A really nice dinner with my GF. I will say however that Les Hauts de La Gaffeliere is NOT Chateau La Gaffeliere and when I pointed that out to the waiter when he brought us the bottle he seemed to think I was from Mars. Great food, good value, I'll be back
The steak frites is great. Always a terrific experience....
Sat outside for an early dinner at Jacques Brassiere yesterday. Big thanks to the kitchen for accommodating my onion allergy and making me a fresh strawberry compote for my foie terrine appetizer. Wish there had been more toasted bread include as I quickly inhaled the four pieces that it came with. My main was a fantastic roasted chicken dish with gravy that’s making my mouth water even now. Dessert was a nice creme brûlée.
Everyone had a great tine. The service was exceptional. The food was excellent as always
We go to this French restaurant for the hamburgers and French fries. T%he unique combination of apples and blue cheese on the burgers is delicious. It did not disappoint.
Pleasant place for lunch.
Wonderful experience again. However, they brought me the wrong order 2x!
Wonderful service, food and atmosphere. Love this place. Just wish we lived closer by!
Typical French bistro. Great menu. Something for everyone. Food delicious. I had a chicken Ceasar & my friend had an omelette. Bothe excellent. BTW the omelette comes with yummy French fries. Service friendly & professional. Glad to have this restaurant in my neighborhood.
Love this restaurant. Consistently good in all respects
Love Jacques! Excellent food and friendly service. And the bread is to die for!
Friendly, albeit distracted, servers. Good steak frites.
A classic Brasserie with lovely food. Both romantic and casual. The acoustics inside are a little strange, we could clearly hear conversations across the room. We have loved this place for years and will continue to go back.
Very comfortable inside. Plexi panels between tables, but it wasn't busy. More people outdoors. Food is consistently good. Good local where there is a dearth of French bistro style offerings.
I love Jaques the location their outdoor space it all works. I took my daughter there today for a pre-wedding lunch
Celebration, with two other family members. My daughter in law ordered the frisée aux lardons salad, with which added chicken to it. When the bill arrived i saw the salad was $41.00. I’m sorry but that’s outrageous for a salad.
$26.00 for salad then $15 charge for the chicken. It’s more than their hot entrees!
I’m not sure if they have raised their prices during and after pandemic. But they certainly need to reconsider charging $15 for a piece of chicken breast.
Authentic French food in a French Cafe environment. The menu is full of French favorites which makes it hard to choose, and means we have to go back to try other dishes. The escargot is delicious! Service is pleasant and efficient. A little pricey for lunch, but the quality of the food justifies the tab.
Relaxed environment, friendly and efficient staff, and delicious food
While I’m not a fan of how the outside dining looks curbside (very cramped construction looking) the ambiance inside is beautiful. Our server Joshua was attentive and helpful with food suggestions. The meal itself was delicious; I had the soft shell blue crab over white asparagus while my husband had the pappardelle with mushrooms. Flavorful, not too salty or oily. We’ve already recommended visits to two of our friends :).
Average brasserie. Service today was very slow. Spacious outdoor seating. Indoor ambience is charming when available.
Always a favorite. Perfect spot for any occasion. The extra effort makes the parking lane across from The Gap seem almost like Paris and the interior experience never disappoints. Excellent wine choices and fabulous service and servers. Love Jacques!
Everything was perfect - though I did tell them it was a birthday celebration and would have liked a candle on the dessert
Consistent provider of good food (mussels are the best lunch option) and polite service. Best French in the area combining good value and pleasant experience.
Jacques has never disappointed me. Service was outstanding and food delicious.
It was delicious!
As always it was fabulous. I eat there quite a lot with my husband and we like to bring guests there.
Solid traditional French bistro fare. Friendly and unobtrusive service. Will definitely look to return if in the area.
Long wait for main course and the food was barely room temperature.
Good for local lunch or brunch, or dinner. Authentic bistro cuisine. Outdoor seating available too
Always great!! Delicious food, excellent service, great wine list. Thank you guys for always delivering!
Many restaurants have faltered when nice weather and the lifting of restrictions took place. They were not ready for the avalanche of customers clamoring to be given a chance at enjoying life again. Jacques Brasserie is one of my steadfast places that is always dependably good. The steak was not warmed properly, was not medium. This is the first time it happened, in many years and given the circumstances, I will disregard it. I will not be as merciful if it happens again.
Have loved this restaurant for a long time. So glad it is open. Had great Caesar salad with chicken. Bread always delicious. Excellent wine selection.
Food was average. Tuna overcooked.
We sat outdoors and were served drinks and bread quickly. We placed our order and then we sat for an hour. We did ask for a glass of wine on the house, but still never got our food. We told the host that we had not gotten our meal after an hour and we were going to leave. He said something about the kitchen being backed up. We left without having dinner. We have eaten here many times and never experienced such poor service. I would not recommend this restaurant without sharing this. Eventually we will go back, but not for a while. Left a bad taste in our mouths.
Beautiful spot for an early evening gathering for light fair. we had mussels and cheese board and bottle of sancerre. just the right amount of attention from our waitstaff. highly recommend outdoor dining here.
A wonderful soupçon of a France I well remember with friendly service, great atmospherics, a lovely, reasonably priced menu (for NYC dining), and very good brasserie food. I highly recommend Jacques for all of the above.
29th Wedding Anniversary. You guys did a great job.
Always a must when in the city. Martini by Kevin GREAT! Roast chicken one of my favorites!
If I cannot be on the Left Bank...I will be at Jacques!
We ate outside. Not a perfect set up, but nice enough with dividers and decent space between tables. The food was great as always. I miss sitting at the bar in the evening!
We really enjoy the service. The onion soup was delicious and so was the burger.
