Met some friends for dinner. Everything about the evening was perfect! Absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
Horribly high prices for the quality of the food. $42.00 steak was tough and flavorless. The butter was flavorless and when we inquired about it we were told by the manager that they use non salted butter for their cooking so that is also what they put on the tables for the bread. It would only take them a few minutes to sprinkle some coarse salt on their butter for the tables, but even after putting our own salt on it, it still did not taste like butter. The barbecue ribs were dry and had not been cut apart into separate ribs, and it was difficult to try to cut them as the rack of ribs kept sliding around on the dinner plate while we attempted to cut them. The blue cheese dressing was also flavorless and tasted more like ranch dressing.
Waited an hour for our food, when it got to the table my steak was cold.
Great food. Very crowded, so server was really hustling. We will be back!
Great place in Billings for a get together. Excellent service from the wait staff.
Very good dinner! Steak was cooked perfectly! Service was great! Would definitely recommend to everyone!
Service was great food was good and hot, glasses never got empty. Steak that I had had a tasty rub on it but the meat itself had no flavor at all. But other wise it is a really nice place to go.
Well restaurant was great but our service was bad. The waiter even brought me the wrong food and undercooked. And she seemed to be bother by us. I wanted to be nice and don’t say a thing but for how much we spend she should being better and she didn’t even said her name. All I know that she’s a curly hair woman with tan skin I was really excited cuz everyone tells me that’s a great restaurant and I’m really disappointed that our first time was like that.
Service was very slow. Had three steaks, all over cooked from what was ordered. Big expense for slow service and feeling rushed. Quality food but an over cooked filet is inexcusable. Normally would have returned it, but service was so slow and I was too damned hungry.
Another great meal at Jake’s! We had a delightful server named Jenn that was on top of all our orders. We had perfect timing between appetizers, soup/salad, dinner and then dessert. Extremely knowledgeable on wine selections and suggestions for side dishes. Perfect post Valentine Day dinner.
Great food and service
Good food, friendly, but not worth. The atmosphere was acceptable, food was delivered timely, the expense just doesn't match the product by any means.
Food is always good and the staff is attentive and friendly
Our waitress was phenomenal. She was very prompt and professional. She gave us time to ourselves but she was also there even/if we needed her. Will definitely come back for a special occasion again!
Another great meal at Jakes! We tried the baseball cut sirloin and it was cooked perfectly. Pumpkin creme brûlée was my pick for dessert. Very good!!
The service was very slow, for not being a busy afternoon. But the food was great!
Fantastic as always. Always try to have dinner there when in town. Have never had a dinner there that wasn't the best. The whole family enjoyed it. Will definitely be back.
I live in the Midwest, small town America. The prices at Jake's are very expressive. Steak cuts are good but on the small side for weight. My date was vegetarian so choices where limited to 2 options. Not a great experience, but not the worst.
We have used this location a number of times to meet friends and share a good meal and enjoy company. The server Callie (sp) was very professional and a treat to work with. the food everything form steaks to chicken fingers was also well received especially the crab dip appetizer. Your restaurant presents a great place to meet, talk, and enjoy a night out.
Nice place. Casual to sophisticated crowd. Food was creatively cooked and delicious. Service was precise and to our liking. As the evening progressed the noise level rose, however because of carpeting on the floors, it wasn’t so as to not be able to converse. Well done, Jake’s.
Other than the fact that my crab legs disappeared when they boxed up my left overs it was a good Restaurant
As good as we expected -- very fair pricing.
Monday Wine Bottle Special - really good!
Crowded and lively, but with a very efficient and professional so reservation and meal when smoothly.
We were greeted with a smile. The staff made us feel very welcome. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. It did not take long to determine that the food was very well prepared and delicious. It was definitely worth the drive.
Good food, good atmosphere, and easy to get to. Very enjoyable experience.
This was a vacation stop and came recommended by tour guide and walkable from hotel. Food was good but it was on the noisy side. But all in all a good experience.
Friendly staff. We were surprised to fine it not very busy on a Saturday noon. We did have a fairly quiet spot, as requested, as we are all older, and some are hard-of-hearing. Good service. There was one "miscommunication" according to the waiter, but my meal was brought out within about 5 minutes of those of the others, and since I was still eating my salad, it was not a big deal.
We always have a good meal at Jake's, but this time the food was exceptional. It was a week night so it was quiet. Our server was attentive.
Good, but fairly safe. If you are looking for a good steak, this is the place for you. The service was very good.
Probably the fifth time I've been to this restaurant. Only once(and it wasn't this time) was the service of the caliber one would expect. Usually service is slow and lackadaisical, it was only a little slow this time but the impatient attitude more than made up for it. My parents are older, it was their anniversary and making them feel bad about not being able to hear well in such a noisy restaurant didn't go over well with me. At least this time the steak was good. However, the deserts we took home weren't. The chocolate cake tasted stale/freezer burned.
If there were someplace else in Billings that was supposed to be good we would definitely go there instead, but according to Trip Advisor this is supposed to be the best restaurant; the rest have sketchy reviews. I keep hoping that next time I visit my parents there will be someplace else to go.
Good meals. Had Korean noodle salad which was interesting. Others had the Ruben half of which was lunch the next day. Service was attentive. Will be back
The food is good, but due to the price it is fair for the price.
I requested that something be done by the staff for a retirement dinner. At first I had requested a cake but was told by the receptionist Jakes did not prepare special cakes. I was ok with this and the receptionist explained they could surprise the person being honored with a small piece of flourless chocolate cake with a candle. This never happened and it was obvious this special surprise was never communicated to the rest of the staff. I was very disappointed.
My wife and I went there for our 22nd Wedding Anniversary. Had a wonderfully pleasant evening!
Took over 25 minutes for manager to open wine cabinet
We had a good server, but everything was slow
This place was recommended to us by a local and it has the BEST food and appetizers! The flavors are unique, which gives Jake's a huge edge over any steak place we've ever eaten at. It's hard to decide what to eat, because everything is truly phenomenal!!!!
We were extremely disappointed based on a high recommendation. We found the food less than par, either over spiced or lacking taste. Our waitress not pleasant when someone was unhappy with the food. We really expected a steak house to be far better.
i ordered prime rib and it wasn't as tender as i expected. i would not order that again but would order a steak. Had to wait a bit too long to seat for my reservation
The service was fantastic. Pork shank was tender and just melted in your mouth. Cream brûlée...yum!
We went while we had a quick overnight in Billings. Food is always good, and generous portions. Bit noisy this time due to Rodeo being in town, but it was very tolerable.
