We had the village salad and baked fish (halibut) which was cooked to Perfection and nicely presented. Finished with a perfect flaky baklava. Delicious. The portions were large enough that we shared the meal. The restaurant is upstairs and no elevator. Recommend reservations as the wait can be long. Bottom line we'll be back
Amazing Greek food very lively and beautiful porch area! Servers were great and gave us free Greek liquor at the end of our meal!
What a fun restaurant! I live out of state, but always make it a point to eat at Jake and Telly's when I'm in the area. I introduced my family for the first time and they are still talking about how delicious the food was (the leftovers were even better the next day) and how much they enjoyed their experience. The service was excellent! We were well attended to and didn't feel rushed to finish our conversation well after we were done eating. Truly, this place is a gem. Totally authentic in every way, you simply won't be disappointed. BTW - The fisherman's stew...amazing! Thank you, Jake and Telly's, for another wonderful meal shared with family! I'm already looking forward to the next time I'm in CO!
My daughter and I were visiting Colorado Springs and Jake and Telly's was recommended To Us by a local store owner. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was great, and we felt the price was very reasonable.
We love J&T- our waitress was the best ever
But the food was less than its usual deliciousness!
Our pita bread was so warm and yummy, but main courses really lacked their usual tasty flavor, and the grilled chicken on our salad literally tasted like rubber.
We love this place but have to be honest on this review.
Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was great. I would definitely eat here again and recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty, well portioned meal. The only drawback was the noise level on the night we visited but that was mainly due to a large birthday celebration so was probably not normal.
Interesting venue. Upstairs, so ADA is an issue which they somehow resolve via a phone call. I suspect there's a private elevator, but it would be good to ask. Nice balcony overlooking the Old Colorado main street. Don't know much about Greek food, but have driven by this place for 30 years and finally tried it. Not busy on a Monday evening, but looks like a great place for a weekend gathering. Thought it was pricey for what we got, but lamb is pricey most everywhere. Excellent service.
My family was visiting from out of state and I wanted to take them somewhere unique and comfortable. I had eaten here once before and enjoyed it. My family loved it! Large portions, great service, friendly people, delicious food. It was a perfect representation of what Colorado has to offer. Can't wait to go back!
My fiance and I decided to go to Jake and Telly's for a nice dinner. We love Mediterranean food and thought this venue would be perfect to fulfill those cravings. As we walked in, the hostess greeted us by my first name. We noticed there was a wine event, but it didn't bother us at all that there was a large group enjoying wine and food! She sat us somewhere quiet, which we did appreciate. We were greeted immediately by the waitress. She was super fun and spunky! We had the Mezéthes (Mixed plate). Nice portions for an appetizer and the meatballs were tender and had a nice blend of flavors. I had the Sólomos (Pan seared Scottish salmon) with lemon dill caper beurre blanc served with herbed rice sautéed spinach! Salmon was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Jake and Telly's and I will be back for dessert and drinks!
My wife is Greek and we had not been back to this restaurant for 10 years so we decided to give it a try again. We tried three apps: sampler plate, octopus and saganaki - all we good, nothing extraordinary. The mains (filet, crab cakes, lamb, meatballs and gyro platter) were good, the lamb being pretty tough.
It was pretty pedestrian dining experience. Adequate but not reminiscent of Athens.
Service was very good, found it a bit odd that the servers were having ouzo right along with the patrons.
Service was good. My wife was disappointed in the lamb shank. My dinner was fine.
Always love coming here. So nice to see familiar faces every time.
We went here on New Year’s Eve for dinner and everything was lovely! Our waiter was very polite even when he had to tell us he kitchen was closing and we needed to order soon. They also served us free champagne!
Great food and service. We had several substitution requests and everything was done perfectly.
Got the wedge salad and Fisherman's Stew. OMG was it good. Potatoes and carrots in a tomato base, with loads of fish, shrimp, mussels & scallops. Portion was enough for another meal the next day. Received a complementary taste of Uzo, which was interesting.
We love Jake and Telly's . Tonight my husband and I decided to try new items off their menu. Just more proof that Jake and Telly's has amazing food. It's definitely one of our favorites.
They do Greek right! Very authentic! It’s a fun place and they are very friendly! Great location if you want to go for a walk on the town before or after you eat!
One of, if not the best Mediterranean restaurant I've ever been to.
The staff was very attentive and the food as usual was great! We also like have lunch at Jake & Telly's as well. A winner with my large groups.
Have been there a few times and enjoy it. The food has been hit or miss. Great one night then average the next. Overall good fun vibe though and a nice change from the chain restaurants for an evening out
Love Jake and Telly's and visit most every time we come to Colorado. Always great food and service.
Awesome as usual!
Incredibly friendly and the food was delicious! Waitresses and owner stopped by to check on us and the squash curry was delicious
Very nice. Salad was nice and fresh. The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly and the best salad was out of this world. Service was great prices very reasonable
We were in Colorado Springs for just a couple of days. This restaurant was recommended on several sites so we decided to try it. The restaurant clearly met our expectations. We had a Mediterranean chicken with tomato and capers that was fantastic. The humus was delicious as was the Greek salad. We had coffee crepe brûlée for dessert and it was excellent. We will definitely return.
Great amazing food! Everyone there made you feel like family!
Dependable Gree-American food. Friendly staff. Tzaziki is delicious.
Extensive menu with lots of great Greek options. Great service, fun food. Would definitely come again when in the area.
Great food and specials. Complimentary warm pita bread was excellent. I had a rib eye steak special that was amazing and my date had the chicken kabobs which were excellent. The service was very attentive. The blueberry bread pudding for dessert was also excellent and complimentary for my dates bday. Ended dinner with complimentary Ouzo shots. Very fun evening.
Great food in the heart in Old Colorado City. Atmosphere was great! Food even better! A little on the pricy side but the food is well worth it and the complimentary pita bread is always welcome.
Great food. Cool atmosphere and location. Reservations are a must.
The staff was friendly and attentive. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied and well taken care of without suffocating us. Food was excellent. We ate outside and it was delightful.
Great service and a tasty meal at a good price. Couldn’t ask for more than that! Highly recommend this place.
Food was good but overpriced. Upcharge on wine was V high. Waitress was very kind & likeable.
Jake and Telly's is an extremely well done wine cellar that just happens to do Greek as well! Excellent pairings and I have yet to taste anything off the menu that isn't just GOOD. Their Baklava at the end is near perfection.
I love Greek food!! I was visiting Colorado Springs for business and looked to Open Table for a good local restaurant and found Jake and Telly's. Ends up, these guys are from Philly and so am I! GO EAGLES!!! I had some lamb kabobs and they were very tasty. The service was excellent. The food was great. And the outside tables were very nice. I recommend you try this place. You won't regret it!!!
A bit loud for a business engagement but otherwise excellent. The food and service was 10/10.
Some of the very best authentic Greek food available in Colorado. The place is cozy and charming. Excellent service
It was great food and service. Everyone was real nice. I recommend to any one looking for great Greek food. If we make it back to Come springs we will go again.
Food was solid, but not exceptional. Food prep and presentation didn't seem nearly as ambitious as prices, for certain. Service was very good, including changing out a dish with which one guest at our table wasn't happy. Nice little spot, though.
