Jake and Telly's Greek Taverna
They soon noticed that many of their customers were enjoying the Greek specials they were offering over the standard American-style menu items and thus began the transition from a bar and grill to the only full-service Greek restaurant in Colorado Springs.
A few years into the business, Telly and Jake became interested in carrying a better variety of Greek wines and began educating themselves about wine and food pairings in general.

Service was great, very attentive to the table needs
Great food. Good feeling and ambience. Definetly recommend.
Always consistently great food, very good service and a fantastic experience every time!
Love this place!
Most of the food tasted good but it really wasn't worth the cost. My dish was very salty and my husband's dish was small. Overall we had an ok experience.
Great food great service, drinks were average price. My wife's chocolate martini was not very good. But the rest of the meal was amazing!!
We went to Jake & Telly's for Valentines Day. Was disappointed that we couldn't get reservations in several other places. But we really enjoyed Jake & Telly's. The food was outstanding and the service was great. The place is a little on the noisy side. But overall we were glad we went to Jake and Telly's.
Restaurant was way understaffed for Valentines Day. Waiter had to make cocktails and you could tell. Waiter forgot our appetizer and when we asked where it was he admitted he forgot. We then asked not to bring our entree’s until we finished the delayed appetizer. They were brought out anyway. The manager comped is one dessert to share but it didn’t change the poor experience.
Every time we are in Colorado Springs we try to visit Jake and Telly’s. The best Greek food along the front range. Excellent food, wine and service.
The food was not great. The service was poor. We will not be back
Always have an excellent dining experience here!
Amazing as usual. Never had a bad meal at Jake & Telly’s! Best was dessert- baklava cheesecake yum!
Great food and service. Very loud. Was hard to talk to the people at my table
Food was great! Service, unfortunately, was not good. After we were seated, we got water right away. We asked for shots & were told that she get our server for us. Waited approximately 20 minutes with no one acknowledging us. We asked the bartender to get our server & finally saw one within a few minutes. Ordered cocktails & shots and an appetizer plate. Got our cocktails. Then about 10 minutes later got the appetizers, no shots. Asked about them & server had forgotten...... this would be understandable if they were super busy, but they were not even half full. Disappointing service, but again, food was great!! We would still go back.
We ordered the Argentinian steak, dolmades, and the giro platter and all of it was very delicious. The steak was lean and cooked perfectly. We would go there again in a heart beat.
We decided to visit Jake and Telly's on a night when there was a snow storm so there were only three tables occupied by others. The beet and spinach salad was outstanding. The greek avgolemono soup was excellent. The baked snapper special was very good as were the accompanied sides. I would have preferred the soup being served before the snapper and not with the snapper but that was my fault not requesting the server serve the soup first. Given the few patrons in the restaurant, I would have thought the food preparation might have gone more quickly. Overall, our visit was very enjoyable, especially the complimentary Ouzo at the end of the dinner, and we certainly will be returning.
Beyond terrible food. Probably some of the worst Greek we’ve ever had. The gyros wasn’t gyros. It was thick and weird. Crumbled feta for feta and olive plate. Octopus chewy and over cooked. And food, party of 7 was absolutely cold. Except for the kid’s burger. The restaurant was empty so not sure why. It’s also took forever to come out. Again, not sure why whole tables’ food was cold. Finally, way overpriced!!
Good food, great service.
This place always hits the mark. The patio can’t be beat.
Jake and Telly’s creates a unique dining experience with a wonderful outside, second- story dining veranda. The food and service were exceptional. I am vegan, and I ate so well! I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent dining experience in Old Colorado City.
Food and service good as always. Wish they would clean up the out door eating area. Needs refreshing
The restaurant was once a great place to go. (2013) every experience I have had sense then has been less than desirable. The food was bland and porly cooked. I have no problems dropping 100+ dollars on an anniversary dinner. What we got was not worth a quarter of what we paid. Service was good, but that did not make up for the noise level and poor food.
One of the worst meals I have had in years. If it wasn't for the very nice waitress I would have walked out of the place. Lentil soup like a kid made it, hummus horrible, leg of lamb?? from where? Arbys.... I could go on but I won't. Do not eat here.
Excellent food and service; recommend the arni kebab and gyros
We had a great dinner. The food was flavor-able and prepared well. Our server was on top of it and attentive but let us talk and talk for a couple hours. Really enjoyed it. First time for both of us and will definitely be back. Highly recommend it.
Lamb chops were awesome but Argentinian steak was chewy and dry.
Was very good except for the noise
Always a great meal with equally great service at Jake and Telly’s! I almost hesitate to praise it too much, or the word will get out and it will be too crowded to get a table! For now, just make a reservation and sit outside if the weather is nice — perfection!
Loved sitting on the patio is a must on a beautiful evening!!
This was our first visit . it was Delicious. we will defiantly tell people about this place
Delicious, as always!
We had a fabulous meal — my husband had the fisherman’s soup, I had the salmon, and we shared a vegetable appetizer (which was large enough for a meal!) with warm pita bread — everything was perfect!! The service was excellent and the overall atmosphere and the music added to a wonderful evening. We saw many items on the menu that we would like to try — we’re already planning to come back soon. Great restaurant, great food, great staff!!
Always a fun time. Remember to save “room” for the free ouzo shots after your meal!
Haven't been here since 2011 and things have changed....for the worse.
Visited for a birthday and again you guys didn’t disappoint! Servers were attentive, appetizers were wonderful, and our meals came out perfect! Our celebration was perfect at Jake and Telly’s! See you again soon!
We were a party of 8 eating here for the first time. Very good food and great service!
I had been there before, and it is a wonderful restaurant. When you get to meet Jake, he really makes you feel as if you're family. I don't go out too often, but when I do decide to go out, its one of the first places on my mind. If guests are visiting, and I don't know what type of specialized place they like prefer (Mexican food, Cajun, seafood, etc.), I take them to Jake and Telly's because one can never go wrong in that decision. The food is great, the service is wonderful, the dessert is awesome.
Absolutely outstanding. Possibly the best Greek meal I've ever had (and that's saying something). Service was fast, the waiters were attentive, and the food was close to perfection.
Great food. We were all very impressed with the dishes we ordered. Highly recommend!!
Don't miss the calamari!
