Family birthday dinner, food was great everyone was pleased with their order.
long time diners here, I did complain about the cigarette ashtray in the front door, I mentioned to the Manager (fist time I see this guy) about the State ordinance (20ft) and he looked at me at a very patronizing way and did nothing about it, you need to take the nasty ashtray away front your front door and discourage smokers from smoking on the front of the restaurant. only 15% of Americans smoke so your ashtray is not a good investment to discourage people like us from coming back. this was the second time I complained about the smoking at the front. otherwise we have loved your place for years
Days gone by, JAGS was one of my favorite restaurants. It has skidded downhill. We choose it to celebrate a special occasion but it was a disappointment.
Seating was in the bar, which was fine. The musician was wonderful. The drunks were old and annoying. The table was set-up and run like a chain restaurant and I left feeling completely underwhelmed. The food was good but not for the price. The wonderful mashed potatoes I so enjoyed on earlier visits were cold. The server was good but did not perform at the standard expected for the price; uniform sloppy, table unkempt, etc.
I will look to other area steakhouses in the future, JAGS has been crossed off my fine dining list.
Love this place, great food, great Bar and wonderful service!
Wonderful experience as always!!!
10 year wedding Anniversary! Great night out without kids
One of Cincinnati’s best places to eat, hear live music, smoke cigars while enjoying friends and family
Great food. Great service. Love the atmosphere
Dining on a Friday...take the fix menu...so worth it...it will be quite pricey if you order a la carte...filet mignon was perfectly cooked, crab bisque was smooth, silky and not too heavy, the salmon bruschetta was very refreshing ...very professional waitress and service was great
By far the best Steakhouse in Cincinnati
Both meals were excellent, from the crab bisque, right through the main course and dessert. I had the filet and scallops and my spouse had the halibut. Everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was attentive but not interruptive.
My steak was cooked perfectly & very tasty. My wife had salmon which was good, but she didn't care for the flavor of the accompanying rice, and the green beans weren't cooked enough, almost raw.
Overall a great meal & great evening out to celebrate our anniversary. Complimentary dessert to celebrate was a nice touch.
Nice place for a special occasion dinner.
Jag's really knows how to make a party feel special! The staff easily recommends the right amount of app's, and has great appreciation for how to make the "guest of honor" feel special.
Once again, Jag's hits it out of the park! We celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary with 4 other friends and it was a perfect evening! From the time we walked in the door, everything was outstanding. The food is always on point. The service is second to none! And the added bonus...the entertainment...Gee, Your Band Smells Terrific! Amazing evening! Thanks again Jag's for making it another memorable night!
Went to have dinner and see the band....both were superb!!!
Positively elegant. Superb service to match a superb menu selection and an environment to set the ideal dining atmosphere. Delightful.
Bob and Debbie.
The food was fantastic and our server Cheryl did a great job of taking care of us. We will definitely be going back. They made our Anniversary dinner very special and included a free dessert for us to split.
I went with my family and my mom and aunt got margaritas, it was the best margarita they had ever had. The dry aged steaks and bone in ribeyes were perfectly cooked. I would like the restaurant to be a little more lit, we had to use our cell phone flash lights to read the menu. I also am not a fan of crisp vegetables but over all it was a fantastic experience and I will be back. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. I believe her name was Paula. The crab bisque was also wonderful.
I’ve ate at Jags 4 or 5 times and it’s always been pretty good although it’s also always been overpriced compared to Ruby’s which is hands down a better restaurant and dining experience. I guess most of the problems this time centered around the service which was horrible! Our server belonged at a Steak and Shake. She first came to the table and asked if wanted drinks and we said we needed a minute and she didn’t come back for 10 minutes. Once she came back we were going to order appetizers but she started to walk away. We ordered Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters and King Crab legs. The Crab legs I only ordered because she said you get 2 crab legs ($30). Well you don’t get 2 you get one cut in half. Once we finished the apps she cleared the plates and didn’t come back to take our entree order for about 15 minutes. I ordered the Filet Oscar which was really good. My girlfriend ordered the Filet Salad and ordered it with blue cheese and dressing on the side. Her salad came out with Blue Cheese on it and no dressing at all. The salad was also crazy crazy small! At one point too we ordered another round of drinks and she brought mine out but not my girlfriends. We were there for 2 hours and spent around $200 on a meal that was far less than spectacular. I don’t think I’ll be going back after that.
Great atmosphere and music, attentive service, and absolutely delicious food.
Wonderful experience something different very nice and lovely evening!
Jag's is a wonderful place for a special occasion. They made Grandma feel very special on her 88th Birthday. Monica was our server, she did a great job. We really had a nice time. Thank you so much! We can't wait to come back. The remodel looks awesome.
I felt the price was high, especially for the vegetarian options.
I'll be honest, the food was not impressive, my filet was too salty as the same with my fiancé, disappointing, overall, the atmosphere was beautiful, a lot of business men having dinner, I was the only girl there during the week.
It was my wife’s birthday, it was our first time here but the food was great the staff was great as well. I know we’ll be coming back
Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. I chose this restaurant because i had heard that the food is excellent, but I also wanted entertainment... which there was a live band. The band was good and the crowd was very receptive. It was a very nice and fun atmosphere. I also chose Jags for the piano bar and cigar friendly patio. I bought my boyfriend an after dinner cigar and the patio was enclosed and heated with televisions. Was a very nice treat for him. Service was excellent as well. No complInts at all. I would very much recommend Jags!
Classic food with an inventive twist alongside new must- tries.
Attentive service with a relaxing ambiance.
Excellent food and service Good atmosphere. Excellent location
Excellent and consistent. Best steak place in Cincinnati. Many great choices for non steak lovers ( like my mate). Excellent seafood. Smell the coffee those downtown joint are good. This is better. From foodies who have been around. Ask if they will make their steak tartar. Not on the menu but they always make it for us, so far!
Very nice after we were moved to another table away from the 5 loud-mouthed men next to our first table. Server was really good. Food excellent.
Food was great and presented very well. It was quiet when we were there, but that may have been because it wasn not packed. Waitress very attentive.
Amazing. The food was delicious
I know they do it for everyone but they really made us feel special. Food, service, wine, cocktails... end to end a spectacular experience. Ate every piece of my 12 oz Strip that was accompanied by a crab cake that was 95% crab. We did the Friday Night Dinner for 2 $99? A steal! And live music afterwards in the lounge.
Everything was beautiful- lights, table set up, decor, etc. the music was phenomenal. Drinks, appetizers, and salads were absolutely delicious. The main course wasn’t as good as we thought it would be. My husband ordered a steak meal- it didn’t come out with the steak. I ordered bacon wrapped scallops- they came out undercooked and no bacon wrap. The rest of our food was cooked correctly and was very good. We will try it a second time before we decide not to come back again. Maybe it was an off night for them.
The food was delicious and our server was very nice
Fantastic experience for a business meal. Menu has many options to choose from. Food and service was wonderful.
Great steaks, done just right, with excellent serving staff. They really appreciate that you have joined them for dinner. Highly recommended.
the food and service were great, but the price seemed high
Best dinner my husband and I have had in a long time! The Boursin Berry salad is the best salad we have ever had. I would have been satisfied with that being my meal. I also had Crab Bisque and a 5oz Filet Mignon along with Chilean Sea Bass which was cooked to perfection. Our server was attentive and we really enjoyed the overall experience. Looking forward to going back soon!
Jag's is my favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. The cuisine is outstanding. Our sever, John pampered us! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
