Food was excellent. A party behind our table was so noisy, we had trouble conversing. Bring in a noise specialist to make suggestions for reducing the level of noise. Many (most?) of your clients are older, so hearing is an issue.

This was our 2nd visit to Jameson's. It's a decent restaurant, though we had a mixed experience. I found the plastic coated menus out of character for an upscale restaurant. My partner initially ordered a cocktail from the menu, to be told a key component was not available. While it was later found, this was an odd way to begin the event. We started with a shared Ceasar salad. The dressing was quite mildly flavored, though the romaine was crisp. For our main course, he had a delightful and beautifully grilled pork chop, while I ordered a chicken breast with artichokes and synthetic dried tomatoes. The chicken was under seasoned and overcooked, something easy to do when the cut is thin. We often eat first with our eyes. Presentation of both plates could have been much better. The pork chop was dropped on a white plate with chunks of roast potatoes. The chicken dish was pale, save for a few sun-dried tomatoes in an unnecessarily heavy and pale yellowish sauce. A contrasting sprinkling or sprig of parsley would have added a lot. While we may return, Jameson's is not a destination restaurant for us. It's fine, but a few minor changes would make it better.

Was pretty disappointed with the overall experience at this Jamesons Steak House in Skokie. We went to see a concert next door at the NSCFTPA and I thought Jamesons would be a natural fit. Not so much. Food was average at best. This was our first time at the Jamesons and we shan’t be going back.

This is our go-to for celebrations. The Prime Rib was amazing, as always. They no longer have a vegetable with it, but the first course salad was enough. The dessert (I think Gold Rush Cake) was rich and delicious, but made for two. Our server, Kim, was excellent - attentive but not hovering and a good conversationalist. Will absolutely go again

Pros: Great, low-vibe, neighborhood steak house. Very culturally diversified patrons. Bar area is separate from the main dining room. Cons: all whites in front of the house, all Hispanics in back of the house, no Black staff. But everyone is nice, so no problem there. 2) long way to the bathrooms which are out in the connected hotel lobby

Seating went well as I requested a booth and we got one. Waiter might have been new. He was very pleasant, but confused wine order. Hamburgers were delicious. Overall, a goose place to go if you’re seeing an event next door.

To the point, Jameson's is a "go to" restaurant even if we aren't attending the Northlight Theater next door • Staff is universally genuinely friendly and highly skilled • Server Bobby took excellent care of us even though the restaurant was quite busy • The cocktail and food menus are affordable and varied • Reservations suggested as the restaurant is attached to the busy Doubletree hotel.

We love the food! The BBQ ribs are the best in the area (even better than Carson’s)! Value is also relatively affordable and fair. While we usually love our server (the older gentleman that serves the south end tables), last night the service was less than friendly… maybe the server had an off night. Nonetheless - we love Jameson and will keep dining there when we’re in the mood for ribs or a good hamburger.

My daughter and I had the best time last night . Service was awesome and the food was outstanding ! Large portions ( take the rest home ) .I have been going to this restaurant for a very long time and it never disappoints .Staff is so friendly always .

Our entrees were served before we were done with our salads. My medium petite filet was close to well done. I ordered a glass of red wine to be served with my entree, and it arrived when my entree was nearly eaten. Overall, it was not a good experience.

We had two salads and bottled water for $80! The bacon bits were inedible as the blu cheese crumbles. The bread was hard as a rock. There was no one to help us when we wanted to pay. The restaurant was empty. Thoroughly disappointing. Lousy food that was way too expensive.

Place was clean but I was charged a big Cesar salad on top of 4 small Caesar salads 🤷‍♀️didn’t notice at the time because we were in a hurry to go to see a play next door. Also, I was served an undercooked salmon which I sent back to the kitchen. They cooked it a bit more and brought it back after about 5 minutes. Not a great experience. Thank you.

Our order was a simple one, steaks. It took forever for the server to take our order, let alone deliver the food we ordered. We arrived at 6:15 and had a 8 pm show to get to right next door. Our food arrived at 7:30. 20 minutes to eat our steaks. Rather rediculous amount of time to wait and also not being served bread or water even after we requested it. Disappointing visit since we have been there multiple times prior with no issues.

My liver and onions and wedge salad were very good. My waitress was excellent until the restaurant got busy. Then she TOTALLY ignored me re: asking for the check, asking for boxes for my leftovers and asking for change from the $50 bill I put down with my check. That part, aside from the food, was very disappointing!

My girlfriend and I went for dinner at Jameson's Charhouse before a play at nearby Northlight Theatre. It was a great experience with optimal attention (not too little, not too much) by our server, Niko. It was the best eating experience (food, service, ambience) I've had in along time.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with our family by dining once again at Jameson’s in Skokie. This restaurant has become our favorite venue for celebrating events, and, once again, we had an excellent experience. I tried their Dark and Stormy cocktail, an on-the-rocks beverage based upon spiced rum. I enjoyed it so much that I had to order a second 😘! For starters, my son-in-law chose the Buffalo Wings (BBQ) and Potato Skins, both very good. Freshly baked small loaves of bread were amply provided. My wife and I ordered the 12oz Prime Rib special, as we have in the past, and we were not disappointed. The immense cut was cooked to our specifications, was moist, tender, and tasty – a superior entrée! The creamy horseradish sauce that was served on the side added to the experience. For the side dish, we chose Mashed Potatoes: great! My wife also ordered the tossed salad while I opted for the soup-of-the-day: cream of chicken, both of which were quite satisfying. Our attentive and excellent server, Linda, brought us a (complimentary) serving of “Goldbrick Cake” for dessert – super! In summary, Jameson’s fully met our hopes and expectations for a top-notch dinner experience.
