View Private Dining DetailsExcellent food and service. The staff was very accommodating in helping us plan our 50th wedding anniversary celebration and dinner for 35 family members and friends. We have always been pleased with our dining experiences at Jag's.
Great food and service
We enjoyed our first visit to Jag's for Restaurant week. The food was great and we especially enjoyed the live music . We plan to try Happy Hour for our next visit.
Our food was amazing and the staff was completely professional and sincere. We will definitely be coming back soon!
Restaurant week-second time to Jags. Absolutely delicious and we asked for Hillary again and echoed talking did and I ingredients used.
We have tried other upscale restaurants, but for all our special occasions or just a night out, they are the best. Chef never seems to surprise, the Roasted Chicken should be on the permanent menu. We have never been disappointed so this has been our go to Restaurant since they opened.
We wanted to try the Restaurant Week menu. The food was ok. I liked the grilled vegetables came with me scallops. Scallops was good but the pasta underneath was just plain taste. And I have to mention a small flying insect was in our bread basket and there was a dead one on our table 😓. It totally killed the experience..
Since I've never been to Jag's, decided to go for restaurant week. I found the dining room atmosphere somewhat boring/stuffy, without much ambiance. The crust of the rye bread was too salty. The first course appetizer I chose was a huge mistake -- fresh ricotta and spring pea bruschetta (just plain weird and rather tasteless). My grilled filet mignon tasted too salty. The whipped potatoes and asparagus were good. The chocolate torte was also good. Our server was excellent. OVERALL...would never go back due to high prices and just average food and atmosphere.
Great meals. You will not be disappointed. Very nice atmosphere. Great bar area and happy hour.
Outstanding experience! We were there for restaurant week and were not dissappointed
Restaurant week choices were incredible. Food and service was so good we booked a return on Thursday for dinner.
We went for restaurant week and our server was just fantastic! I was less than impressed with some our food, but when you order off a special event menu, sometimes you end up with stuff you don't like/appreciate. Overall though Jag's is a great place with good food - and you should totally try their piano bar!
Lovely atmosphere, great place to enjoy delicious dinner while catching up with friends. Having the fireplace going on a chilly spring night made for cozy, comfortable setting. Filet was perfection. Key lime cremebrulee light & yummy ending to superb meal.
Excellent place and service love it! The Sly band awesome! Next time will not be in band area or dance floor only because we couldn’t have conversation. Very crowded. But still had a great time, thank you.
Delicious food in an upscale environment. Impeccable service.
Best in the Westchester
The Wife an I both had the American kobe
outstanding!
Our service and food were excellent! We got the 99 surf and turf & the salad I wanted was not an option. Our waiter hooked us up & I was able to get the salad I wanted for no extra charge. Chop salad is so good. Also, I'm pregnant so I can't drink so I drank shirley temples & was charged as a regular drink & free refills! Definitely was happy. It was my husband's 30th birthday and he got cheesecake on the house. Thanks Jeff for a great evening!
Food and service were exceptional as always. I enjoy bringing clients to Jag and will continue to do so. Our server was excellent!
Portions were very generous. We ordered the crab bisque soup, scallop sushi roll, and the prix fix classics. We took food home...the cheesecake slice was huge and very delicious.
Went to Jag’s for my wife’s birthday.
It was a very busy Friday night. We arrived promptly at 6:59 for a 7:00 reservation and had to wait nine minutes for our table. I do not understand why that should happen. Service was a little slow although not horribly so. There was a very large and loud birthday party seated next to us which affected the ambience of our evening.
The food was very good but could have been served hotter. Both my crab bisque and filet were just warm. My wife said she could see our food sitting on a tray for several minutes before being served.
Our carrot cake for dessert was excellent.
Bottom line a very good but not outstanding meal.
A good option for a great steak without having to go downtown. A bit pricy though, especially the wine. The bar is great, we were there on a Saturday night, there was live piano early in the evening, followed by a 10+ pc band that was very good.
My wife and I both had the Oscar Filet. The food was fantastic as well as the service.
Cindy was our waitress. She was funny, polite, knew the menu, and treated us like we were regular patrons. I had the 10 oz filet mignon, while my bride ordered the New York. Both were cooked to perfection, so tender and tasted delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli were both larger servings than what we are accustomed to. We also had the Dragon Roll. I felt I was on the West Coast the fish was so fresh. We also had a few drinks in the bar. Paul and Dominic provided us with quick and tasty drinks. Jag's is a stellar restaurant, fit for entertaining customers, anniversaries, dates, or any special occasion.
I was soooo disappointed that the special
Occasion I had planned for my husband at Jags came up short today (and the cost was still over $215). I took my husband to Jags to celebrate his birthday because I knew this would make it special for him. He has always loved a great steak, an elegant environment and special service. Today, the experience was not good. The service was terrible - no one took our drink orders, we had to get up to ask for appetizers and then later the bill, we waited forever to put in our order and refills were slow. It felt like our waiter was deliberately avoiding making eye contact with us. Our reservation was at 7:15 and by 8:30, we still didn’t have our food. It was my husband’s birthday and I was hoping to order a cake/ dessert for him, but as he has to work at 4 am, I couldn’t wait any longer for the “special” treat. I counted on Jags to make this special and I came up short for my husband. I am so very sad.
Follow up - Jags just called and said they had had a tough night and offered a “re-do” of the birthday dinner; I had never had a bad night with them, so of course, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I hope Jags continues to be the fine dining experience in West Chester.
We had wonderful food and a great time celebrating my daughter's birthday.
Excellent as always. This is a favorite for my husband and I. We both really enjoy the atmosphere and the food. When it is coupled with excellent service you have the perfect trifecta.
Everything was wonderful! We all enjoyed our dining experience.
We both ordered prime rib, which they only offer for Easter Sunday Brunch. My wife's was OK. Mine was served medium well, not medium rare as ordered. But it was also cold (outside). They replaced it. The replacement was medium rare. But it was still cold on the outside. They took the price off our check. Good gesture, but it screwed up what was to have been a nice holiday brunch.
Ate there for Easter Brunch and it was beyond amazing. There were 8 of us and we each enjoyed our selections, even the children in our party. Highly recommend, and we will be back soon!
This was the first time we had dined here and we were immediately impressed with the atmosphere and quality of service. Our server was very attentive. We had the prime rib and it was excellent - cooked exactly as requested. The vegetables (broccoli and asparagus) were excellent and perfectly cooked. The only thing we were all disappointed in were the roasted potatoes and mashed potatoes - while they had a really good flavor - they all seemed to be previously cooked and then re-warmed for our plates. We finished up the meal with dessert and coffee and both were very good. Overall, we were happy with our meals, the service and atmosphere and will definitely be back.
Wonderful experience
Jeff was great and so was the food
Great food and service, I had the Black Truffle Filet which was to die for! I loved every bit of it and the risotto that came with was amazing. We ate in one of the main dining rooms, and decided to have an after-dinner drink and listened to the band in the bar. The band was great and very energetic great spot for cozy romantic dinner or a fun drink at the bar to listen to live music!
We went for my wife's 60th birthday. Since it's a bit pricy, we tend to go on special occasions such as this. The filet mignon was fantastic, as expected. Each food item was hot when served. The free dessert for my wife was much appreciated, too (creme brulee).
Great food and a good selection. It was quiet, and a great opportunity to have a relaxing, unrushed dinner with friends.
We absolutely loved our experience at Jags. From the very beginning, we were treated with courtesy and promptness. Our server was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. The piano bar was just the right amount of entertainment to keep it interesting. We will be returning in the future!
Excellent food and excellent service. Had the return to the restaurant to retrieve my credit card. Servers should present the credit card to the customer when they bring back the check to sign.
Absolutely amazing. Every bite was perfection. Wait staff were courteous, attentive and kind. Expensive, but worth it for the experience.
We love Jags we go for our anniversary, birthdays and date dates.
It was my mom’s birthday, and we had s wonderful experience. The chef sent out a complimentary dessert in honor of her birthday. In addition, we asked to be placed near a tv so we could watch March madness, and they placed us perfectly! Great job, Jags!!
