A spectacular meal on the lower Patio. The weather was perfect
We had a great time and the chef really made our daughter’s birthday special by sending her a special dessert on the house!
Awesome as always...lovely dining experience!
Love this place. Wonderful authentic French food. Absolutely delicious. Soufflé to die for! Great service.
Beautiful! This is one of my favorite places to be. I love it. We sat outside this time. It was a beautiful day with a beautiful setting/view. We looked at the gardens as we enjoyed our food and drinks. I got my favorite drink - Le Picon Bière (Amer Siedel). My husband got his - Sage Cape Cod. I could eat the cottage cheese and garlic toast all day. I got my Warm Roquefort Tart which is so delicious. It is light while being hearty if that makes sense. I opted for something a little different this time for another course - Chive Crepe Stuffed with Duxelle Wild Mushrooms. It was so good. My husband always gets the Sunday Chicken - Classic Vol au Vent. I don't eat meat but I always take a bite. The sauce is heaven. I wrapped up my meal with what I always get the raspberry souffle. Beautiful and dreamy. I love the hot raspberry sauce. As we were paying I overheard some of my favorite words ever - the soup of the evening is Split Pea. I got a bowl to go. It was my lunch the next day. I cannot tell you how much I love the Split Pea soup. The other soup I love that he makes is the Lentil Soup. I could have those soups all the time.
Great birthday celebration.
Awesome! Everything was fantastic!
The food was outstanding as always. The service was a bit inattentive.
Outstanding food and service as always! Celebrated a birthday and as always, a great choice for the occasion.
Always a great meal with Chef Jacques. We like the French-themed atmosphere and the ability to get fresh vegetables grown in the garden at the meal. The garlic bread with cottage cheese, house aperitifs, escargots, mesclun salad, and excellent French wines and desserts are always a highlight. We imagine that we are in a wonderful French bistro across the ocean and just catch up on what is going on in our lives.
Great as always!
Outstanding food and service, great drinks, and all for a very reasonable cost.
As always, the menu and food was excellent and their service superb!
Excellent food, wine, ambiance/charm/decor, and service, for a very reasonable price. Overall - excellent!
It’s as close to a little French bistro as you can get without crossing the pond.
Let’s see... I made reservations two weeks in advance through Open Table. On the day of our 37th anniversary, the restaurant said they didn’t “see” our reservations, wouldn’t look for them, and suggested we “sit at the bar and maybe a table would open up”. Really?
This is way beyond poor service. Never again!
BTW - we found a far less elitist restaurant and had a great dinner at a third the price.
As always the food was marvelous- as well as service. However the noise level was unbearable- the Bistro is too small to have a table of 10 women in the middle of the room. Chez Francois needs to examine their policy of allowing a table of 10- no matter the sex- in such a small space. It was difficult for all of the surrounding tables to enjoy the experience of dining in this beautiful setting.
Father’s day. It would be nice for the menu to be updated. Service and location is great.
My cassolet looked line it came from can of pork & beans Never seen cassolet with a tomato base. Secondly, dish had a quail breast along with the wing bones.
Wonderful experience. Feels like you’re in France! Great outdoor dining. More of a winter menu, limits choices in hot weather. Food very good but not as good as on past experience. Great wine list. Great setting. It’s a gem.
We have been to Jacques Brasserie a number of times and love the food and service. Having been to France a number of times, it brings us back to the traditional and vibrant brasserie scene.
It was a perfect evening! We sat outside and the weather was wonderful. Our server David was very attentive and very knowledgeable . Our food was delicious and we enjoyed everything we ordered. All around great evening!
Excellent location for a delicious lunch on a lovely spring day.
It was perfect weather to sit outdoors and the setting wonderful. Service and food were exceptional. With a group of friends and service not intrusive but attentive. Will go back!
You can not go wrong with this restaurant. Casual, great food, friendly service as well as elegant. They go the extra mile to ensure your dinning experience is relaxed and enjoyable.
As always a wonderful dining experience. Great food and Jacque and his staff treat customers like they are family and very special people. A real treat.
Outside seating was lovely and quiet.
Great special event venue .Fabulous food; great service.
It was a beautiful day so we ate outside on the patio. Wonderful meal shared with special friends.
Decent food -
But the ambiance is very disappearing. Dark and enclosed.
Also, tried to make a reservation for 6 pm, but Open Table only let me book for 5 or 7. The restaurant was absolutely empty at 5 and by 6, only a few tables were taken.
Very disappointed in the experience - food was good, but for the ambiance, I honestly can't recommend it.
Always an exceptional experience! The Brasserie is a wonderful venue for long lunches with good friends and/or "date nights"! :-)
Jacques is one of our local favorite places for a great meal with great service. Just casual enough to not worry about what we wear. The bouillabaisse is out of this work with flavor and tender seafood. We also like their fish special of the day.
One of our favorites. The food is great. Same as the main restaurant but a la carts.
Staff went out of their way to enhance our birthday celebration - this restaurant is always a favorite for special occasions.
Service was a bit slow - don't know if they were short-staffed that night, but our waiter was slammed. Servers were not as "on top of things" as they usually are.
Soft shell crabs were superb!
Alsatian dishes prepared and served to a very high standard. Ambiance is extraordinary. A special dining experience.
Fabulous, as always! Grabbed a late lunch on Sunday with a bunch of girlfriends. Sat outside as it was such a nice day. Food and atmosphere were both amazing! After eating, we took a little stroll and looked at the gardens.
We love Jacques. Service is the best! Manny makes sure everything is ship shape and up to par. He knows what my husband and I drink and eat. Today we had Edwin. He was excellent. We saw Jacques. You will never see an owner/Chef more involved in their restaurant. He cares so much for his customers. He cares about every detail. Just another reason to love this restaurant. I changed up what I usually get. I had the best omelet with pomme frites and hollandaise. I love the raspberry soufflé and get it each time. My husband got the Sunday chicken which is lovely. It has a beautiful cream sauce and puff pastry. Jacques is a relaxing little piece of heaven.
