Restaurants in Alsace traditionally have a formal main dining room as well as a casual dining room known locally as a weinstube or brasserie. At the brasserie, diners may enjoy traditional, hearty Alsatian dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. These friendly establishments are immensely popular with Alsatians and visiting them is always the best part of my trips back to Alsace. I opened Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez François to bring the tastes and comforts of the Alsatian brasserie to Great Falls.

We have enjoyed dining at L'Auberge Chez Francois for many many years--as have our children from the time they were just youngsters. It is the first restaurant we think of when we have a special occasion to celebrate whether it is for birthdays, anniversaries, or other special events of ours or extended family members. While this was our first time dining at the Brasserie--for lunch--we will definitely add the Brasserie to our list and will plan to dine there again. We enjoyed the small intimate setting and the food selection and portion size were just perfect for us. Also our waiter, David, was very attentive and when asked a question about some of the paintings/dishes displayed on the walls sought out Jacques who came downstairs and gave us some of the history of the pieces in the Brasserie--some of which date back to not only the original downtown restaurant but include items either collected by or done by Jacques' relatives. Couldn't have had a nicer afternoon on Valetine's Day or better service and/or food. Thank you Jacque and the staff at L'Augerge Chez Francois!

One of my all time favorites, try the beef cheeks, the salmon is consistently amazing. For dessert, the creme brûlée is the best. House wines will work for most people, unless you're a european wine expert. Service is A+

We had a wonderful time at Jaques. The staff was very accommodating and service was excellent. Food was delicious. They took care of us and it was very nice.

We celebrated our anniversary and the food, service, and ambience were perfect. We were originally seated by the window, nut asked to be moved as we were too close to a large party. It ended up being the perfect cozy table for us. The sommelier helped us choose a lovely wine. The cream of fennel soup was exquisite. The appetizer size bouillebase was just right. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the lemon sole. They surprised us with complimentary baked Alaska and champagne. And we finished up with a yummy chocolate shuffle.

Never disappoints! Portions are a perfect size. I love the menu but tried the Friday night special Lobster Thermidor. Twice the price of regular entrees but delicious. Service is always on point. Danny is exceptional, Abel is amazing too. Alex recommended the perfect wine.

The fppd, level of service, and ambiance are great! It is always special when the host and some staff remember you from the last visit to the restaurant. It is hard to imagine a better duck breast or mussels than what is served here.

We have been going to Chez FRANCOIS since it opened in Great Falls. Now the Brasserie is our favorite to go,place. I had the liver tonight which was outstanding. Not a dish I have very often but has a rare treat it was perfection
