Jackson Fillmore Trattoria
Will always be my go-to Italian restaurant in San Francisco. Cannot go wrong with a single menu item!
Charming and cozy restaurant with a timeless vibe. Well worth the visit. The food is very good though not out of this world. Service is quick, efficient and friendly.
I have been going to Jackson Fillmore since say 1992 or 1993 and I come back every time I get to San Francisco. We had Orichette de Elefante, Gnocchi, and stuffed pasta with zucchini carpaccio, fried calamari, and stuffed artichoke. Jack himself was in the house and he recommended the best Italian red we had ever had. Sori Paitin Barbaresco “opens up like a flower” says Jack. This has been My favorite place in SF and it is still the best in my opinion.
Food is good but the ambience even better. A must if you’re in the Pacific heights area !
Muy rica comida italiana. Servicio excelente
JF has been perhaps our favorite go to place in SF since it opened in the 80s...it has gutsy delicious creative Italian food and wines unlike anywhere else. The calabrese sausage in the Contadino, misto is better than Molianri's, the snapper fra diavolo and most of the pasta dishes are the best. Also the Carpaccio di Zucchine is superb. Its great value...just be careful some of the Italian wines may be pricey.
Super tasty and comfortable! All the service staff were friendly too
Food was awesome, but we felt rushed. There was little time between ordering and delivery of food. Maybe because it was a Thursday night at 8:30?
In town for a wedding. Had eaten here before on the advice of family member that lives in the area. We were so excited to return. Excellent wine, fresh tomatoes, delicious pasta and sweet gelato. Our favorite Italian restaurant in SF.
This is a wonderful restaurant. We will definitely go there again, and will also go to the Portland location (where we live).
Great neighborhood spot that makes you feel like you're actually in Italy. Really enjoy coming back here, and the value is pretty good as well!
Local gem. Shhh, don’t tell anyone.
My favorite restaurant in SF. Best food, service and vibes. Feels like I’m at my Grandma’s home.
Incredible service and food. Could have better seating for dates, but other than that, 10/10
One of my new favorite places in San Francisco! The burrata and tomato appetizer was amazing as was the artichoke. The tortellini was rich, but left you feeling incredibly satisfied. Would definitely come back here again. Service was great too and the atmosphere in the restaurant really makes you feel like you're in a trattoria in Italy.
I dined with my 4 friends. We are all in our mid60s and have known each other since elementary school. We were trying to have a fun night out.
From the moment we sat down to the time we left I felt we were being rushed. Because we hadn’t answered quick enough the server whisked away the wine menu. We had to ask for it to be returned. While one person in our party was still eating the appetizer the staff cleared all the plates and hovered until she swallowed so he could take her plate.
At the end of the meal (food was just ok) one person stood up and the staff cleared the entire table (wine still in glasses that were in front of people).
Very disappointing because this restaurant is in my neighborhood and has a good reputation and I’ve eaten there several times. But I think the bloom is off the rose.
Excellent food and friendly service
Great place all around
Great neighborhood spot. Been frequenting this restaurant for probably 20 years. The entire experience never disappoints. There are the old reliable favorites along with specials to choose from. Zucchini salad amongst the reliable favorites and the salmon or Capellini special amongst two good choices from this visit.
The food was VERY disappointing (inedible). My meal (pollo saltimbocca) did not resemble in any way my selection. The chicken was nothing more than a chicken tender beaten to rubber, the prosciutto was in fact burnt Canadian bacon. The chicken was not rolled or breaded or layered and there was no cheese - all the components of a pollo saltimbocca. Nothing else was served with the rubber chicken and it cost $23.75! I have never written a negative review in all the years of going to various SF restaurants, so the fact that I'm doing so now speaks volumes.
What a gem. Off the charts comfortable, delicious, authentic, unpretentious, accommodating. We had a birthday party with 7 people, and we felt like we were in Italy.
We have been there many times for different. Food is always consistently good. We highly recommend the stuffed artichoke with bread crumbs and prosciutto as well as the chicken and sausage plate....yum!!!
Homemade style yummy Italian Food
Super nice cozy meal. Love the neighborhood atmosphere. The food was good - simple/comfort.
Not the best time but still good. Would appreciate a vegan option for my daughter.
Great local restaurant with great food. Fish was fresh and well seasoned. Service was beyond great. Had a Chocolate Tartufo for desert. Probably the best I have ever had locally.
Great food and service as always.
Can't beat it! It's like stepping into a fabulous, authentic restaurant in Firenze.
Food was ok. Portion ok. Service ok. Too over 40 mins to get food and one entree didn’t come until we we were almost done
Great meal and ambience. Got the roasted chicken with the capers and the lemon. It was delicious.
Been coming here for 30 years. The food is still very good...good wine list, great atmosphere. Like coming home.
Always delish, especially the zucchini, Park, toasted almond app they serve. Service was great, will be back soon!
Amazing food, great service. Rely upon Casey’s knowledge of Italian Wines when picking them out to complement your food.
Very casual neighborhood gem. The Italian food was excellent and homemade.
The hostess was a bit kurt and unpleasant; however our waitstaff was great!
A little disappointed that we were there celebrating a college graduation /birthday and paid for own dessert even though it was noted in our Open-table reservation! 🤔😌
If you know, you know. Get there soon before the techies make it their staple.
Great to be back after 20 plus years- inadvertently made a reservation for 3 instead of 2 and were forced to wait for 45 minutes but it was worth it!!
Feels like a family run business—everyone very nice —fast service, good food—
This is one of my favorite restaurants, Great Every Time!
Friendly and fresh - attentive service and authentic flavors. Reminded me of being in Italy.
Jackson Fillmore used to be a lively, vibrant restaurant where the food was meticulously prepared. Unfortunately now it feels tired. A place where there are no surprises.
Loved this neighborhood Italian restaurant. The service was on point. Highly recommend the Ravioli al Pesto and the Spaghetti alla Carbonara entrees
