Merci Beaucoup and Stay Safe!
Restaurants in Alsace traditionally have a formal main dining room as well as a casual dining room known locally as a weinstube or brasserie. At the brasserie, diners may enjoy traditional, hearty Alsatian dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. These friendly establishments are immensely popular with Alsatians and visiting them is always the best part of my trips back to Alsace. I opened Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez François to bring the tastes and comforts of the Alsatian brasserie to Great Falls.

We have been patrons since the very early 80s. I have never ever had a bad experience at this fabulous restaurant. It is truly one of my most favorite dining pleasures. I have traveled this country extensively and still have not found any restaurant that is comparable to my beloved L’Aubuerge. Also the wait staff has always been incredible and it never felt pretentious. Could not give this establishment anything other than the absolute best wishes to Chef and staff.
Outstanding drinks food and service by Danny and team. Thank you Jacque. Place looks great from all your refresh this winter. Wonderful meal!!
Outstanding from beginning to end.
Wonderful fire pit. It was a very breezy cold evening hut we chose to sit near the fire put and had a very delicious meal. Most meaty succulent soft shell crab, lobster thermidor, blue cheese salad, onion soup, and soufflees—yum! Friendly, attentive service, too!
Everything about the dinner at the Brasserie was fine except the French Onion Soup which didn't seem to have any onions in it. At the time we couldn't figure out why is was lacking in flavor, then it came to us afterwards, but it was too late to re-order. Otherwise the service and food were excellent and it was nice to sit outside in the late afternoon.
Very pleased with the Brasserie, looking forward to eating outside when it's warmer. We've never tried brunch but this year may be a good time.
Like most people, our family hasn’t been out to dinner in months - maybe since summer of 2020, and even then it was at Jacques. The outdoor seating is such a gift. The food was delicious! My kids got the fresh halibut in beurre blanc sauce, and my husband and I split oysters, salad, fish and Jacques’ amazing fries with béarnaise to dip (DO THIS). Everyone was so happy - you guys made our night!
Amazing waiter and always great food.
Beautiful place. The Menu is authentic, love the French atmosphere
I gathered with friends at the Brasserie last Sunday afternoon. We're so lucky to have Chez Francois where we can enjoy a perfect afternoon in the country complimented by delicious cuisine and excellent service.
Delightful. Great service. Great ambiance. Very much like a cafe in rural France.
Except: No Rouille with Bouillabaisse? Never heard of such a thing. Very disappointing.
The bouillabaisse bowl was too small. Should be short and wide. Too much seafood. Overcrowded the broth. Too much tomato in the broth. No sense of saffron or anise or Pernod. All in all an engaging soup, but as a bouillabaisse it misses the mark.
Our first meal out since March 2020. Great to see Chef Jacques. Outstanding meal. Our server Jose' provide great service.
We asked to sit outdoor. Atmosphere and service was great. Food was excellent and liked the recommendation.
Went on a Saturday night as the weekly special is Steak au Poivre, a Brasserie favorite of mine. Though more than satisfactory, the food seemed more the creation of a high end team of grill cooks than the issue of an attentive chef. The meat was a slab of prime beef, a bit overcooked for my taste and less "peppery" than the best I've had. The vegetable garnishes were identical to those of my wife, who very much enjoyed her rainbow trout filets. Still, the identical garnishes for widely differing dishes are more indicative of production line thinking than holistic culinary concepts. But then, this is only a brasserie, so this is hardly disqualifying.
But the bottom line is that the experience was more than satisfactory, but a less than optimal experience in fine dining. We'll be back for other pleasant meals in very comfortable surroundings.
Loved the atmosphere! Had heaters right above us, so the climate was super comfortable. Service is impeccable. Best burger and fries!!! Best softshell crabs!!!
Great oasis. Amazing service and wonderful food. Don't tell anyone ;-)
A lovely night. We enjoyed the excellent food and relaxed atmosphere. We also appreciated José's recommendations!
Perfectly done French cooking, served with graciousness and attention. Everything from bread to desserts was excellent. The ambience in the patio tent is not as nice as inside, but it was good to be out in the fresh air. The staff is very welcoming, greeting us all the way from front desk to our table.
Beautiful spot for outdoor dining with great service.
It was a beautiful afternoon sitting outdoors in the lush yard.
This was our first time dining at the Brasserie. We sat on the lawn (tables outside the restaurant under a canopy were a bit too close together). It was a lovely setting, but became too cool after dark (and there were no heat lamps). The food was excellent. Highly recommend the bouillabaisse and the veal scallopinne.
As always, the finest cuisine and superb service! Thank you.
Lovely way to celebrate our anniversary!
We had perfect weather to match the food. Wonderful!
Really enjoyed the meal, sitting outside. Only criticism is that we had to wait quite awhile between serving the main course and dessert. We had ordered two souffles, but right when we were seated, so would have expected the souffles to be ready by the time of dessert.
Lovely site, making us feel that we were in the country.
As always - great!
Wonderful Easter lunch...service and food were very nice and patio is adorable on a nice day.
Excellent experience overall. Fantastic service, beautiful ambiance, and excellent food.
We chose Jacques Brasserie for our first dining out experience in over a year and were so pleased that we did! The service is impeccable and the food is outstanding. Do not skip the souffle! We look forward to returning again soon.
The perfect location for impeccable service, reliably wonderful cuisine, and great atmosphere. They even brought out a complimentary dessert for a birthday. Definitely on the agenda for a repeat performance!
As always the Brasserie at l'Auberge Chez Francois was great!
Always superb! It is a delight in every way.
Visit takes you to French mountain village and you’ll experience fantastic tour of French culinary traditions. A friend of mine, a French man, said that he hasn’t eaten anything like this since his childhood when his grandma cooked for him his special dishes.
Best experience overall in Northern Virginia bar none.
Always our go to restaurant for special occasions!
Very enjoyable meal on a rainy day. My rock fish was perfectly cooked.
We always enjoy our visits to L’Auberge Chez Francois. It was great to come back!
Wonderful as usual. Meals were delicious and the setting is always delightful.
Had a birthday brunch for friend. Our server was very attentive and professional. Really enjoyed. Definitely come back.
c'était une soirée fabuleuse avec une cuisine délicieuse servie par des gens magnifiques
No better way to celebrate being 2 weeks past the second vaccination than lunch with a friend on a beautiful day. Servers were so kind about the late arrival of my ditzy friend. They were so good about getting her a glass of just what she wanted that wasn't on the by the glass wine list. Food was lovely, and I was giddy with delight to find the bouillabaisse and the plum tart had both returned to the menu!
