Food was good, service was excellent, the manager or owner was on site which always makes a huge difference. We asked for and were given a quiet table away from the crowd. It was my birthday and we were given a huge dessert to share, compliments of the house. All in all, a very pleasant and satisfying experience. Thank you.

Less pleasant than normal. In the past we have didn’t have to ask for bread, this time we did. In the past they’ve asked if we are celebrating anything and got a free dessert, this time weren’t asked even though I put it on my reservation. Also my salad was drenched in dressing, like soup in bottom of salad bowl.

This is currently our favorite restaurant. Great quality, great service, and consistent. Try the spinach dip, it is the BEST! I tend to go between the prime rib, the pork shank, and the lemon chicken. And don’t skip dessert!!

Got seated immediately. Very clean perfect table and setting. Outstanding shrimp appetizer. French onion soup always a good choice. Excellent salmon. Very large baked potato cooked right. Jake's is one of the classier restaurants in town, so if you're looking for something a little more upscale it's the perfect place to go for nice dates, anniversaries or other special occasions. While I understand this is a steakhouse in a beef city, and The offerings here are quite good, a few more non-red meat offerings would be nice.

The French onion soup is always good. The sirloin special was tough. The walleye special was pretty good, but overpriced. Chicken ala king was good but could only eat half-hot tired of it. The brussel sprout appetizer was wonderful. The wine special at $20 a bottle was great.

We ate at Jakes last year and it was excellent. This time the food was ery disappointing. I ordered pasta with shrimp and it was lacking in taste. My wife ordered the prime rib medium rare, and it came out very rare. She sent it back and it came back well done and dry. Also, the water tasted like bleach.

Jake’s had us smiling at the door with a sincere welcome. Our server, Hailey, was friendly and knowledgeable. The rib eye and Atlantic Salmon were prepared exactly as we requested (medium rare) and sides well prepared. Dessert and after dinner drinks did not disappoint.

Yelp lists this place at $$. Surprise, surprise. I thought I was back in New York because the prices where totally East Coast. $45 for a six ounce filet mignon discouraged me from trying it. So the other steak choices were out of the question. Too bad I was looking for a steak and a better value.
