Our waiter left a little something to be desired... He was clearly annoyed before he even came to our table. But the food and sake was good!

My father and I enjoy coming here for sushi when we can and every time we come, we repeatedly receive slow or forgetful service. My father ordered 3 glasses of wine and each glass took close to 10 mins to even reach the table and when my father ordered another, the server forgot and came over 10 mins later seeing if we wanted the check! We made him take it off of course. This has been a pattern that we've noticed each time we come and I think we are going to start doing carry out from now on. The noise level in the restaurant is extremely loud as well. Better train your staff to work more efficiently and provide better service and maybe we will be back for dining in!
Sushi is good.Personally I think they have too many fried options, but overall its not a bad choice. Service could have been better. I think that 7pm rush overwhelned the staff.
Kirby is the best waiter. He's always awesome and provides the best service.
My most recent visit was at lunch and the service was pretty poor. I've been here for dinner a few times and the service was much better. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Friday lunch and it took about 40 minutes for us to get our food and it was pretty difficult to get our waitress to check on the table for even water refills. The other times I've been at dinner it's been packed and service was much quicker so doesn't really make sense. Also, the sushi rolls were smaller at lunch yet you pay the same price.
Food is always good and the service is usually not so much.
Wait staff was inattentive and the food was inconsistent temperature wise. My guest and I both ordered sesame chicken. Food came out...broccoli and rice was cold. Sesame chicken literally had no sesame sauce served with it. Tried to flag down someone, but in a restaurant half full of people I couldn't get anyone's attention. I ended up walking around to the bar where it seemed the entire waitstaff was huddled socializing . They promptly brought us the sauce. Had to ask for water and soy sauce several times. Overall disappointing experience.
Mediocre food and service. Not sure that I would return. Like your sister concept better 18Asian.
Lettuce cups were very skimpy and sauce was too heavy. Sushi rolls were good.
I would only recommend this place for Sushi. The service was awful and the hostesses weren't welcoming or friendly.
From out of town and this is my "go to" restaurant for upscale sushi...always excellent service and incredible specialty sushi rolls. Good for any special occasion or business meal.
The food was delicious - sushi is always on point! Ambiance was perfect. Great for a date, get together with friends or family dinner.
Food was great but table location was terrible. I will specify in notes next time to request a booth. I feel when you make a reservation, it should be a decent table, not one directly in a traffic area.

The food is good but the service is not! Hostess ignored us when we arrived preferring to talk to another member of staff than greet customers. Waiter brought our food and walked away so we had to call him back to explain what fish was on our sushi, to which he said 'it might be mackerel but it might be something else'... not helpful! My miso was splashed into the saucer below and onto the table as the waiter placed it closer to him than myself and I was told the napkin underneath would get it. Lots of little things that add up to not wanting to return despite the decent food! Jade need to tighten up on their customer relations and professional attitudes or I am sure they will lose more customers than just us!
Food was great as usual - some of the best sushi rolls in Charlotte. Wait staff is young, inexperienced and unprofessional. Restaurant was very empty as we were there for an early lunch, and the wait staff and hostess were yelling conversations across the restaurant about personal issues that were distracting from the dining experience. Also, we waited over 20 mins for food when there were only 2 tables in the whole place. Kitchen staff needs to have everything ready to go when the doors open. Food still good, but service at Jade has gone really downhill in the past 1+ yrs
We sat at 2:00 and ordered sushi. When that arrived we wanted to order lunch entrees, but the waiter said the cook had left (until dinner service started)- and that luckily the sushi chef was still around to make our sushi. Another table had to be told the food order they had already placed wasn't coming out. Don't allow lunch reservations to be made until 2:30 if the cooks plan to break before all the customers are served.
The sushi was excellent, lots of standards and unique rolls. Volume level allows for good conversation and the paper top tables make a great tic tax toe surface.

Just awful! The food was terrible. The noise was over powering. The servers were moving too fast probably understaffed. The dim sum platter was not a dim sum platter but rather three different looking fried somethings that had different shapes but all tasted the same. The seven spice steak was awful. I think I cook Asian food better than Jade Asian Fusion.
Food was very good and service was great. Too loud to talk and hear.
The food here is great - but the service is absolutely terrible. We had empty wine glasses for over 5 minutes, and then added empty water glasses to that. Had to basically flag our waiter down for service. If the sushi wasn't fantastic I would never visit Jade again.
The ambience at this restaurant was frenetic - loud, very high energy with the staff, not relaxing. Our food was average - not memorable. The sushi scored high, however. Our server was delightful, but the overall feel of the restaurant was impersonal and cool.
We always enjoy visiting Brian and his staff at Jade. The sushi is excellent as is the seven flavor beef.
Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and drink menu and provided great service. We tried the Cherry Blossom roll this time and it's our new favorite. Jade is our favorite sushi restaurant in Charlotte.
We tried Jade because of its convenience to the movie theatre and the good reviews on Open Table. What a disappointment! The decor is drab and a bit shabby. Although our server was good, the food was dreadful. (Apologies to the chef. Hopefully it was just a bad night?) My husband said the sushi tasted as if it had been sitting out all day. I ordered Mango Salmon, expecting fresh mango; no such luck. It was clearly a jarred sauce that was overly sweet, like jam. The salmon was flavorless and overcooked. The smallish portion sat atop 3 spindly pieces of broccolini, also flavorless. No problems with the rice, except that the portion was enough for 2. Oh, I forgot the appetizers, but it's just as well. Sorry - we won't be giving Jade a second chance.
I've been to Jade a million times.. Over the past 3 times it has decreased in quality all together. Not to mention the 86 health rating. Unfortunately we have had the same server 3 times that is borderline terrible. He always forgets something. This is really frustrating for me because I expect a place like Jade to have better employees. My boyfriend is an experience restaurant manager so he has some patience with servers however, even he was very disappointed in it all. As an avid sushi lover, I always promoted Jade as one of my favorites but after this visit I do not plan on returning unless I hear it is getting better again.
Food was great as usual. Service was horrible, which we have never experienced at Jade the many years we have gone there. Were seated for over 15 minutes before our sever even greeted us; long wait for our bottle of wine. Server was totally distracted and inattentive - water glasses empty, mistakes on our bill, over 30 minutes for our food to come out and the restaurant was not full.
Food was good. Not as good as RuSan's, and definitely not priced as well as RuSans, but good. Waitress forgot our appetizer, so we ate it after we received our sushi. Overall, we will be back because it's the best place close to us.
Food is very good. Fresh sushi that was nicely presented. Service is beyond slow for lunch. Server was pleasant, but with only a few tables in a mostly empty restaurant lunch took over an hour and a half.
We appreciate the great service we receive each time we come to Jade Asian. The food and sushi are delicious.
I've been to Jade many times. The food is always good. Very convenient when catching a movie.
Horrible experience here tonight. While our waiter was fine, it is obvious that the owner does not value customers who have been coming to his restaurant weekly for over 4 years. After watching him following his waitstaff around taunting and yelling at them, he decided to change his policy of accepting the Ballantyne discount card. The table next to us used their card and the owner got mad and said that the waitstaff have been allowing the card on weekends when that is not his policy. When we tried to use our card he then said we were not allowed. When we complained he walked away from us mid sentence . It is no wonder that all of the regular waitstaff have quit. We will NEVER return.
We had a great experience at Jade. All of the sushi was nice and fresh, the wasabi was on point and the waiter was very attentive. We are looking forward to going back to try their other non-sushi meals.
Definitely get the Cherry Blossom roll, it's the best I've had there. I always enjoy the food at Jade, but sometimes the service can be lack-luster.
Eating at Jade is always a treat. Whether you're looking for sushi (always super fresh) or straight up Thai, they consistently deliver the goods. We ate lunch outside and even though our server (Joe, I think...I'm terrible with names) had tables inside, he was incredibly attentive, kept our table immaculately clean, our water glasses full and didn't rush us through our meal even though we were one of the last guests there for lunch. We'll be back.
