Jackson Fillmore Trattoria is a local favorite for a casual, neighborhood meal. Jack has been cooking up great Roman and Southern Italian food at Jackson Fillmore since 1985. We have a small dining room to accomodate reservations for parties of 3 or more and a dining counter for parties of 2 or those who just drop by. Our wine list is primarily Italian, representing all of the great regions in Italy. Our Bombolotti Sugo de Carne, Carpaccio di Zucchini and Tiramisu are legendary. Check out our website to view samples of the menu and wine list, or for more information about us.

Honestly dont know if they had a bad night but came here with my bf on Sunday night and food was extremely average. They ran out of items on the menu. My linguine was extremely plain. It had no flavor. And my bf's pasta sauce was very watery. Disappointing.

Very noisy with several tables of screaming children. Feels crowded. Food was good, but not as good as last time I was there.

It was Okay. Nothing to write home about. I had the fettuccine carbonara 3 out of 5. Wine list was so so. I would try numerous other places before I would go back. The service was very good!

Wonderful meal with a good starter and great service! Good wine list as well. They took great care of us for our anniversary!

Jackson Fillmore is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. I hesitate to say all the good things I feel about it because I'm afraid it will become even more popular and I'll never get a reservation again. But they deserve kudos. The staff are simply wonderful from start to finish - great friendly service, fast & efficient, but it never feels rushed. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed but the quality of service and food is unrivaled. The menu has favorite stand-byes supplemented by a board of daily specials. I've eaten here a couple dozen times and they have been consistently outstanding in every way, every time.

My friend ordered linguine and said the sauce tasted burned. I encouraged her to tell the server but she wouldn't. I felt bad that her meal wasn't as fabulous as mine. My meal was great! Pesce soup! Perhaps the servers or cooks should taste the sauce before they serve it?

Delicious, unpretentious, comforting Italian dishes. Complimentary bruschetta, however the tomatoes were icy cold. Cozy space, good reputation over the decades with reliable consistency.

The food was fantastic....sadly, we had a reservation and the only table for us was in the middle of the walkway! It was a celebration dinner for our 40th anniversary and we wanted a little privacy, so we said we wait for a table off to the side. Other tables opened up and they seated people who came in after us, it was over an hour before they finally gave us a table. It felt like they did it purposely since we didn't want the awful table in the middle. Our reservation was at 9p.m. so it wasn't peak dining time. Once we were seated, a few of the employees were very kind in bringing us appetizers, we suspect because they realized how long the waiter with the ponytail made us wait. Other than the wait, everything was delicious!

Restaurant is tired and could use an update. Still good pasta and drinks, but not how we remembered it from last visits.

Service was excellent - food very good and reasonably priced - nice everyday go to dinner place. If I lived in neighborhood I would eat there often

Not use to this type of neighborhood gem. Very small and no elegance at all. Just hand made home cooking that was delicious. Very busy place and obviously a hot spot

They agreed to make a vegetarian pasta carbonara for me, and it was delicious. Tons of wonderful, authentic dishes. Everyone loved what they ordered. Have to go back to try some of their extensive dessert list.

Ate with a local/regular. Great service and mouth watering descriptions of the food, everything was so tempting. We ordered a wide selection and nothing disappointed.
