Excellent service, great food & the 3-course specials are the way to go. (Truffle mac-n-cheese is incredible, and tri-colore salad nicely done.) A must-try in PS.
This is mine and my Husbands favorite restaurant in Palm Springs we just love the food and service. Keep up the great work!!
Excellent restaurant with amazing food. The Halibut special was to die for. As do the cakes and desserts. Simply a must not miss venue when visiting Palm Springs. Great staff who were very attentive and friendly. Don’t hesitate to visit here you will not be disappointed 🤗
Excellent experience. Hostess, servers & serving assistant were amazing. Cocktails delicious. Food, fabulous.
A must visit in PS! The food and service are impeccable and the feel of the place is very comfortable!
Great experience from start to finish. Great food including an enormous slice of cake!!
The service wasn’t as good as in previous visits and it felt like the restaurant was in a downturn in terms of ambiance, professionalism of the staff and overall vibe.
Had a lovely 3-course meal here on my birthday trip to Palm Springs. Shared a table on the front patio with hubby and dog. The service was very attentive. The crab-topped salmon special and meatloaf with truffle mac 'n cheese were delicious as was the pink negroni cocktail and the huge slice of espresso chocolate cake for dessert.
Beautiful outdoor patio. The menu will encourage you to try clean eating. Great salad and Jumbo Carrot cake. Coachella was happening so there was a 15 minute wait.
We always love Jakes
We enjoyed very satisfying dinners and wonderful table service. The hostess was not pleasant and unaccommodating. We were seated at a patio table in the line of foot traffic and there were several available tables. We asked for an alternate table and the hostess responded by saying the other tables were for parties of three and our party was for two. As we looked around the restaurant, there were other parties of two seated at tables for three or four.
Best food ever!
The food was great, the ambiance was wonderful. The seating is partially outside and it was just so cute! Food was wonderful, and even the House wines were great. The servers were very considerate but the service itself was very slow. It took us over an hour to get our meals.
once again we attened for dinner with a freind from out of town and we had an amazing table on the patio , very beautiful setting , the had the gem salad which is like the best ceasar salad ever and the meatloaf with truffle mac and cheese and then the amazing coconut cake !!! what can i say , one of the TOP restuarants in the valley .
The food is okay, the service is better, and the desserts are the 1/3 of the size they used to be!
Waited at the bar for our table and the bartender was a lot of fun and recommended great wine. Food was outstanding as well as our servers. Could not have had a better "last night in Palm Springs" experience
Every time I’m down for a visit I make sure to come to Jake’s. This last time was not good. My mom and I were seated at a crummy table in the very back of the patio. We weren’t greeted by a server for quite some time. When he finally came over he took our drink and lunch order at the same time. We were checked in on once and that was it. Just a disappointing experience this time around.
Delicious food and they take reservations for large groups. The brunch menu had something for everyone. SAVE ROOM FOR THE CAKE!!!
The restaurant was very warm and uncomfortable. Tables way to close together. The lamb appetizer was boring and just tasted like grease. The filet demi-glaze tasted oddly like cinnamon - not at all what the menu description was. Service was uneven. Actual waitress was not very good but the hovering busboy helped make up for her lack of concern for us.
Sat on patio and had debris falling on us all night. It was a little breezy.
Service was okay. Bus boys were great at keep waters and table clean. Waitress was not all that.
Food was very good. If I was to go back it would definitely be because of the food.
Eggs were a little dry and not a lot of flavor. Soft shell crab very good. Cakes were amazing. Great service. Great ambience.
Great cocktails and desserts. Entrees are hit and miss. Stay away from prix fix choices.
All good with one glaring exception...the time it took for our food to arrive- even after we told our server we had show tix, there was a huge delay. Not her fault-we realize this she was quite charming. Kitchen is where we pay blame.
The food and ambiance is, as always, very good. The service was terrible. We went for lunch and had a reservation for 1:30. We arrived on time but waited for a table for about 10 minutes even though the table we were eventually seated at was available when we entered. Once seated we got our menu rapidly but then waited for our drinks, a bloody mary and a herbal lemonade for about 20 minutes and after ordering we waited about 25 minutes to be served. Fortunately we had no other plans for the afternoon. The server told us they make the food per area of the dining room not when ordered. My wife had a fish sandwich and I had a Reuben sandwich. These do not take a long time to fix and plate. Go back? Think not. Many other good places to choose from including one across the street.
We went there for a Friday lunch very busy. Had Very good service and excellent food. Even though they were very busy -with a line up we never felt rushed. One of my favourites in Palm Springs
We had a great time, great food and had to come back a second time. Check out the Sea Bass,
it is fantastic
Love the restaurant, hated the heat!!
Really loved the ambience here, except it was so hot so we requested an inside table. Well, it was inside... right inside the setting sun and windows open, no AC on. Eating anything hot for dinner was miserable. Having a drink in that heat is not fun!
If it gets above a certain temperature, they should have a place for people to eat comfortably, or warn them it will be hot inside, as well as out.
Jake’s is always fabulous!
Always great. Make sure you save room for deserts.
We always have a great experience at Jake's. Friendly service, wonderfully prepared food, and a nice outdoor setting.
Great food, nice staff, and nice ambiance
Food was below average and the service is not great.
Inventive cuisine. Great space and service. And the desserts....👍
We’ve had lunch and dinner at Jakes, but I prefer lunch. Outside on a beautiful day... it’s perfect.
The food was terrible. The so called waiter could care less that he dumped a dirty knife all over the front of my shirt. I never go back
Loved the rack of lamb with grilled asparagus and fingerling potatoes (but potatoes overdone and chewy)— my husband loved the cioppino so much he wanted to take it home but we were on vacation and no place to put it. Service impeccable!! I understand this is a landmark fixture in Palm Springs so kudos to carrying on a tradition of excellence!!
Celebrating with my with on our baby moon and we had an awesome date night out at jakes! Our server was great, food was excellent, and desert was divine.
Our favorite Palm Springs restaurant, especially for lunch.
Jake's is where you want to be for brunch in Palm Springs. A solid menu of great brunch options. The steak and egg sandwich was delicious. A wide variety of bloody Marys to be had, the dill-infused vodka Bloody Mary was awesome. Lively place with a wait, make a reservation if you want to sit quickly!
Great neighborhood restaurant in downtown P.S. Make sure to make a reservation for weekend night dining well in advance during season right now.
We booked for 8pm and indicated in the comment section that we wanted to sit on the patio. The restaurant called to say they couldn’t seat us on the patio at 8pm but could at 7:30pm. We agreed and changed our plans. At 7:30, there were two open tables on the patio, they sat us at the one in the way back, in the corner, by the storage closet and hallway to the kitchen/bathroom. The other table remained empty. A little before 8pm, the patio cleared out. At 8pm, most of the patio tables were open. At 8:15, most of the patio tables were open. By 8:30pm, 2-3 patio table were still open, and we were still by the storage closet. On to the food: we ordered a crab cake, it came out cold in the middle, we brought this to our server’s attention, they tried to fix it, but the second crab cake they gave us was luke-warm in the middle. Then they brought us a single roll each around 50 minutes after we sat down. From there, the food was good. Very disappointing experience though as I read this was a top place to eat on an LA blog.
