This establishment has two sides. The Jake’s side and the Cooper side. The Jake’s side seems to be more low key and upscale/formal. The Cooper side is less formal. SERVICE Our server was excellent (consistent with the other reviews I saw). The host was amazing also. He was very kind. DRINKS The Night Light Lite Lager was delicious. I would go back just for the beer. My coworker ordered the rum punch. She really enjoyed it. ATMOSPHERE This place is located right on Main St. You can’t miss it. The noise level was as expected for a Friday which was great. The place is clean, well polished, intimate, and cozy. Great for a date or hangout. The bathrooms are clean (one bathroom for men and another for women) with one stall each). FOOD The food was okay. We ordered the salmon and the prime rib. Between both dishes, we enjoyed the prime rib the most. PARKING On street parking is available if you can find it. Be careful parking in this area. The street signage for parking can be a bit confusing so be careful. The parking authority in the area are very prompt and will leave a token of appreciation on your windshield (a parking ticket). There are several nearby parking lots that may work better. Download the ParkMobile app and thank me later.

Excellent experience. The dining room was beautiful. Service was attentive and friendly, but neither overly so. Typical noise level hard to ascertain since the crowd was small; our experience was great. The crabcake was quite good, though less than great if Maryland crabcakes provide the standard. Mixed green salad with shrimp was excellent though some might prefer larger shrimp (but that would justify a higher price and we thought the shrimp were fine and perfectly grilled). An enjoyable evening.

Haven't Been In Years, But Have Rediscovered Jake's & Cooper's! Jake's used to be a regular stop for me years ago for casual meals and Happy Hours. Coopers used to be my traditional New Year's Eve stop. They used to operate as separate restaurants until they merged the operation a few years ago. My Go To there were the oysters, but they've dropped them from the menu. No worries! I had the Marinated Olives appetizer and the Skirt Steak entree. Skirt isn't my favorite cut, but J & C did it perfectly medium rare and the flavor and tenderness were just right. Cooper's is the casual bar side. Jake's is a little more formal. Same kitchen, same quality in both. Definitely worth a visit!

We were a table of four. Everything eas delicious. The two men felt the portion of short ribs could have been a little bigger, but otherwise everyone was happy with their selections of food and beverage. Our waitress was awesome.

I've been to Jakes/Cooper many times through the years. Yesterday, the four of us returned for the first time since pre-pandemic. The food was excellent. Of note were the crab cakes, hamburgers (small or large), salmon belly, and porfiderolls. Our waiter, Charles, was most accommodating!

This place exceeded our expectations! We sat on Jake’s side with the Wine Wall and it was such a peaceful and perfect ambiance for a date night. The rosé flights were delightful and generous and our server was incredible too. The ice cream taco is a must! We’ll definitely be back.

The bread appetizer is great and I'd even go as far as ordering it for takeout. John Carlo was a top shelf server as was Ed, who expoed for JC. The food was average to below average. We had a kids pizza, that was OK, tuna tartare--OK, hamburger--OK, and liver, below average, tough and tasteless (I know it's liver but I like it). You can check out my reviews; I am not overly critical but I would def not recommend Jake's and Cooper's if you want a good meal.

We used to come to this restaurant years ago when it was just Jakes and then also when Coopers opened. Hadn’t been in years. The food was good but we were shocked at the overall appearance of the restaurant. Dilapidated and in dire need of TLC. Paint, and new upholstery at the minimum. It looks as if no one cares about it.

The short rib pizza and espresso martini was superb? Our waiter as well as the host ere very accommodating to our party of 10 people. I will definitely return and enjoy the outdoor music and free wine tasting taht we also had the pleasure of experiencing.

I organized a dinner for 12 to celebrate my 50th birthday. We had several tables along the back booth in Cooper's put together to accommodate our large group. The service and wait staff were outstanding! They offered us a complimentary champagne/ginger ale toast for us as well as a beautifully garnished dessert with candle. We couldn't have been happier. I'll gladly bring a large group back for a celeberation.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday. The owner and wait staff made it very special. They brought over profiteroles with a candle and sang, which we arranged ahead of time. The profiteroles were fabulous. We also shared the seafood stack appetizer which was great. My husband had the hangar steak and carrots which were prepared perfectly. I had the wood fired pizza with spicy meatballs which was tasty and a good size so I had the rest for lunch today. The wine flights were fun. We had a great time and I highly recommend this restaurant to others. We will be back and bring friends.

While the food was very good as usual, the service was not up to par for these reasons: Our server barely came over to our table. When she brought the wrong wine (she brought white when I ordered red), she tried to argue with me that the wine I ordered was a white. She went as far as to bring back a menu, to show me, only to realize that I did indeed order red wine. She did admit she made a mistake. We were sitting next to the bar, and we saw her stomp back to the bar and dump the glass of white wine. Most servers would have just left it, especially given the way she made such a fuss over what she initially thought was my mistake, yet realized it was her own. Then later she asked us if we wanted more wine, and we said no. Yet she mistakenly brought another glass of red wine. When we told her we did not order it, she again, brought it back to the bar and dumped it. I supposed it is better than had she poured it back in the bottle, or worse, gave it to another customer, but again, she should have just left it. Even though I mentioned we were celebrating my husband's birthday, no special attention was given. Yet the next table received complimentary champagne and a round of a happy birthday chorus. When I pointed it out, our server did give us the same, but we had to wait for it, and seemed annoyed to have to do so. The owner refused to honor our Open Table rewards, said he was not aware of how it worked. When Open Table spoke with him the next day and explained, I then offered to come in to have my payment cancelled and reissued on my credit card with the $10 reward, he refused. Luckily, Open Table rolled back the reward and put the points back into my account. The owner made it a point to say we made our reservation on the wrong day, and that we never showed him the rewards certificate with the correct date. We absolutely did show the certificate with the correct date. We won't return. Just 3 in our party yet 20% gratuity was included.

I will never return here. The food was mediocre and the service is atrocious. Food took FOREVER, and the servers were rude and inattentive. There are so many other great restaurants in Manayunk…don’t waste money or time at this one.

Sat outside, dirty table, wasn’t wiped down. General slow service and bartenders not skilled at craft drinks. Food is okay…..nothing special. I understand it is a challenge to hire people but when you automatically add a 20% gratuity and the service is slow, food is average, drinks are basic and the cleanliness of the tables and outdoor area is all average at best it frustrates me as a customer. I always tip well but when it is automatically added it seems as though the staff doesn’t work as hard to earn it……management too.
