Good size menu to choose from. Two appetizers were very good - fries with cheese curds and gravy, and buffalo chicken won tons. Had a party of 4 and it was the first time there for all of us.
Everyone was happy with their dinners.
I had dinner after a downtown event and everything went well and the ambiance was great. Enjoyed the Andeker beer as well as I haven't drank this beer in over 25 years.
We were excited to try Jackson's as it was recommended by a co-worker. Was looking for a good fish fry ~ apparently that is not Jackson's specialty. My broiled cod tasted like absolutely nothing and the french fries were soggy. We were put in a back room that after awhile it seemed like they turned the heat off since it got extremely cold. May try Jackson's again in the summer for the outdoor patio - but will not be ordering fish again!
A nice place to meet up with your college-aged son or daughter when visiting them!
All four of us enjoyed our meal. Each dish was unique.
The cheese curds are the best we've ever had.
We had a great Sunday Brunch and the Bloody Mary bar was a real plus.
Excellent food at a very reasonable price. We will definitely go back.
Loved it! Can’t wait to return.
It literally always something. Dry croissants this time. Poor service again. Truthfully, we go there because of the free shuttle to the MU b-ball games. It’s getting old.
We went to go see the Trans Siberian orchestra and had dinner here beforehand. I had the Friday night perch and it was very very small and undercooked. I almost feel as if since they knew they were gonna be busy all night, they were just trying to shuffle people through. Our appetizer and food came out 2 minutes apart. My boyfriend got the turkey sandwich, which turned out to be delicious. So good was decent overall. They also had a free shuttle to the Bradley center for the event, which was awesome!
Nice atmosphere for a casual, group lunch for a special occasion. A little noisy but a comfortable environment. Something on menu for everyone.
Made a reservation and was a few minutes late. The place was packed but our table was waiting for us. Quick service and fantastic food. Friendly staff. Free shuttle to the Bradley Center.
I made a reservation to ensure a table and just showed the confirmation to the hostess before being seated. Food was good and so were the drinks. Many options to choose from. We had the garbage fries, cheese curds, jalapeno poppers, and chicken tenders, plus many a drink.
Consistent quality and service. Such a great variety of dinner and and craft beer/cocktail choices.
I am sooooo impressed with the service we received on a very busy night. Thanks so much for making our night!
Better experience this visit. Special occasion with family visiting from out of state. Nice location in historic Pabst Brewery neighborhood.
I had the burger with spicy chips. Very good. Husband had the vege burger but didn't like it so much. The Andecker beer was good though!
Great place to go before the Marquette games. I went twice in one week and used the shuttle to the game due to the cold weather. We've never been disappointed with the food!
Great food and fun atmosphere, especially before the Admirals and Bucks game Saturday.
Service was slow and sometimes non-attentive from our server Brian, but that aside we had a great time.
They could have had their shuttle include the Admirals game attendees. Admirals game was at 6:00 pm and the Bucks at 7:30 pm. Seems they only cater to the Bucks games for the shuttle, so keep that in mind. I know we will, as we were a party of 5 going to the Admirals game and decided to take a cab as one of our folks has a torn hamstring and could not walk it.
Great business lunch around the noon hour. Service was excellent as was the service. Noise level was really good for a discussion although having been there on a Saturday night for dinner prior to an Admirals game along with the Bucks game...noise level was VERY high!!
I ordered baked cod which was rubbery - I told the waitress I was gluten free and she brought me a salad with croutons on it, my fish came with bread. They came up as a gluten friendly restaurant when googled....we all felt they were rushing us out - not my favorite place.
Not impressed with the food, I got the beer battered shrimp and the breading was not cooked all the way through, my husband got the perch and there were like 5 tiny pieces on the plate
We ate on the patio and it was delightful! Great drinks--esp. loved the Jackson's 75. Joe Hite provided excellent musical entertainment. We had a super fun evening!
Chicken and waffle sandwich was unreal. Bloody marys come with a beer chaser. Genius.
My friends and I were visiting Milwaukee for a weekend, touring various breweries. With this restaurant being the ground floor of the former Pabst Brewery, we HAD to check it out. It is a neat historical building. The menu is upscale bar food, and our food was very good (especially the cheese curds). I plan to go there again!
We wanted to try this place so we went with friends for my wife's birthday celebration. I made reservations for 7 and they jammed us into a table for 6 with many larger tables open. Server said those were reserved but NO one sat there the 1.5 hrs that we were there. Server was more concerned with waiting on the patio than inside. Service was very poor had to get own drinks and refills, food was cold and fair at best server never even brought utensils to the table I had to go to the bar a scrounge then up. Just overall disappointing. What a shame. Very cool location, to bad.
Ok place, good food, poor service, nice outdoor seating and a bit over priced.
Great selection of beers I have sadness fear friendly and good food
Pretty much a sports & beer bar. The food was excellent for the price. Salmon BLT was nicely prepared and their hand-cut fries are awesome.
It's a very noisy place and conversation was a bit difficult. Service was average as was the ambiance.
If you're into loud sports bars with televisions everywhere, you'll find good food for a good value. Beer and wine were particularly great values.
Of the 6 of us only 1 found there really good. The pear flat bread had little taste. I would go back for drinks but not food.
The soup nd salmon was good.
Cheese sticks turkey wrap embarrassing.
Will never be back, so disappointed esp party of 8 .
Graduation quick bite and had no reservation. We were able to get in with OpenTable which was great and super convenient. BUT....Waiter forgot one entree out of 5 and it was for the graduate!! She had to wait 15 minutes while we all ate as we had to get someone in our party to the airport.
Usually love Jacksons but it fell short of our expectations for Mother's Day brunch (even though not busy). Slow service and buffet had empty pans for long periods of time. Love the building and the beer but the food just wasn't great this time.
Amazing service! Great menu! We will definitely be back!
We met at Jackson's at the Pabst development before the Bucks playoff game. While the space was very loud, the service was responsive and the environment was comfortable. The menu was casual food, but was prepared rapidly and quality was excellent. The beer selection was also very good. We took advantage of the shuttle to the game, but walked back. Parking on game day was not a particular value at $15, but better than ramps and lots closer to the arena.
Above-average food for a sports bar. High noise level but doesn't detract from the experience. Waitstaff is friendly and helpful. Service is relatively quick. Great beer selection and reasonable prices.
Great venue, casual atmosphere in a great area of Milwaukee. Nice tap selection and an equally nice offering of cocktails. Food was OK, I recommend sticking with the basics. Although the wings were very good. I had the grilled cheese BLT; nothing special. All I could taste was whatver fat substitute they used on the bread. My friends agreed that food was good but nothing was great.
Service was spotty as well. The kitchen brought the wrong app to our table; it took our server about 10 minutes to check on us so we didn't wait and started eating. Our server's response: "Oops." He seemed like he would have rather been anywhere else but working that night.
As said, great ambiance; I hope they up their game and succeed.
Food and service was great! Server recommended an appetizer for us, the giant pretzel, and it was awesome! I'll definitely be back!
They are still working the kinks out.
Had perch fish fry and it was OK but would not go back for it again. Said it was lightly dusted and they were not kidding. Was not enough coating and the fish was not fried to a crispy brown. Looked pale and unappetizing.
Fresh cut fries were not fresh but limp and only warn.
Coleslaw was very small container.
Giant pretzel was very good.
Wanted their signature Bloody Mary but was told they were out of their vodka. Disappointing on a busy Friday night with Bucks game. Should be ready for large crowd.
