About Jade Eatery & Lounge
Nestled into a cobblestone square just off Austin Street, Jade Eatery & Lounges’ address hints at why Jade is said to be “Forest Hills hidden gem”. The space integrates a zen-like atmosphere with inspirational quotes that adorn the walls and a serene koi pond presenting a large Buddha statue smiling benevolently on guests guiding them to a choice entree.

Jade Eatery & Lounge Ratings and Reviews
Very nice neighborhood restaurant. You can dress up or go casual. The decor is nice and simple, I thought the menus were very cool with the heavy material they use it seems quite fancy. I would definitely recommend for a date night of friends outing. Portions are also generous!
Jade is my go to Friday night restaurant. My very first date with my boyfriend was at Jade and 4 years later we still come back often. The jaded passion has to be the best cocktail. The Pad Thai is delicious! The jade popcorn shrimp has to be the best appetizer! My bf, fearful of shrimp allergies for years, took a chance and was thankfully not allergic, but appalled at what he was missing out on. There are plenty of food options to choose from! Jade is a nice trendy place for a group outing or a nice date.
Ordered sushi and it was outstanding. The salmon roe is highly recommended as well as the eel. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and it looks out onto a charming Forest Hills Gardens Station Square. Seating can be indoor or outdoor, or by windows that slide up for an outdoor feeling while sitting indoors. I will be going again with guests.
Jade works perfectly for a group night out and the menu is loaded with Asian fusion eats like spicy tuna nachos and sushi pizza (yes, sushi pizza). In between munches, I was dancing in my seat to the current selection of music playing in the background while puffing on their small selection of hookah. (Note: other hookah lounges would probably be more party-friendly as the coal would last longer in a larger glass at a more cost-efficient price. Here, coal refills are $15 for a small $30+ glass that didn't last throughout the entire meal and my friends and I ordered two rounds of food.) It's worth the trip for the chill ambiance, flavorful food and friendly staff.
This place was beautiful. They have a pool in the middle of the restaurant with different color koi fish. The staff is super nice and their cocktails are AMAZING. The reason for my overall score is because the food was very under season. I had the drunken noodle and my fiance had the pad Thai and they were both lacking flavor.
On Sundays, they open at 12:00 PM even though I had a reservation for 11:15 AM. We didn't mind the wait since it was a beautiful day. It's a corner restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. The cobblestone road adds a beautiful view.
The service was EXCELLENT and it was only complimented by the delicious food. The Bloody Mary was delicious.
You will not be disappointed.
the restaurant was perfectly located by the forest hills train station. food was good but the service could have been better. there was a tom petty concert at the stadium, and the restaurant was slammed. they needed more help. would recommend, but give yourself lots of time if there is an event going on
Went to Jade before a concert at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium. The food was fabulous and the wait service were extremely nice. Food was served fast. My only complaint was the noise level. The music was so loud, I couldn't hear the person sitting next to me! I will never understand why restaurant/bars keep the music so loud that you can't have a conversation. We asked the waiter if they could lower the music, since we had a speaker right about our heads and they did which we really appreciated.
I made the reservation for 12 pm on Saturday because I would be traveling to NYC and be in the Forest Hills area around that time. When we arrived they were not open yet as it was five minutes to 12 and they open at 12. We waited for ten minutes and came back then. Even though they seated us there was a worker using ammonia products to mop the floor right in our vicinity. This should have been done easily an hour prior to opening. Also the restrooms had not been cleaned before the opening. After we had been seated for a few minutes the staff member informed us that they couldn't give us the entire menu as the head chef was not there yet. We were told that he would be there in ten to fifteen minutes, which I believe he was.
With all that, I thought the food was very good. I marked that I would recommend this place only because there is not a choice of MAYBE - I would have chosen that instead.
Food was great and the service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and gave great service, even with an extremely busy section. The only cons were that the Thai iced tea's we ordered were a little watered down and weren't as sweet as they should be and the music was VERY loud and it was hard to hear the people sitting across from us. Otherwise everything was great.
Had dinner before a show at the stadium. Very convenient location across the street from the LIRR station. The noise level is extremely loud! No exaggeration...It was harder to hear a conversation at the restaurant than it was at the concert.
Four of us shared three appetizers and two entrees, and it was plenty of food. I would go back, but I would make sure we had enough time to wait for an outside table!
Unfortunately the service was terrible. It took asking three servers/host to finally even get menus. Then no one came for another 15 minutes to take drink/food order. The drinks (beer and sangria) came another 10 minutes later, and food came out spread out over the next 30 minutes. Luckily the three of us weren't in a rush, but made for an awkward dinner spaced out that way. There were no apologies or anyone who seemed concerned that the food or drinks took so long. It was also so loud it was hard to actually catch up and have a good conversation. Will be sticking with take out.
Restaurant was extremely loud. To loud for dinner. I suggest if they want to blast the music it should be after 9:30 (so the clientele could talk over dinner & not scream). Please let us know if they correct this otherwise we won't go back. We usually eat out on weekends so if the music is lower during the week, it wouldn't apply to us. I also want to note we love music (even loud at times) but the volume in this case was over the top. In closing, we did enjoy the good. I hope you find this helpful.
