Been here many times, this is the first time I’ve been disappointed in both the food and the service. Restaurant was not crowded (it usually is) but the service was not only slow but waitress didn’t bring some additional items we asked for. Food was just ok, not what it usually is. Maybe it was an off night, but I’ll think long and hard before dropping 200.00 on a birthday celebration here.
great food and service. I would rate it 10!
Will definitely return soon with family and friends.
Nice traditional steak place. Good value. Good staff. Classic dinner spot. Always good food and drinks. Nice spot for business meals. Not too noisy.
Enjoyed the evening...with family. Got right in and had a nice table...great wait staff.
We were a party of 4 seated at a cramped, small booth when there were larger booths available. Then we were there for 20 minutes before our waitress took our drink order, then she kept forgetting the bread, then brought us too much bread, and when I asked for my steak medium they brought me rare, so I sent it back and reminded the waitress I asked for medium, she took it and brought it back burnt. And on top of that the mashed potatoes were EXTREMELY over salted to the point that I could not eat them. It ruined my birthday, to be honest. I will not be going there again.
They didn't have the vodka in stock to make the martinis that we always get when we dine there. Chicken was completely over cooked. Service was just average. Disappointed in our dinner that evening.
The overall experience was good, but we have had better service in the past, and the restrooms definitely needed some attention.
Our food was good as usual, and I would still return for other occasions.
Easter Sunday.....very busy but still excellent service. Soup was lukewarm and so was the entree, but it still was delicious.
wont ever go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obviously can’t manage a holiday crowd. Seated 45 minutes after our OpenTable reservation.
A wonderful dining experience to celebrate Easter. As always, the food was excellent and service impeccable. Jameson’s continues to be a favorite and we look forward to many more great meals.
My husband ordered swordfish with a twice baked potato and both were over cooked and dry. How could they mess up something so straightforward?? I need to eat gluten/wheat free and the options were incredibly limited. Chicken was off limits as all sauces are prepared ahead of time and they contain wheat. Fish sautéed with oregano and olive oil was my only option. Layer on top of that, the relatively pricey menu, this was a very disappointing visit and we will not be back. There are so many restaurants out there with fantastic food that also welcome gluten free patrons with open arms, so we will go to those restaurants instead.
Great food and great service!
Our waitress was amazing. Very detailed oriented and personal. She was very quick
Steady decline in food quality over our last 3 visits. This last visit, the Filet's were very low quality meat. Could not cut them in any direction - they more like pulled apart instead and were VERY fatty. A couple hours later both my wife & I became sick. Have now added this restaurant to our "restaurants that are dead to us" list. Too bad, it used to be good, but 3-strikes & you're out!
Date night with hubby
Always love Jameson’s Bloomingdale.
I had the parmasean crusted sea bass and it was absolutely fabulous. Service was impeccable and the meal was enjoyable.
Had the Chilean sea bass. My friend had it last time, tasted it, loved it. I ordered it and was so glad that I did. Chris, our waiter, gave various meal suggestions. All were on the money! We even finished the fab meal with the carrot cake. Yum.
Great food and location - wait staff was helpful and efficient
Big menu, reasonable prices, good food, good service.
Service was slower than expected for a non peak time. Soup was barely warm. Table is in desperate need of refinishing.
Great food, great service.
Great meal. Came out for the prime rib special and it was delicious as always.
The steaks, soup and asparagus were great and the rest was average. The steaks were done as ordered and had great flavor. The first table booth had a draft but second table in the corner was fine. The service was great for the last sitting of the night. The desserts were okay. The key lime pie had great taste and texture but green (food coloring). The tarimisu was different in that it was orange liqueur based but was okay
Made a reservation for 7:15 and didn’t get seated until 8:00. They ran out of sparkling water which was disappointing. Steaks had to be sent back. Not even close to being cooked as requested. We dine here often and don’t usually have any complaints. They were extremely busy and maybe just had an off day.
Great Service, Great Food, and comfortable ambience
Diner with out of town guests who now love Jameson’s as much as we do! A great evening of good food and service made for an outstanding time
We eat at this Jameson's quite often. Our server Sarah was Awesome. I always order the 6oz Filet and it's always been delicious tonight it tasted like charcoal. I had to cut the whole outside off just to eat it. When we brought it to the manager Ryan's attention he said I'm sorry but when you get it char broiled that it has that charcoal taste to it so maybe next time I shouldn't orderr it that way. I said I didn't order it any differently then how I usually order it & that this time I was really disappointed. He said I'm sorry & have a nice evening & walked away. I feel that he really wasn't interested in what we had to say. I will go back & give it another try just disappointed in the management staff.
We have been to Jameson's before but never to Bloomingdales location be we were not disappointed the food was great and service was excellent
Taking note of some of the reviews since January of this year.....I couldn't help but wonder if we are all writing about the same Jameson's in Bloomingdale. We dine here regularly and the wait for a table is immediate or perhaps 5 minutes. But then we like to dine in the "bar area" rather than the main dining room. Service at the bar or sitting in the really comfortable booths has always made for a perfect evening. The fresh fish, chicken and steak has always been delicious. We are regulars who enjoy coming 3-5 times a month.
making a reservation doesn't guarantee you a time to be seated. We waited an additional 17 minutes & that was only because I said I would leave a bad review if we were not seated.
Other than the fruit flies it was good. They could turn the lighting down a bit for better ambiance. We complained about the fruit flies and the waitress just made a joke of it.
The food was excellent and the portions are large. Soup, salad, and a side are included. Good service and a comfortable atmosphere.
We were seated quickly; server was pleasant; our food came quickly and was very good. Overall it was a great evening.
Very mature setting without the need to over dress. Drinks are marvelous and steaks are outstanding. Not a fan of the specials as I believe regular menu is a better offer in almost every case (i.e. which is not a bad thing). It would be great if there were more options on the vegetables and perhaps one additional choice of soup. However, let me be clear, this is my favorite restaurant for atmosphere, food and setting. It is my first choice for special occasion.
Greek Salad w/Salmon ..... excellent and so very fresh "Fish"..... like always.
Wednesday "Happy Hour" at the bar only. We enjoyed the "Oysters Rockefeller" 1/2 price appetizer and a favorite entree "Greek Salad w/chicken". Bartenders Chris and Alex very attentive ... wonderful evening of dining like always.
Always excellent....Greek Salad w/chicken was perfect as was the whole evening...Friday and Saturday evenings are always very busy....make a reservation .
