Jake's Burger Ratings and Reviews
We received a friendly greeting & seated right away towards the tail end of happy hour. It took a long time for our server to stop over so when he did, I missed out on the happy hour price for my beer. Due to the long wait, we ordered our meals right away with drinks. We also asked for 2 waters however they did not come until we reminded the server to bring them.
Jakes Burger has really amazing burgers & salads. The options of toppings you can choose for each is outstanding. They are also very accommodating to my allergy needs. They have a rewards/loyalty card that earns points each visit which also is a plus. I recommend jakes burger for lunch or dinner!
Unimpressed. Burgers were dry and overcooked and one was missing toppings. Server never checked on us after food arrived and there was only one other table being used. Left comment with Jake's facebook page. Contacted me next day and asked when it happened. I responded and no more contact from mgr/owner.
Food is good,
Service is good as well,
For the type of food (Burgers, bar food) it is overpriced.
The menu is only alacart.
There are a lot of places within 5 miles of Jake's that you can get a burger that is just as good for about 30% less.
My wife and I had no drinks, a burger and the water chestnut appetizer and our bill was $60, for $30 a person you can get a really good steak dinner.
Given this, the meal was really good and fresh .... just not priced competitively.
If it was priced right we would return.
The food was amazing. The service however, lacked a little. It was obvious to me that they had no interest in taking care of just one person at a table. Maybe service would have been better if I sat at the bar. I'll definitely give them another try. Prices were a little on the high side, but for what you get, you can justify it.
First time there. Were there early and the bathrooms were filthy which made us look critically at the rest of the restaurant and wonder how clean the kitchen was. Service was only so-so. Also expensive - when you consider that you are just eating a burger with a couple beers. We won't be back and that was the consensus of the whole table.
I love Jake's for their food. Burgers are amazing and they have grass fed beef and gluten free option for the bun. Good selection of beer, wine and few cocktails to try. One thing I didn't like last time we've been there is service. The girl that was serving our food was to fast. I had impression that she want us to leave asap, even if we were only guests there. She brought us a check even if we didn't ask for it. I was ready to order one more drink. It was hard to understand what she was saying...Like she didn't care at all. Burgers were delicious and other than that one time service was usually good.
It was my first time there, but my husband had been there and wanted me to try it.We had a reservation for 6:15.....we didn't get seated until 6:45. The server mentioned that they were understaffed, but still not an excuse since a table came in after us with a later reservation and was seated before us. I ordered my burger with no bun because I have to eat gluten free. Fortunately the server told me that there was soy sauce in the burger which made me HAVE to pay $4 more to get different meat. (I wanted beef, not turkey). I ordered my burger rare and it came out medium well. It was dry and tasteless. I couldn't get his attention since he never came back to our table until we were finished so I just ate it. They offer gluten free buns and even use potato starch on their fries so why in the world would they not have some burgers without soy sauce instead of making me pay so much extra $$ for a higher grade of meat...which was awful. I do even wonder if they used the other meat since I had a killer migraine later in the night and wheat is my trigger. Unfortunately I was very disappointed!! The server was ok, but the rest was bad. The only reason I gave the food 2 stars was because my daughter liked hers. Maybe if the burger was cooked to order it would have been more juicy and had more flavor, but who knows.
The server was nice and responsive which is always appreciated! I ordered the cali burger with special sauce on the side. I'm glad I did because it was kids me of like thousand island, which I'm now t terribly fond of. I asked the waiter for a side of a different dressing and he brought it out quickly. I felt like the burger was a bit bland. The other two in my group both ordered the Wisconsin burgers. The burgers don't automatically come with fries, so it bumps up the price. The sweet potatoes fries were pretty good. Worth a stop but not likely to come back.
