Jameson's Charhouse - Bloomingdale Ratings and Reviews
dinner specials were overpriced. Dinner salad wad nothing but lettuce and 1 cherry tomato. The broccoli soup was good. The main course sea bass with egg wash was worst fish I've had at a restaurant in years. It was small piece of fish encased in what was basically a fried egg. It had no taste. side of spinach came with too much butter.
There are too many alternatives restaurants in the area to go back to Jameson's. We chose it for this meal because it was convenient to work.
This location is hanging by a thread. Not clean. The window blinds are about to fall off.
Food was mediocre. Not up to the standards that Jameson's set in the past. The piece of steak with the steak and shrimp could not have been dryer (or smaller). I had ordered medium rare and what mI got was cooked way to well. We have crossed this place off our list.
The venue was clean, service was good, food was mediocre and certainly not worth the price on the menu. I had a filet and crab cake meal with asparagus and twice baked potato. Ordered the steak medium, it was correctly cooked on one side and cooked to well done on the other side. The asparagus was very large and not at all tender. The twice baked potato was overcooked to the point it was brown and brittle on the outside with only a small amount of edible material in the very center.
We had a reservation for 7:30 and didn’t get seated until 7:50 but there is a nice, large waiting area to stand in so it wasn’t too bad. Our server was friendly and our food arrived promptly. The food quality is just ok but you do get both soup and salad with the meal.
Understaffed for NY Day. Very slow service, although server did her best. Sea bass was not the way I asked it to be prepared, although server placed the order correctly. Sent it back and it was much better, but still was prepared with lots of butter when I specified no butter. Steaks were so so.
The food was very good our server was NOT she seemed like she was new was not paying attention to our table to clear plates etc.
Did not tell us her name I had to ask
One of my friends ordered and half slab of ribs they brought her a full slab
Did not ask if we wanted dessert I asked for a menu
We have always had a good experience at Jamison’s. However not this time. It was New Year’s Eve and we waited 30 minutes to be seated despite our reservation. Then the service was slow. The food was also not as good as usual. The fish and filet were both not very tasty.
We made a reservation two months in advance for New Year’s eve. We arrived in a 630 reservation and they were already out of prime rib. They change their menu for New Year’s Eve as well and reduced it immensely we had lobster in it was an edible we mentioned it to the manager and he just apologized the butter that was used was in the oil butter not real butter very disappointing and we will not ever return.
A great place for dinner. Affordable, most meals include soup and salad as well as bread-and-butter. Usually I have the porterhouse steak which is exceptionally affordable compared to most steakhouses. This time I had prime rib and it was a good. My wife had the rib steak and it was amazing. Charred perfectly and unjust as requested medium rare.
Our server was exceptionally attentive considering it was a very busy early New Year's Eve dinner.
The Bloomingdale location is very convenient for us as well as the one on 75th St.
Went on New Years Eve for mid afternoon lunch. There was heavy ice five feet from entrance and slipped and fell, hurting my leg, hip, elbow head and hand. I bleed in all these area. The management didn't even help or offer to get me help. I used the restroom to clean up a little and shared my concerns to the management at the desk. He indicated where the ice was, he was correct but didn't seem to care about anyones safety nor did he rope the area off. We left without eating and I'm still hurting.
