We don't normally repeat visits to restaurants in Vegas each year when we return because there are just too many new ones to try, but the exception this year was Jaleo. The food is great and the atmosphere is lovely.
While the restaurant was trendy and energetic it was difficult to hold a conversation. The seating was extremely uncomfortable. The food had a lot of oil, but was tasty.
What a great meal, excellent wine the choices we made really built to a perfect finish. We started with the Pan de cristal con tomate and had some Manchego cheese with it. Then moved on to the Crispy calamares with squid ink alioli, followed by the shrimp with garlic. Then finally Grilled Merino lamb with rosemary sauce and honey alioli.
It was totally awesome, split between two people. The wait staff was great, the timing of everything was perfect, not rushed, not waiting, really well done. We did have to have a little desert which just capped things off perfectly Pan con chocolate, which is a chocolate custard and brioche ice cream (just a little of each).
It was all fantastic I would go back in a heartbeat!
Wonderful food. Service great. Went back to following night and was similarly impressed.
Came for a Birthday celebration. The champagne in the beginning was a nice touch. Also she the waiter brought the dessert, he wished the person “Happy Birthday” The tasting menu that we got was filling. Enjoyed the steak that they brought out. Was not found of the Manzana con hinojo but that may be due to preference. Over all great service. Would come back here again to try their regular menus. Cost is $$
Fabulous good! Everything was amazing. Like to come here when coming to Vegas.
Wonderful, original food prepared deliciously. Only complaint is background music is loud and with a strong drum beat for most songs (be better if it was soft melodic music). Service is impeccable.
It was great food you just have to order a whole lot to feel satisfied. In no way is that a dig at what's going on at Jaleo, however. It's elevated, simple and crave worthy; a must return kind of restaurant.
We are so grateful to chef Andres for the work we have read he's done in Puerto Rico. So it was great to eat in his restaurant, and the food was wonderful. Best green beans I have ever had.
Over hyped and over priced. Food was not bad but not great
I would have appreciated it if someone had explained the small serving sizes when we were given our menus instead of waiting for the waiter to be astonished at how little food we were ordering.
Food was as good as in the flagship DC restaurant. Service was fantastic. Loved it
The food is to die for! The service was very good. The ambiance is noisy and not romantic at all if that’s what you’re looking for. We’ll definitely be back for the food!
Jaleo was fine but underwhelming. I had expected more from it when I booked it, but again it turned out to just be another overpriced, slightly underwhelming Vegas restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the location in the Cosmopolitan is great, but otherwise the food was fine but not remarkable and in terms of cost, it was hugely overpriced. I spend $250 for some tapas for 2, a gin and tonic each and a low end bottle of wine
Waiter screwed up 4 of 5 orders. Wait staff seemed overwhelmed.
I was invited for a business dinner and we had the tasting menu with the wine pairings. It was outstanding! The food came promptly but we were not rushed, the servers explained what we were eating and we enjoyed every single dish. The bread, the goat cheese with fig preserves, the paella, the sausage and fava beans - the chicken, the grilled steak, the desserts - just fantastic! I was back for lunch with other business associates the following day and the plates were just as amazing; they understood we were pressed for time and the 10 of us were served quickly. Everything was just perfect. Thank you so much for these meals.
I absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing especially the pollo al ajillo, so much so that we ordered a second serving. The drinks very intriguing and tasty. The staff was very helping and friendly, they keep everything relaxed and we never felt rushed. It was my boyfriends birthday and they gave us this amazing sorbet with a candle which made the experience that much more delightful!
Second time to Jaleo and another great meal. The setting can be loud, but the food is the hero here. Simple, mostly authentic food, made great because of the great ingredients. I had the tasting menu and loved the chance to nibble on about 12 dishes. The paella and meat dish at the end were too much for me, which was a pity.
The service and ambiance were lovely, but the food was underwhelming. Each dish we tried was missing something...either underseasoned (apple and manchego cheese salad was missing sweetness) or overseasoned (paella de Gambas was too salty) or over cooked (the shrimp was over cooked in the paella) or missing texture (the patatas bravas were soggy and did not have crunch) or slightly too rare (mini iberico pork burgers).
The only dish I would truly recommend was the chorizo casero, which was well balanced, well cooked and extremely delicious. Also, the red sangria was a standout.
Everything about this place is spectacular.
My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary and wanted to support Chef Andres because his humanitarian efforts in Puerto Rico. Every aspect of our Jaleo experience was superior. The service was top-notch and the food was impeccable. We had a great time and would highly recommend Jaleo to any and everyone who reads this.
Awesome food and value for the meal. Great setting amazing wine list. Great modern take on classic Spanish tapas. One of the best meals I’ve ever had.
WOW! it was everything I expected. Have been waiting to try one of his restaurants. The Paella - so interesting, smoked/cooked over an open fire.
Everything we order was excellent.
Great service by our waitstaff.
What a great experience! I have dined at your location in Washington DC and love it. This is my first time at the location in Las Vegas and had a friend with me who is new to Jaleo. Great service, food, and atmosphere. I highly recommend!
My new favorite restaurant in Las Vegas! Very good food with great presentation, helpful waiters to guide you if you are not familiar with spanish food
The best part of eating at this restaurant was watching the ladies make fresh tacos! the food was a disappointment! drinks were ok.... way overpriced for the quality of the food.
Honestly, this place was super disappointing. The portions are extremely (EXTREMELY) small. I have been to many tapas places but this takes it to a whole other level. The portions ruin your overall experience.
If you are interested in great paella this is the place to go. Watch your food prepared on a huge charcoal grill in authetic paella pans. Great service. Our waiter Nelson was helpful in making suggestions for a perfect meal. Fun atmosphere with interesting and tasty menue items.
Spectacular food; seating like a bar
Wonderful dinner! They were able to accommodate a difficult allergy on all but one dish wanted- a rarity and so incredibly appreciated. Plus food was amazing which is the most important part.
Had the tasting menu with wine pairings. Some outstanding dishes, some misses. The grilled octopus, Iberico pork and pork "steak' were highlights as was the dessert. Chicken Paella was a disappointment and lacked the depth of flavor that is the hallmark of this dish. 12 courses were a great value for the $95 price tag. You will not be shorted on quality nor quantity of food. To those who complain about "too much food," eat less.
Service was poor, at best. The worst pacing I've ever had with a tasting menu! Dishes came out at a disjointed pace -- 3 dishes at a time, then a long wait, then another dish followed by another before I've finished the dish in front of me. Very poor effort in explaining what the dishes were comprised of -- ingredients, sourcing, techniques, etc. Absolutely zero explanation of any of the wine pairings. No somm, no primary waiter. Just a bunch of "runners" who were not qualified to serve at a high-end establishment.
Though the service was terrible, I would still recommend the tasting menu for the breadth of dishes one gets to experience. I will not return, however. Too many other options in Vegas.
nice one！lunch set menu was great！
Everything was fabulous! Food, drinks, service - all wonderful. My favorite thing was perhaps the simplest: the toasted bread with tomato! Will definitely return.
Place is top notch, ambiance is great, service is second to none.
I definitely recommend it and come back anytime.
Awesome evening at Jaleo! Service was great and food even better!! We would definitely try again!
We were there for a date on our last day in Vegas, perfect place, perfect food, we took the tasting menu with the wine pairing, the spicy margarita is a must, everything worth the price! We will defenitely return next time.
This was my third time eating at Jaleo and I was kind of left regretting not going somewhere else. It was very busy, still great service though. The only thing is I ate better meals than this there and hope it was a fluke this time around.
Fun atmosphere and super delicious tapas. Not cheap!
We decided on this restaurant because I had read that the paella was fantastic. We did have two different types of paellas, the chicken and the vegetable. They were delicious, however upon asking the waiter for suggestions of other plates on the menu, we ended the evening trying 10 different types of plates between four of us. Each was better than the last. Will definitely return When in Vegas and plan on going to Washington DC for its restaurant there.
