It was a bit noisy!!! But we loved the amuse bouche! Felt we had plenty of attention from staff.
Always excellent. Love taking my guests here because they always rave about it.
Love that the owner always makes the rounds to make sure his diners re happy.
Loved our first time dining at this restaurant. Los Angeles quality in Palm Springs. The ambience is nice, food is good & the menu is varied. There's a whole bakery of desserts. Cakes are 3 layers tall! Try to save room. If not, take a slice home. That's what we did.
I liked the details such as the chef sending tasty bites to our table before and after dinner. I think that shows they care about the dining experience of their customers.
The drink menu was inventive and if you can handle a little bit of heat with your sweet, try the Spicy Watermelon Cosmo.
Birthday celebration in the best location ever!!
We always have a wonderful experience at Jake’s and love our server Lola!!!
New menu items were excellent, portions just right, cooked to perfection
Had a wonderful dinner at Jake's. The service was great and we enjoyed both the food and wine!
Great meals for all five of us! Cordial staff and they took us pretty much on time.
Our first time here and now we will def go back. Hubby had the petite filet and wedge salad. He always opts for a ribeye, but was looking for something smaller. This fit the bill perfectly. He loved it! I had the filet with garlic mashed potatoes and veg. All were perfect. Wait staff was super friendly. A gem of a find.
We were excited to try this restaurant. We were a party of 3 crammed into a table for 2. Tables were so tight and when asked to change tables we were told no options even though there were open tables. We left after appetizers. We wish we had the opportunity to finish our dinner as the food looked good. but we were just too uncomfortable.
Great food once again. The sea bass and the black and blue filet were both exceptional. I always enjoy the huge desert cakes, although the chocolate cake was a bit dry.
The service was just average this trip. The waiter disappeared for long periods of time. It took quite a while to order desert. I think the prices are about what you would expect from a restaurant like this.
AS USUAL VERY GOOD , THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SPOTS IN PALM SPRINGS ....AND DESERTS ?? CAKES ...AMMMMAAAZZZZIIINNNNGGGG
Heaven on Earth
This charming bistro-sized restaurant is the best Palm Springs has to offer, especially for the price. I took a friend there for her birthday. She had the Veracruz Red Snapper and I had Jake’s steak and wedge salad. For dessert we shared berry pie and carrot cake. We had a fantastic meal and a really wonderful time.
Had a very elegant/casual dinner here on a Saturday night. Food was great and so was service.
While we were sitting at the table the bus boy cleaned our table with rag and never moved anything
Food is good although they never change their menu except for some specials. The service is decent but the servers are chilly and the hostess was borderline rude.
Fabulous outdoor seating with plenty of heaters. Lively but still romantic. Attentive staff. Fun cocktails! Found this place last year while on vacation , and came back this year . Not disappointed. Food excellent and with a deep list of selections. Will be back again !
My husband and I enjoyed this place. When we got our waters, there was tiny pieces of food and a hair in my cup. I think this happened because they place the cups on the table as part of the presentation upon arrival to the table so maybe things got in it before the water was poured? I asked for a new cup of water. The new cup had lipstick around the rim so I gave up asking and was afraid to request another and then be scared something worse might happen after being a “bother” for a second time so I drank out of my husbands cup for the rest of the time. We both got the Jacks Egg Sandwich and it was amazing. It’s hard to eat like a sandwich until you eat some of the egg out of it but the egg is amazing. The side salad that came with it was very refreshing and citrus-y but pairs perfect with the sandwich. We had the “princess cake” after which had marzipan and raspberry purée inside and it was insanely good. The portion of the cake was massive and plenty for two. We sat outside in the patio area and it was shaded perfectly.
My only negatives: The latin club music was kind of obnoxious for a early lunch haha but it wasn’t super loud. A group of six cackling girls who were pretty inconsiderate to the rest of the people on the patio having private conversations were sat right next to us. I think that was maybe a distracting part to the experience. Also the tables are pretty close quarters so you can hear others conversations. the water experience was a little unfortunate.
Jake's is a popular Palm Springs bistro-like restaurant with an innovative lunch menu. I particularly enjoyed an Italian sausage Reuben sandwich. Our server was friendly & helpful when asked for recommendations. Be sure to finish your meal with a giant piece of one of their cakes on display inside. One piece is large enough for two or more. We took our piece home. We look forward to returning to Jake's!
Lovely place to dine. We are never disappointed with our meal, service and ambiance. We make sure we eat at Jakes every time we come to Palm Springs.
Another go-to place if I can get a reservation
We love Jakes...just love it....have been going there for the 5 years we have been in the desert...
A local go to.
Great food. Very fresh. Quick service.
Hard to get good table because so popular.
First time. Great food. Great drinks. Good spot for brunch with family or friends, date, or just everyday dining. You gotta try it. Will be back!
We enjoyed Sunday brunch at Jake's. The food, ambiance and service were excellent. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Palm Springs.
I always make it a point to stop in at Jakes whenever I am in Palm Springs. The food is fantastic and the outdoor courtyard is great for dates or just getting together with family and friends. If you haven't been to Jakes you don't know Palm Springs.
Maybe it’s because we are used to restaurants in Portland - but this experience was just ordinary - meh!
It was a busy night - and we enjoyed the scene but only one of our four meals was considered good. For the other three people - we would have preferred to stay home.
Everything was fantastic with some exception:
1. We were just a bit late & I figured a 15 minute grace period and hostess (blonde, young lady) wasn’t very pleasant. We were just in time, I did not receive a text but when they called me to confirm they should have mentioned it to me then. Not by a text message. It all worked out but she could have been more pleasant.
2. Pork chops wasn’t to my boyfriend’s father liking but WOW you guys took care of it and he was very pleased.
OVERALL: Service by Jerry was awesome! Enjoyed our drinks, meals...from appetizers, entrees and desserts were DELICIOUS! I can’t wait till our next visit!
As always, eating at Jake’s is a great experience.
The servers are not only efficient and friendly, but
very nice to look at.
The food is always great. Some new wonderful things
on the menu. And since it was so great, we decided to
have dessert. Try the “Hostess” cupcake. YUMMY
We eat hear at least once a week when in Palm Springs.
Have noticed this time around, it being quite popular.
Wonderful! The staff was so nice and the food was delicious.
The special lobster tail in curry sauce was spectacular!
A great place for a delicious meal and don't forget dessert! definitely worth a visit.
Great evening, food was outstanding & service was excellent.
Can't wait to return.
It is always friendly. A happy experience and if you add the greatest friends of in Palm Springs. Please don’t miss this restaurant
Great service, reasonable prices, consistently good food and atmosphere. We will be going to Jake’s more often on our next visit.
Really enjoy this restaurant! Food is delicious. Fun atmosphere. Good service.
Great food and cocktails, cute outdoor patio and nice service. Would definitely recommend.
Had seen several positive reviews on the pork chop so I gave it a try. While others may have been amazing, mine was pretty much a "pork chop" a bit overdone for my liking but the flavor was good. I (and perhaps naively) was expecting a much thicker cut chop as well. Vegetables and potatoes were a nice addition.
Everything was wonderful as it always is!
