Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez Francois
Chef Jacques Haeringer
Everything was amazing! The drinks were great, the appetizer (chive crepe) might have been our favorite part.
Wow, just wow! The service was incredible, I felt like I was at home. The food cannot be matched... I wish I could eat here every day!!
Jacques is always a treat and truly the best food in the DC area. Amazing cocktails and a great wine list.
I tried the special dinner of the day, a seafood medley with wonderful fresh veggies and a pastry puff in the center. It was a delight.
Another wonderful brunch at Jacques Brasserie! Always warm and welcoming. This time we brought my 21 year old son, who was home for spring break. He and my fiancé enjoyed the crepes suzette while I loved the filet mignon Benedict over sautéd spinach . Fiancé and I split a bottle of bubbly and my son and he had a lovely cappuccino to close out the meal. Service was excellent and it is easy to recognize why this place is so prized in the Great Falls community!
This is a nice, casual-atmosphere restaurant downstairs from L'Auberge Chez Francois. The food and service are excellent. Tables are fairly close together so you can hear other parties' conversations, but I think that adds to the friendly atmosphere. It's a good special occasion restaurant, and considerably less expensive than upstairs at L'Auberge.
Unfortunately we had the same waiter, Pat, that we had on our last visit to Chez Francois. He was just as annoying and argumentative. I asked for medium rare but it was practically raw. We had to ask other servers for help. Next time I will say please not him. The food was great but the service is not the same as it has been since we started coming when it first opened.
Our first visit to happy hour at the bar. We enjoyed several small plates. The snails, beef checks and seafood medley were favorites. The mushroom tart was ok. The wine and beer choices were yummy and priced right. The service was. as always, top notch.
Always superb cuisine, attentive service and relaxing setting.
The lobster salad is a perfect prelude to a decadent hot hazlenut souffle dessert. My friends very much enjoyed their calves liver entrees as well. Lovely place for a leisurely lunch on a dreary cold afternoon.
The beef bourguignon was very, very salty other than that everything else was very good. The Sunday shrimp dish over risotto was excellent and barely any salt was added.
Took a girlfriend for her birthday to the Brassiere. The wait staff went above and beyond, very attentive and nice. Her mushroom omelette was very good, she was very happy. I ordered French toast, it was hard and cold. Coffee was good. She ordered dessert and when I asked for a candle for her chocolate torte, they brought a new dessert with a candle and I sang Happy Birthday. She had a wonderful time.
Impeccable service and ambiance. Soufflés were phenomenal as always. French toast was very thin and not worth the price tag.
Jacques is our favorite neighborhood spot. The service and food are just as fabulous as upstairs at Chez Francois, but the atmosphere is fun, cozy and casual. Perfect for a Fri night!
We sat at a corner high top table in the bar which was an excellent spot for us since one of us is hard of hearing and wears hearing aids.
Food (sliced sirloin steak and beef bourguignon), martinis, and service were excellent.
fanatastic in every way celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday
Relaxed atmosphere, good quality food, reasonable prices - a great option for a relaxed lunch or dinner.
Always wonderful atmosphere, service and food. Highly recommend for all occasions.
Our favorite spot. Great food, ambiance and service.
Food was great...lived up to expectations. Excited about the enclosed patio.
Anniversary lunch - wanted to try cafe. Loved it will go back in the spring when we can sit outside. Chef sent a special desert to celebrate occasion.
Food here is spot on good ole school French cuisine!
Prefect place for a celebration!
We love the less-usual, but authentically French dishes. Do you have others to try on the menu?
As always, we loved our visit and meal! We brought a visitor from Okinawa, Japan, for a lovely lunch on Sunday. He was very impressed and loved his meal!
This restaurant is always such a pleasure to step inside. The team is so warm and gracious. On this occasion we were celebrating my friend’s bday and Daniel brought us complimentary champagne to the table to make it extra special. The omelets were delicious as usual! Thank you to everyone each time!
Always Amazing! The quality of the food and the staff are top notch, an excellent experience in a more causal atmosphere.
Exceptionally good food in an upscale neighbor restaurant! During the winter months, because patio dining is not available, the noise level is sometimes difficult i the small space.
Would highly recommend.
Wonderful and delicious as always! We had the daily special and some fabulous wine
Best cheeseburger I have ever had. Service is always superb!
Very good overall.
The Brasserie is very good! The food is as good as in the diningroom and is a la carte.
We always have a great meal at Jacques Brasserie. The food is always great, never disappoints! A little slice of France away from France. And the desserts are hands down the best!
Our meals, as always, were absolutely delicious. Danny is the best, ever so gracious!
Always a treat (have been going here for 35+ years) and really enjoy the new grill downstairs.
We went with two other couples - it was fantastic! The food is always off the charts, and the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and comfortable. The service is not always on-point. We waited for all to be served, with some food coming out ahead of others, but all in all a very pleasant experience.
Great food, wine and service, we had a lovely time, and the Grand Marnier soufflé was excellent :) Merci
The food was exceptional and authentic. Service was very professional. My only complaint was that it was way too quick and we felt rushed. We were in and out in 60 minutes as the service was so fast.
Jacques called me personally to follow up on this review which I appreciated. You need to let the servers know if you want to dial down the pace.
Fantastic food, ambiance and service. Bravo!
Such a wonderful ambience for catching up with friends!
We've eaten before upstairs, but this was the first time in the Brasserie, wanting a more casual experience. The food is the same (except for the hamburger and Alsatian "pizza"), the service is the same, the wine is the same. In fact, it's as superb as upstairs, except it's a la carte and the atmosphere is breezy, a little loud, but otherwise warm and cozy. Our 80+ year old parents loved it and so did we. We're already looking forward to our return.
