Jameson's Charhouse - Bloomingdale Ratings and Reviews
The food was perfect as always. Our server tho was lacking. Her customer service skills I would have to say were below par compared to the service we have had in the past! She did not even provide a signature drink menu I had to ask for it. She tried to rush us through our ordering process. We never got that warm and fuzzy feeling from her. We got the I don't care feeling from her. But we did not let her spoil our night. We made the best of it and really enjoyed the food!
Jamison’s is one of our favorite places. My filet was cooked a little more than I asked for(not too much but more than I usually like). The waitress was very nice but brought out bill without asking if all was ok. If we wanted dessert or coffee. She did ask after she brought it but I felt like we were being rushed then. This was later in the evening so there were not other people waiting at that time. I will say, that it was Valentine’s Day so when we arrived it was very busy. That’s probably the reason for my above complaints.
Having said that, that is not usual for Jamison’s. We will definately go back. All and all, was a good time .
dinner specials were overpriced. Dinner salad wad nothing but lettuce and 1 cherry tomato. The broccoli soup was good. The main course sea bass with egg wash was worst fish I've had at a restaurant in years. It was small piece of fish encased in what was basically a fried egg. It had no taste. side of spinach came with too much butter.
There are too many alternatives restaurants in the area to go back to Jameson's. We chose it for this meal because it was convenient to work.
This location is hanging by a thread. Not clean. The window blinds are about to fall off.
Food was mediocre. Not up to the standards that Jameson's set in the past. The piece of steak with the steak and shrimp could not have been dryer (or smaller). I had ordered medium rare and what mI got was cooked way to well. We have crossed this place off our list.
The venue was clean, service was good, food was mediocre and certainly not worth the price on the menu. I had a filet and crab cake meal with asparagus and twice baked potato. Ordered the steak medium, it was correctly cooked on one side and cooked to well done on the other side. The asparagus was very large and not at all tender. The twice baked potato was overcooked to the point it was brown and brittle on the outside with only a small amount of edible material in the very center.
We had a reservation for 7:30 and didn’t get seated until 7:50 but there is a nice, large waiting area to stand in so it wasn’t too bad. Our server was friendly and our food arrived promptly. The food quality is just ok but you do get both soup and salad with the meal.
Understaffed for NY Day. Very slow service, although server did her best. Sea bass was not the way I asked it to be prepared, although server placed the order correctly. Sent it back and it was much better, but still was prepared with lots of butter when I specified no butter. Steaks were so so.
The food was very good our server was NOT she seemed like she was new was not paying attention to our table to clear plates etc.
Did not tell us her name I had to ask
One of my friends ordered and half slab of ribs they brought her a full slab
Did not ask if we wanted dessert I asked for a menu
We have always had a good experience at Jamison’s. However not this time. It was New Year’s Eve and we waited 30 minutes to be seated despite our reservation. Then the service was slow. The food was also not as good as usual. The fish and filet were both not very tasty.
