Jake’s is one of our favorite places and we have dined there since they first opened over 30 years ago. Tonight we were celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious and the service incredible as usual. Absolutely love Jake’s!

Steak and eggs for breakfast was PERFECT. Steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare, breakfast potatoes were seasoned deliciously and poached egg was amazing. 10/10, highly recommend.

Thank you for being open during the pandemic. We had a lovely late lunch on Thanksgiving. Alex was our server and he was attentive and helpful. Food could have been a little warmer, but the atmosphere is always sublime. My prime rib was extremely yummy(little fat)! Thanks again for making our Turkey day special.

Our waiter Jessie was rude. They poured the wrong wine in my husband’s glass but didn’t offer to rectify it. It was an unpleasant meal because of the service. I ordered a shrimp skewer with my steak and they gave me two small shrimps. This used ti be my favorite restaurant when I lived in San Diego. My best friend’s uncle owns the restaurant so I will be passing the same message through her.
Excellent restaurant/bar on the beach - excellent service and great food. Limited choices during pandemic but still good selection. Salmon is A+ as is the Key lime cheesecake.

We came for my birthday and as usual had a fabulous meal! There’s seafood pot is to die for. They seem to be doing Covid right - though I was a little nervous because it’s not entirely outdoors - just all windows opened on patio for air flow . Even brought Hula pie for my birthday .
Always a wonderful experience from the moment you walk in until you regrettably have to leave. We had stuck with cocktails and small plates for this visit: calamari, grilled prawns, short ribs and candied walnut apple mixed salad. All tasted great. Can’t wait for our next visit.
Jake’s is a stunning location on the sand in Del Mar. With the OpenTable reservation we got a window seat right on the sand. The food and drinks were delicious!! AJ was an outstanding server and we thoroughly enjoyed our special occasion. Highly recommend!!!
