Excellent location for a delicious lunch on a lovely spring day.
It was perfect weather to sit outdoors and the setting wonderful. Service and food were exceptional. With a group of friends and service not intrusive but attentive. Will go back!
You can not go wrong with this restaurant. Casual, great food, friendly service as well as elegant. They go the extra mile to ensure your dinning experience is relaxed and enjoyable.
As always a wonderful dining experience. Great food and Jacque and his staff treat customers like they are family and very special people. A real treat.
Outside seating was lovely and quiet.
Great special event venue .Fabulous food; great service.
It was a beautiful day so we ate outside on the patio. Wonderful meal shared with special friends.
Decent food -
But the ambiance is very disappearing. Dark and enclosed.
Also, tried to make a reservation for 6 pm, but Open Table only let me book for 5 or 7. The restaurant was absolutely empty at 5 and by 6, only a few tables were taken.
Very disappointed in the experience - food was good, but for the ambiance, I honestly can't recommend it.
Always an exceptional experience! The Brasserie is a wonderful venue for long lunches with good friends and/or "date nights"! :-)
Jacques is one of our local favorite places for a great meal with great service. Just casual enough to not worry about what we wear. The bouillabaisse is out of this work with flavor and tender seafood. We also like their fish special of the day.
One of our favorites. The food is great. Same as the main restaurant but a la carts.
Staff went out of their way to enhance our birthday celebration - this restaurant is always a favorite for special occasions.
Service was a bit slow - don't know if they were short-staffed that night, but our waiter was slammed. Servers were not as "on top of things" as they usually are.
Soft shell crabs were superb!
Alsatian dishes prepared and served to a very high standard. Ambiance is extraordinary. A special dining experience.
Fabulous, as always! Grabbed a late lunch on Sunday with a bunch of girlfriends. Sat outside as it was such a nice day. Food and atmosphere were both amazing! After eating, we took a little stroll and looked at the gardens.
We love Jacques. Service is the best! Manny makes sure everything is ship shape and up to par. He knows what my husband and I drink and eat. Today we had Edwin. He was excellent. We saw Jacques. You will never see an owner/Chef more involved in their restaurant. He cares so much for his customers. He cares about every detail. Just another reason to love this restaurant. I changed up what I usually get. I had the best omelet with pomme frites and hollandaise. I love the raspberry soufflé and get it each time. My husband got the Sunday chicken which is lovely. It has a beautiful cream sauce and puff pastry. Jacques is a relaxing little piece of heaven.
The Brasserie noise is a real non- starter. The noise level of a sports bar. I would never recommend it to anyone who wanted to have a conversation. I will never dine there, only the main dining room which is delightful.
Food wonderful like there classic restaurant.had the mushroom crepe appetizer, the gorgonzola tart (which was the best) and a tuna tartar special for apps. All great. Nice drink menu. Bouillabaisse and veal scaloppini were wonderful, as was a sea bass special. Dessert and coffee superb as well. A little too noisy for my taste, but a cute space below L'Auberge, and you don't need to really dress up.
As always a wonderful evening with service, food and ambiance second to none in the Washington, DC area.
Have been to the Brasserie many times - love the alternative to a 5 course meal!
The seats can get uncomfortable - but I guess they don’t want you to tarry :-)
Excellent food and amazing service. Could not recommend more
Excellent service and consistently good food. Authentic Alsacian ambiance.
It was a gorgeous day and we elected to eat on the patio. The scenery, the food, the service were all excellent. Wonderful way to share time with friends.
Always a delightful evening. Service, menu and ambiance is always wonderful.
Overall we had a great experience. We loved the cozy atmosphere and would definitely come back. Food was wonderful, bartenders were kind and attentive. *One thing that could of been better explained/handled was our special request for our Anniversary. During the online reservation setup, I was asked for any special requests. We requested to have a few fresh flowers put on the table. I got no call or email stating that this would be a problem or if any prior arrangement needed to be setup. When I asked the server about my request he said he would look into it and that we'd have to pay for the flowers (which I assumed from the get go). After coming back to the table, he mentioned that they could not do the request and that "We are not a florist". This was extremely rude and unprofessional. I would have liked a prior call or email stating our request could not be honored or that special arrangements needed to be made with a local florist.
Great food , courteous and attentive service, friendly wait staff. This is one place you need on your list for good dining experience
This is a review of the happy hour only - we were two couples, and went for the happy hour only. This was a great way to get a taste of the menu!
The food was excellent (and great prices on the happy hour menu) and the service was excellent.
But be aware that the happy hour menu is available only in the bar area, and the bar area is tiny.
Two small two-seat tables, and maybe 6 seats at the bar. That's it. and it is wedged into a corner of the room, so if the seats are filled, there's really not much room to stand, without spilling into the dining area itself.
In short, its a great happy hour and a great opportunity to experience the food of L'auberge Chez Francois at very reasonable prices, as long as you're one of the 10 or so people who can fit into the bar area.
if not, then you're out of luck, or you can sit at table in the dining room (and pay full price for the privilege)
Intimate setting. Tiny space but food was delicious! Exactly what you’d expect from a brasserie! Will come back!
Our waiter was delightful, they knew how to make my favorite cocktail, our food was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and it was a very good value.
Terrific service and declicous lunch. A hidden gem in beautiful Great Falls!
Lovely evening ... be aware there are no table cloths here and the small area with plates clanging on the tables can be loud...add children and parties of >2, it can be hard to hear.
Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez Francois is amazing. We are regulars. You get all the sophistication of L'Auberge Chez Francois with a more casual and relaxed feel. The menu is just as large and a' la carte. When I have friends in town I take them to L'Auberge Chez Francois. But when I just want to throw a pair of jeans on and have a great meal with drinks and maybe even sit at the bar, I go to Jacques'. I could stay there all day. I take my time when I go and soak up the special feel of the whole building. You can go upstairs and look at the beautiful desserts, go out to view Jacques' gorgeous gardens full of the beautiful veggies you eat in the restaurant and it's great people watching. Jacques loves his restaurants whether upstairs or down, you will see him walk through. He loves his customers and always thanks them for coming in. He is very personable. Now to the food - amazing - on this visit I had the best pea soup of my life. My favorites are the lentil and the pea. I always get the roquefort tart. I never tire of it. I always ask for more garlic toast and cheese. I always get the raspberry souffle' for dessert. Although I love when I have a birthday because I also get the meringue with ice cream. My husband got the chicken on this visit. He decided to change up from the hamburger that he always gets which by the way is rated one of the best hamburgers in the metro area. The chicken he got was beautiful. It was white chicken shredded with beautiful mushrooms and the best cream sauce stuffed into a puff pastry. Veggies accompanied it. I don't eat chicken but he gave me a bite of the mushrooms with the cream sauce and puff pastry, it was heaven. He scrapped the plate. The drinks are always wonderful. I always get the Le Picon Biere which is 1664 beer and picon. My husband loves trying the cocktails and usually gets an after dinner wine. The service is the best. As my English friend says "it's proper service".
This is our go-to for incredible food and service.
Always wonderful. Loved our server and the food is consistently delicious.
Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez Francois was a wonderful dining experience, as it has been every time! An intimate room, fine food and drink, exceptional service. Once plums are back in season, all aspects of the food will reach outstanding heights. Regular menu entrees and specials are all special! An excellent 'foodie' destination.
This wonderful restaurant deserves every accolade it receives. I have been eating at Chez François for decades and it has improved (if that is possible - hard to improve on perfection). The food is simply prepared, fresh, and delicious. If you are looking for a pretentious "carrot essence" type of restaurant you might want to consider another place. But, you would be missing out on beautiful surroundings, excellent service, and great old world style food prepared with care by a real chef using fresh ingredients. In season, "local" means produce from the huge garden on the restaurant grounds.
Always a wonderful experience!
Amazing!!! The Brasserie is just spectacular food and top notch service. Thank you for making my husband's birthday memorable.
Good food, great service, nice atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone looking for good food in a relaxed atmosphere
