Small room was quite cold. I asked for the main dining room and was seated in this small room.
Steak was disappointing in comparison to Jeff Ruby’s.
Service was good.
When I travel to the Cincinnati area for business, I always go to Jags. It’s been my go to restaurant for years and I’m never disappointed.
I love to eat in the bar area to enjoy the music. It’s never too loud to have great conversation in a less formal atmosphere.
I’ve always had a great dining experience and I recommend it highly!
Food was excellent as always. Service was the right mix of attention and privacy.
My favorite restaurant, the food is fabulous and I love watching the musician's
I was so disappointed with my entree ..my steak and vegetables were loaded with butter. It was overwhelming. I loved our server, friendly and energetic.
Your feedback is very important to us, and we will address your concerns with our kitchen to ensure your next visit is exemplary. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we hope you give us another chance.
The Cowboy Ribeye was a perfect medium rare and was delicious. My wife went meatless and loved the Portabella Napoleon for her main. The Maui Onion Soup is a must have.
First visit to Jags and we had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner, taking part in the prix fixe menu which was outstanding. Great value for the money and so much so that we also added the "wine pairing". The presentation and flavor of the food was outstanding and the service and management were just delightful! We will now consider Jag's one of our "special restaurants"!
We're thrilled you enjoyed your visit. It was a pleasure to serve you!
Fabulous meal, and fabulous service from Jeffrey!
For the meals to be so expensive our order should have been right. Our order was wrong and our meals we're rung up wrong so our bill was higher.
It was our 34th wedding anniversary my husband’s birthday and valentine day. We arrived early for our reservation and they seated us right away. The value was great, food was awesome and the service was A-1 our experience and wonderful . Thanks Jags
Food selection and taste was terrific! Very expensive but worth it on a special occasion. Only issue, I asked for medium well steak but it was medium rare...pretty pink...not happy with that
Great as usual
It was a nice experience. Our waiter was personable and very helpful, brought us extra bread when we asked. The food tasted great too. There were strange orchestral versions of late 2010 pop hits. I was confused. It’s also very dim in there.
Phenomenal as always!
Top notch food and service! We celebrate there every year.
This was Valentines Day. Busy— but service by Jennifer M was prompt, professional and courteous. Food great and noise level excellent. Highly recommend JAGS.
Best filet and Chilean Sea Bass ever!!!
Wonderful service... enjoyed the food.. had a great time
I ordered the sea bass and it was cooked perfectly. We sat in the bar area which was noisy, but we expected that. We enjoyed our dinners and definitely will return.
Excellent server and Pat the bartender was great and very personable.
Our bill was $1,800, for that kind of money I would expect exceptional food, it was not! Steaks lacked flavour, not done correctly, strip loin was thin/small hard to believe it was 12oz, mashed potatoes cold/hard. Apps and salad where good but hard to mess up shrimp cocktail, crab and oysters let alone a garden salad. Our entire party of 10 was not over the top with this place. There are some exceptional steak houses, Jeff Ruby's, Ruth Chris's, Hyde Park, to name a few, Jag's is not in their league. This is my 3rd visit and remains the same, very run of the mill, unfortunately this will be the last.
This was my first time dining at Jag's Steak & Seafood and it was wonderful. From the hostess desk, to the bar, and to the dining room we were treated like royalty. The meal was top notch and I highly recommend the Black Truffle Filet Mignon and the Triple Chocolate cake for dessert. The wait staff was quite literally the best I have ever seen. The glasses were never empty and empty dishes were removed quickly. Not to mention how knowledgeable, warm and kind they were to all of us dining that evening. Valet parking is offered for $4, but I did not use this service. I will next time though because the valet opened the door to the restaurant for me and kindly welcomed me to Jag's. It was chivalrous and a great start to my evening. I will definitely be going back as soon as possible.
Everything was great, food was worth the price!
Excellent service, food was prepared as ordered. Great selection. Will definitely return.
Overall a great time! Food, service, entertainment the whole package always great. Cannot wait till the next time.
Everyone in our party LOVED their food and the service was great. You hit a home run!!!
Amazing food and ambiance, wonderful special dinner place!
Celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday here. The mashed potatoes were the most bland I’ve ever had at any restaurant. The service was ok. Nothing to rave about. We were there for 2.5 hours. It was at least 1.5 hours before we got our entrees. The food presentation was beautiful. Our steaks were slightly undercooked but we prefer a little undercooked vs a little over cooked. The most shocking thing was that they charge $180 for a bottle of caymus. It’s less than $100 in stores. $120 at most restaurants that have it. Ended up with Louis martini Cab that’s around $25 in the store but paid $75, yes, $75 for that same bottle of wine with our meal. I understand markup but not that much. Overall it was a decent visit but overrated and overpriced for what you get in the end. We will probably stick with coopershawk, O’Charleys and Maggiano’s moving forward.

Jags is wonderful, but it's a bit pricey, so it's not our everyday choice. But, it comes thru as a Special Occasion place, every time!
Great food, ambiance and service. We went for our anniversary.
Great food and service.
Ordered the 6 oz filet. It was the worst steak we have ever had.
We have been coming to Jag’s for several years and their food has been good. But the last two visits including this one were terrible. They have gone downhill.
We won’t be back.

My meal (evening's special "surf & turf - filet & scallops) was awesome! I was there for dinner with a business associate. We asked to be seated in the bar, which has great ambiance, but the two performers were a bit "too" loud.
My only complaint is that the servers were rushing everything. Server tried to take our order before we even got drinks. She rushed us to give her our orders (we never even opened the menu). We both ordered the special in order to expedite her departure. Our meals were served before we finished our salads. At one point a server (not ours) tried to take the salad from my guest who still have a fork in his hand. My guest, who is from the United Kingdom, commented to me about how pushy the service was.

I love the ambiance. However I had the sea bass and it tasted a bit fishy which means it’s stale. For the amount of money we paid for our dinners it was not worth it. Next time if again I’ll just get an appetizer.
Theresatri, thank you for dining with us. Our goal is to ensure every aspect of your evening is outstanding and regret to hear the rest of your visit fell short of that. We will take action on your comments so your next visit reflects a 5-star experience. We look forward to you giving us another chance, thank you.
Very disappointed in the rack of lamb. Very fatty with little to eat. Expected much better given the expensive price. Drink pours were skimpy, again given high price. Out of several bourbons on their bourbon list.
