Our server was ok. Didn’t check on us very often could have been spread thin. A manager began reprimanding a new employee directly behind us. We were so embarrassed for the employee that my husband asked them to move the conversation to a private area. The manager did come to apologize to us later. The food was delicious though.
Slow service. Had to send 2 cocktails back to bartender to re-make. Very good food preparation.
We were staying at the hotel and assumed that Jake’s, the hotels restaurant, would be great. We were wrong. The service staff was fine but the food was shockingly bad. My daughter ordered kid’s spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were mushy and smelled/tasted terrible. I had the steak flatbread pizza with meat that looked like/tasted like slices of steakums. My husband’s fish pita sandwich was a large chunk of deep fried fish sitting on a mini pita which was not at all the way it was described in the menu. But the worst was that out of four glasses of water, one of the glasses had water that was like drinking sea water. It was salty and smelled awful and was clearly unlike the others. We were disappointed by our meal and it really put us off from wanting to eat at any of the hotel restaurants.
Dined after the parks mid week. Restaurant was busy, but not overly crowded. Overall, food was decent , but the bar service was very slow. We received our first drink after our appetizer was served. Our waiter was very apologetic and comped the drinks, but it negatively impacted our experience.
Outstanding service and tasty food. Great drink bar.
Great food! Great drinks that actually had alcohol in them. And great service.
*My only complaint is that the music was not that great. I mean the guy went from doing a great cover of Bob Marley to a cover of Teenage Dream by Katy Perry. It was awful.
I would highly recommend Jake's if you can get an outdoor table. The atmosphere is lovely-- kind of tropical and peaceful. I made a reservation on Open Table weeks in advance and all that was available was 5 pm. But on the day of I was able to change it to basically anytime I wanted. It really wasn't busy. I got a fish dish, and it was delicious.
Great food and service , kids loved it. Menu to suit all tastes, they answered questions regarding an allergy quickly. Good value for the quality and quantity of food.
It was ok. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Service was fine. I probably wouldn’t go back.
The food was great and the wait staff was attentive and friendly
The crawfish chowder is wonderful. Nice bar/restaurant to grab a bite before or after Universal. Great find, fast friendly service. Make a reservation during busy times.
We had reservations for 6pm. We got there about 5 minutes early and they actually made us wait until 6 to seat us, the place was empty! The service was so slow even though it was not busy during the time we were there. The food was good and cooked as ordered. Overall the experience was ok.
The service was slow, the food was bad food, and I didn’t get the veggie that I ordered. When I informed the staff, I was brought raw veggies. No Dr Pepper...BIG miss.
Food was okay...drinks were awful. Unfortunately they don’t know how to make any mixed drinks. Stick with beer if you dining there. Food was okay.
Great service but still a resort place with limited menu option
The Short rib is amazing and a huge portion. ...Best I’ve ever had. The Grits are delicious. I’d drive an hour to eat here.
Small portions, large prices
Good service, food was decent for a resort hotel. Nothing to write home about, but it was pleasant enough.
Nice location at Loew's Pacific Resort in Orlando.
We had an issue with one of our 3 meals but they were more than gracious about trying to give it to us for nothing, but since we had eaten part of it we only accepted a partial credit!! Everything else was Great along with the service!!!
Jake's was a pleasant surprise, better than I expected it to be. The restaurant and staff make you feel very welcome; it is an easygoing, relaxing atmosphere. I love the fans. The food was delicious. I ordered too much, and after eating the buffalo wings, chowder, and salad, I was stuffed and couldn't eat my sandwich, so I boxed it, put it in the suitcase, and took it all the way home with me to New Jersey, where I ate it, and it still tasted good, ten hours after ordering it. The air conditioning was perfect, not too cold. Jake's and Mythos were my two favorite dining experiences on the trip. My only complaint, our waitress asked us when we would like each item to come out, and we said we wanted the buffalo wings first, then the soup, but both were served to us at the same time.
Lovely food and great service, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Very limited menu after 11:00 p.m. Trying to eat just after 11:00 - no accommodation made at all. Take it or leave it. Second bad experience. Ate there only because it was late at hotel and no other restaurant open. Very expensive for quality of food. Had eaten here another night and had he artichoke and spinach. The artichokes were clearly out of a jar an the whole flatbread pizza had a very vinegary taste. After two bites, I was sick of it, but continued to eat it. Poor value.
Ribeye was fatty but good flavor and Sea Bass was overcooked but overall was good but there are better options at the parks
Best burger! Amazing double IPA !!
Food was incredible. Delicious burgers - beat those served in the Universal parks by a mile. Portions were a great size. Our 10 & 13 year old children ordered from the kids menu and these were big enough for them.
Cupcake dessert was huge....enough to share or take home for a treat the next day.
Volcano cocktail was flaming good too.
Service was great. We'd booked through the OpenTable link and only waited 2 or 3 minutes to be seated. Assistant Manager introduced himself to us. Even waited whilst we'd finished discussing the rules of the card game as he didn't want to interrupt.
Great for a late night dinner after the parks. Easy and on site for Lowes Royal Pacific Resort. Would return again. We had two different salads and kids pizza.
We ate here exhausted after spending the day in the park and it was so good we came back the next night as well!
Was a horrible experience. From the poorly made drinks to the not fresh food. Would never go there again.
Nothing exceptional. Decent food in a large area. Friendly staff.
The service was wonderful and probably the only enjoyable thing about our experience. $18 for a burger that is only smaller than a quarter pounder is not what I call getting my monies worth. Being a resort hotel restaurant prices are expected to be high, but usually there is excellent flavor and uniqueness that makes it worth it. Not the case. Also $20 for half of the worlds smallest chicken, not ideal. The chicken while moist was bland. And for pancetta mac and cheese, I'd expect it to be cheesey, flavorful, and filled with bits of pancetta. The noodles were mostly dry, and had very little meat to it. Again, amazing service, friendly and attentive. But spend your money elsewhere.
We ate on the patio and the setting was tropical and lush. Seemed too noisy inside, but not beyond the norm for a place near Universal Studios. Erwin was a superb server. Gteat personality and very efficient.
Fabulous meal!! We had a wonderful server in a quiet and beautiful environment. Treasure (Maria) made great recommendations for the meal and was great to chat with.
We waited for a solid 10 minutes before a server that was not even ours came over and took our drink order because I'm sure he could see how annoyed I was!
My daughter ordered spaghetti with no sauce and somehow it tasted burned....my turkey burger was dry and had way to much seasoning and overpriced is an understatement! $12.00 for a kids meal? I could buy 12 boxes of pasta for what they charged. Overall very disappointed and will not eat here again during this vacation.....
We had a beer at the bar and the bartender was very friendly. They seated us at a nice table and we both enjoyed our meals. The server was very attentive and also friendly. It was a very enjoyable experience.
We were looking for quieter place for dinner rather than Citiwalk at Universal. Loved the atmosphere. We were promptly seated. My husband ordered cheeseburger with salad and was very good. I ordered the shrimp risotto. It was beautifully prepared. It was so salty. I tried adding pepper to offset it. I had to add some of my water to dish. I probably should have sent it back, Manager did come around and asked about our meals. She immediately went to kitchen and told our server. She did provide us with dessert coffees. I would return to restaurant.
Every meal was so good!!
Casual place where we all liked our food very well! Would eat there again. Pizza just ok, apparently dry?, but adults all liked risotto and burger. Salad with chicken just ok, was precooked chicken.
The place has a casual atmosphere, and much better than typical bar food. The pretzel sticks, burger, salads, dessert were all really great. Service was good and friendly. Cocktails could have been better and it was a little hard to find the place, but overall we enjoyed it and I'd recommend it.
We had the crawfish chowder and loaded meat pizza. Both were very good. The service, however, could have been better. It was early, so they weren't busy, and it took almost 10 minutes before anyone came to the table. We almost left.
