Jacques is one of our favorite neighborhood haunts, for brunch or dinner or cocktails, it is reliable and always a pleasant experience.
Always delicious, always great service, always plentiful.
The salads nicioise yesterday was scrumptious. And, the white and dark valrhona chocolate terrine was amazing. It's always a pleasure for me to be there.
Fantastic every time!
Always good, although expensive
Dining at Jacques is always a pleasure particularly outdoors in the spring, summer and early fall. However, the menu is tired. I have almost lost my taste for everything offered because it is so predictable. The quality is excellent but the options need to be expanded and must be more interesting.
Amazing meal with amazing service. My second time visiting and I plan to return again.
Lovely spot for any occasion.
Food and service is great! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming every time we go. No matter what dish is chosen for the main course, they have never disappoint!
As always, Jacques Brasserie was wonderful. We went there after a movie, and were seated immediately. Food was terrific and service impeccable. We were not rushed - we probably sat there for two hours. And as always, on Saturday night there was a fantastic singer/guitar player.
Wonderful Experience with food and Service. Jacques is our favorite restaurant now.
Once again, Jacque's was a wonderful dinner evening and I was so pleased my friend loved her first time at Jacque's! A great neighborhood restaurant!
Excellent dining experience. Great for special occasion or just lovely neighborhood night out.
Always dependable both food and service. Noise level is tolerable.
This is our favorite restaurant on the Upper East Side. We go there every time we’re in town from Pennsylvania. Food is always superb.
Obnoxious party spoiled the meal. Staff did their best.
Service was extremely good. For example, they anticipated the wine pours perfectly. The menu was good. Mussels were really excellent, papardalla was ok. Nice wine list. Easy walk from museums like the Metropolitan or Guggenheim. The mushrooms in puff pastry appetizer was brilliant. It’s a go to place if you are on the UES.
I have always enjoyed my visits to Jacques Brasserie except for this last time. The noise level was at it’s highest to the point I considered leaving. Regarding the food; I believe the regular chef was on Vacation.
Wonderful sitting outside
Always a lovely evening when you’re dining at Jacques.
Would highly recommend Jacques
The food was very tasty
Specifically the roast chicken preparation was excellent with a delicious complex sauce.
Hanger steak medium rare as requested and tender
Service very attentive
Authentic bistro venue
Great bar with excellent choices for wine/beer
Service was outstanding; food was delicious. Ambience was perfect.
Love the atmosphere. Like being in Paris. Best mussels ever!! Will be back soon.
I love Jacques but the service was not great the other night. Our waiter never came over to offer
coffee or dessert and we even had trouble getting his attention to get our check. Otherwise terrific!
Sunday night and great mussels are always a great match.
Classic Bistro Fare and Service. Very good. Very fair prices.
Nice food, French bistro feel with outside seating available. Service was slow and inattentive from both busboy and server—mismatched for cost/service. Many other better choices on UES. Chocolate soufflé was cold at bottom and very much like Costco’s Valrhona chocolate soufflé! Hmmm.
This has long been a neighborhood favorite of mine—and I haven’t lived in that neighborhood for 14 years! Jacques never disappoints.
A friend and I have been here for lunch a number of times. It's always a pleasant experience. It's quiet so talking is possible. The french fries are especially good.
Went with friends and we all loved our meal ... They had Mussels and loved them ... I had the special - lamb shank. It was absolutely delicious!
Had lunch with a friend and we both enjoyed our dishes! We had the shrimp with guacamole and onion soup which were delicious. We then opted for desserts, creme brule and cafe Liegeois.
As always everything was delicious and I will certainly go back again as I have been there numerous times for dinner and always enjoyed the ambience of Jacques! A great place to relax and enjoy a good meal!
I was impressed by the idea of having blankets for the confort of their clients. Good savory dishes with appropriate portions. Soup hot and delicious. Will do it again.
I have been going to this restaurant regularly for several years, I live in the neighborhood. It ihas a consistently good food and consistently attentive service. Nice ambiance inside the restaurant, great seating on the outside during the summer. The restaurant is on a side street, the noise level from the traffic and pedestrians is not disruptive.
This restaurant is a neighborhood restaurant, frequented by many regulars. Best cous cous in town! Only on Wednesdays.
Our go-to place for great meal at fair prices with excellent service.
The food was average when factored in with the cost, time and indifference of the staff. We have eaten there a few times because it is in the neighborhood and I like French food. Each time we go hoping for a better experience, and every time we end up getting a bad table and and mediocre fare. I think this was our last visit.
Enjoyed celebrating Mothers Day
Excellent restaurant - we love it. We try to have dinner there with each visit to NYC we make -
Had a lovely night. Good food and service. Plan on going back
One of our favorite french restaurants. The food is always delicious!
Have been here several times over the years. It is better for lunch. The soft shell crabs were mushy & I had to send them back. The waiter was very nice & tried his best.
