Very special in most every way! From the curb appeal to the last mouth watering bite of the chocolate torte desert, this was a top 10 dinning experience. My wife and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and we are so happy to have enjoyed this experience.
Delightful meal in a beautiful country setting overlooking gardens. Pace of service allows diners to enjoy the occasion of fine dining.
This restaurant is truly a treasure that we are privileged to have in our area. Everything is top notch. We look forward to going here.
We had a lovely dinner and our waitress enhanced the evening. Thanks
As always, an Excellent meal and evening out. The new outdoor dining area is charming.
We had a wonderful time, and even though one person had strict diet restrictions the staff was wonderful in accommodating her. We were treated with utmost respect and made to feel welcomed as if we were family members.
Thank you for continuing to be there for us. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for French food.
It is rare to find perfection in a dining experience—every dish was outstanding. The service was the best I have ever had! It is great to have a more casual atmosphere to experience food this elegant and fantastic.
Restaurant didn't honor our open table reservation. Said we didn't have a reservation they did get us a table but it wasn't for the outside table we reserved
Fredy did a great job as our waiter! Jacques' Brasserie continues the great tradition of L'Auberge
We had the most beautiful lunch outside at the Bistro. Lunch was really good--we started with the caesar salad which was excellent! Two diners in our group had hamburgers and fries and they were wonderful...another had the trout, and I had the salmon. We all had a special day--we were celebrating a birthday.
Lunch on the lawn at Chez Francois is always a great treat.
Terrific food. Well spaced tables.
As always, a wonderful dining experience in beautiful surroundings. Thank you.
It was our first time at the Brasserie.
We celebrated an anniversary as we have done in the past at the upstairs restaurant.
Would highly recommend either dining experience.
Understanding that you are still recovering from the COVID crisis, we did find the menu limited but were able to choose options
Very pleasant experience. Server gave us a very well-timed experience and nice recommendations. Food and cocktails were superb. The violet gimlet tasted like summer in a glass.
Beautiful evening on the back stone patio of the Brasserie! Danny and his team do a wonderful job! Highly recommend for any sort of evening!
Delicious food, perfect ambiance
Superb “old World” atmosphere. Great Service and delicious food.
Excellent presentation, meals cooked perfectly. Interesting flavor combinations, such as basil margarita and coffee beans in Sambuca. Attentive, well-trained wait staff. Entire experience made for a very special evening for our family.
this is really a very special place, with perfectly prepared and interesting food, outstanding service in a hospitable setting.
Food was excellent (escargot, seafood appetizer, mushroom crepe, onion soup, chocolate torte, veal entree). Greens comes from their own garden and things like ice cream are made from scratch. Wish there was a little bigger menu/choices or more periodic changes because we end up having a few items over and over again as we prefer Jacques Brasserie to the more formal L'Auberge upstairs. Whether eating cosy inside or outside, the ambience is lovely.
Classic French. Excellent and unusual gluten free options for a person with Celiac’s in our party.
L’Auberge excels at hospitality. Warm greetings, measured and professional service. Beautifully prepared food.
The Brasserie was not busy (ie “full”), but the members of a large party were loud, disconcertingly loud!
My wife and I each had the citrus lobster entree, not on the Brasserie menu, available as an entree since it is on the L’Auberge menu. Other than the very firm and unripe kiwi, the entree was wonderful. We each had the Grand Marnier soufflé, and they were excellent.
The only disappointment was the organic mixed green salad. The portion was disappointedly small for the price. One ounce of baby greens, one crouton and the dressing. Overpriced and to be avoided!
More often than not our meals at L’Auberge are 5-star events. We always anticipate a memorable dining experience and we always leave with a smile.
Such a wonderful location to celebrate a birthday and being fully vaccinated! Food and drinks were perfection!
Mediocre at best. Portions are very small and not worth the price tag. Service was ok but rushed even though place was empty.
Excellent service, delicious food and the setting is very romantic....
It was just ok. I hoped for more. The table was small and the area was loud next to the bar. The snails were ok, not great. The fish was pretty good.
One of our favorite restaurants in the D.C./VA area.
Jacques' Brasserie upholds all of the wonderful characteristics of the original Chez Francois (yes, some of us who enjoyed Francois' cuisine on Connecticut Avenue are still around)! The food was excellent, the service fabulous. And the outdoor setting is delightful. So happy to be visiting again!!
Good food, lovely service in a quiet cozy setting
We love chez Francois and the brasserie. However, this visit was a disappointment. With all the work done recently they overlooked the tile table tops. Missing and discolored grout is not appealing. The seat cushions were probably there since it opened. The veal scallopini was great. The oysters were not up to the usual fabulous standard. They were dirty and full of tiny shells. The shrimp were small and tasteless with the over powering tomato sauced risotto. The waiter was hard to understand and he was not up to the job
Love the atmosphere and the very kind waiters! Made my friend feel special for her birthday!
The service food and ambiance were very good. And we will return. One suggestion: we were sitting by a window, a lovely table, but the window sill needs attention as there were at least 2 dead flies on the sill. The staff needs to pay attention to those small things.
Always an exceptional evening!
Perfect French food at a lovely country location! We love to come to both the upstairs dining and the downstairs Brasserie that has the same food but a la carte. Enjoy!
Always excellent at L'Auberge. Can't go wrong. One of the best restaurants in greater DC.
The best lobster thermador in NOVA.
Chef Jacques is always in too of his game
The food and service are always outstanding which is why we keep coming back.
Always a wonderful time here! Beautiful dining, inside and out. Perfect French cuisine and impeccable service.
It’s always the best. Never disappoints. I have been going there for over 30 years.
