Lovely evening with gorgeous food.could have been improved only be james martin being there. Gutted I missed him by a day signing books.overall excellent evening

What a fantastic restaurant the service and friendly staff was excellent the food was outstanding and couldnt fault a thing. Would defiantly go back again and again. A great anniversary meal thank you to all the staff for making it very special.

Having looked forward to this event following a gift of a restaurant voucher we booked the table as a group of 4. The pre meal cocktail menu was only provided when we asked for it and cocktails were ordered at the same time as the meal. Cocktails arrived closely followed by our starters . Service was rushed for the first 2 courses and then became very slow thereafter. Our steaks were very poor in terms of quality and cooking. Medium rare was very rare. Yes we could have sent them back if the waiting staff checked on our meals when we were eating them rather than asking us as soon as the food arrived and before we tasted it! venison was good but very small portion. A very disappointing experience. Atmosphere was not what we expected and restaurant is open to the live entertainment that was taking place in the adjacent bar. We would not be able to recommend to others on the basis of our experience. We have had better steaks, service and atmosphere from more common restaurant chains at much lower prices.

James Martins restaurant is not only one of the most outstanding restaurants offering quality and tasty food in Manchester but has some of the best and attentive service you can ask for. The atmosphere is instantly relaxing with plenty of space so no Feeling like your joining another table. The food is top quality, seasonal and treated with respect the flavours balanced exciting. The service is personable and friendly knowing when and when not to be around. A personal thankyou to Casper during our birthday visit. Whether you want a romantic dinner for two or a birthday get together this is a must for anyone for any occasion.

My husband and I have been fans of James Martin for several years, but have never eaten at one of his restaurants, until now, and I can honestly say it was worth the wait, and every penny spent. We were there celebrating my husbands birthday, for which we were presented with 2 x glass of Prosecco and a signed birthday card from James and the staff. The staff were brilliant, friendly and efficient. The food,as expected, was divine, and worth every penny spent. (which was less than I thought it would be). Overall, we enjoyed every minute, and will certainly be back. Thankyou James and staff

Amazing food, amazing service. Cannot praise enough. The staff were excellent. Great night. We even got a birthday card a glass of Prosecco!

The food was excellent, well cooked and looked fabulous. They asked if we had a special occasion to celebrate (we did) and also if we had dietary requirements (we did I'm gluten free). My husband got a card & we got a glass of prosecco each, nice touch. Service was great, very friendly and attentive but it was really quiet so lacking in atmosphere. I also don't like it being in a casino, makes it feel a bit seedy somehow. No children allowed, which is great if that's what you want. My husband unfortunately had a bad cold so couldn't taste his food but if we are in Manchester we would go again but try an evening next time.

Casper was our waiter and looked after us perfectly. We were a group of six celebrating two 70th birthdays and the glass of prosecco for the birthday girls was a lovely touch. The food was fab, delicious and try the sides, beetroot was yum! Only slight drawback was in the bread pudding, little small on the portion size, however sticky toffee was ample. We will be back and I never eat somewhere I don't enjoy more than once! Even my dad who is known to moan about something didn't have a complaint! 😁😁 Thanks!
