Jameson's Charhouse - Bloomingdale Ratings and Reviews
Not as good as other Jameson's I've been to. Service was just ok. Our waiter was kinda rude to my wife, asking her to hold on she was busy with something else before taking her drink order. Then just dumping the check on the table without asking if we wanted desert or coffee at the end. Like she wanted to get rid of us. Food was just ok, nothing special. But still a good value for the money and a good place to talk with friends.
we got together with family to celebrate for Christmas. we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace as it was cold outside. Those who had onion soup said it was very good and all entrees were good. my wife did say her steak caesar salad had too much dressing and was soggy when it arrived.
Food as good as ever but service was not up to par. We waited a really long time for our food. As always, no place to sit in foyer. One dining chair in that cavernous space. Some comfy upholstered seating around fireplace would be welcoming and is much-needed.
5th different Jameson's we have been to now. Very nice romantic place with wonderful food and plenty of it with soup and salad included. A little disgruntled my kabobs did not have tomatoes or onions and wife thought her twice baked potato was too dry, but we still had enjoyable meal. Service was impeccable.
Service was great. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server Chris was amazing as always and the food was even better. My husband had the bone in ribeye and I had the sirloin. They both were perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Key lime pie is a must try.
We will be back soon :)
This was not the best dinner I have had here. I ordered the prime rib medium rare and it came out pink and dry as if it had been reheated. I asked for au jus and never got it. Being that my other dinners have been good I guess this was an off day for the kitchen.
The salad is uninspired (just a small portion of lettuce with one cherry tomato and a few grated carrot pieces) as are the vegetables (just plainly steamed broccoli, no seasoning.) The foyer/reception area is unwelcoming with only a few dining chairs for seating. It needs some comfortable chairs or sofas around the fireplace, which was not lit on a chilly night.
This was not the usual Jameson experience. We had a reservation, and on the form indicated it was for an anniversary. We were taken to a table in the bar area (we have never been seated there before.) The booths there are terribly cramped for four, with 2 large posts under the table. Service was incredibly slow. We were seated at 5:30 and it was 7:15 when we left. Also, I ordered kabobs which were supposed to have mushrooms. When I asked about them I was told they no longer came with mushrooms but that the menu had not been updated. When we go there for special occasions we never mention the occasion, but since it asked on the form I put it down, but it was never mentioned to us by the staff. Very disappointing experience.
Five of us who are retired from the same place of employment got together for lunch. Three of us had the chopped steak for $10.95, a very good deal. Service was very good. Had minor problem with Arnie Palmer drinks as the apparently didn't realize that they ran out of lemonade, but this was quickly rectified. Would recommend it for any ocasion.
