrating events, and, once again, we had an excellent experience. I tried their Dark and Stormy cocktail, an on-the-rocks beverage based upon spiced rum. I enjoyed it so much that I had to order a second 😘! For starters, my son-in-law chose the Buffalo Wings (BBQ) and Potato Skins, both very good. Freshly baked small loaves of bread were amply provided. My wife and I ordered the 12oz Prime Rib special, as we have in the past, and we were not disappointed. The immense cut was cooked to our specifications, was moist, tender, and tasty – a superior entrée! The creamy horseradish sauce that was served on the side added to the experience. For the side dish, we chose Mashed Potatoes: great! My wife also ordered the tossed salad while I opted for the soup-of-the-day: cream of chicken, both of which were quite satisfying. Our attentive and excellent server, Linda, brought us a (complimentary) serving of “Goldbrick Cake” for dessert – super! In summary, Jameson’s fully met our hopes and expectations for a top-notch dinner experience.

The food and service are excellent. We were seated quickly and given water and menus promptly. There are always interesting specials available in addition to the regular menu, which is large. In addition, glasses of wine are reasonably priced.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years, and they used to have tasty food and reasonable prices. Why they have now chosen to serve poorer cuts of meat and raise their prices to unreasonable levels is beyond us. Are they trying to disrespect and repel their customer base. We have noticed some of our other favorite dining spots have done the same thing, and we will not be returning to this Skokie Jamison's Charterhouse or to many of our other old ex-favorites either.

Jamesons will do in a pinch but there are too many genuinely good steak place options nearby to settle for this one. The prime rib and filet mignon were ok but not particularly great. If the convenience of the location works for you then it's not a bad place. Prices are reasonable. I would not go back but I've definitely had much worse dining experiences.

We go to the Northlight Theatre, before or after, a performance we enjoy dinner Jameson's. Jameson is always consistence with great food and drink. The staff is pleasant, and the service is outstanding. Are most recent visit, I had their chicken, which is delicious. Our waitress, Rebecca, gave us outstanding service, she was very knowledgeable, about the menu, very pleasant.

As usual, a wonderfully consistent delicious meal with unfailing service and attention to detail. Our server Dino was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Cocktails, appetizers, soup and salads, were presented in orderly fashion allowing for a little bit of time between courses. Steaks were cooked perfectly and served on a hot plate to ensure warmth was maintained. This is a special occasion place for us and it never fail us!

My dining friend and I made our first visit to Jameson's Charhouse last night and were delighted at how good it was! The ambience is low-lighting steakhouse: white tablecloths, experienced and capable waitstaff, and a comfortable conversation level. I had the chicken with artichokes, and my friend had a medium-rare hamburger with mushrooms and swiss cheese. My friend said wow! I ordered my burger medium-rare, and it's medium-rare! A good burger with fries and fresh trimmings. My chicken with artichokes entreé was presented in an absolutely delicious sauce. Each entrée came with a tasty seafood chowder as first course. Everything: ambience, food, service,and reasonable price, gets high points! We'll be back soon.
