had a birthday party here for 13 guests, food very good, if pricey, service impeccable
Could not see one single smile fromt the waitress during our visit, we barely got to eat and drink up our food before the check came, but nice area and facilities...
Good brunch. Had our table ready as soon as we walk in. Good brunch, efficient service.
BOOTSY!!! Drinks and food are great! Super fun brunch place!
Super friendly, delicious food.
Fantastic service and good food! We had a very knowledgable and fun server.
AMAZING FOOD!!!! Outstanding cuisine!!! A rare find!!!
Amazing! Can’t wait to go back
Food options were interesting and tasted amazing!! Service was awesome. Harming place
Really great food but VERY loud. It was hard for a group of 6 - I wouldn't recommend more than 4 guests. It was impossible to hear everyone.
We had luck to get a table for 11 at Saturday night, service as well as the food was great.
This place was fantastic! I discovered the reastraunt for my friend’s bday then copied her and had mine there. It’s the perfect place to have a nice dinner but without paying an exorbitant amount. I would highly recommend making a reservation as it was packed. Definetly worth it. You should visit!
Food is always good here! Tasty and healthy. And fun ambiance.
Good for group hang out
Absolutely in loved with breakfast at Jack’s Wife Freda! Important to make reservations as this is a popular spot in Soho. Service was great as well, food arrived quickly and perfectly prepared. Can’t wait to be back!
Food was off during last visit - - lasagna was burned, chicken tagine too sweet, one wine we tried was not good for the price point. Some other dishes ordered by our group were good. Third time at this restaurant and by far the worst. Always nice service and an attractive crowd.
Love this restaurant and come every time I visit NYC.
The staff was SO friendly and the food was amazing. I had to change the reservation to add 2 more people the day before and they were able to accommodate us no problem. It is a very small restaurant but we went as a group of 8 and were very comfortable.
Very cute place. Good food. Need to make reservation because it is a small place.
Good location in SOHO to go shopping afterwards.
Had an amazing experience and the food was just perfect! The staff was friendly and fun and made great recommendations. Can't wait to go again next time I'm in town.
This was our first time there and we were a party of 9 (make a reservation) the food was awesome, the service was great and the waiters were personable. They were aware that we had a show to make and made sure we were out on time! Would definitely return!
Don't take reservations if it's still going to take 30 minutes to seat people
We were a large group of 12 and we made a reservation on open-table two weeks prior that was confirmed with an email the day before. However, when we came to the restaurant they said they did not have reservation under my name. I showed them my email confirmation and the wonderful hostess told us that we may have to wait a few minutes but that they could seat use shortly. Within a few minutes she seated us and our waiters took our orders and it was an overall lovely experience. The staff is great and they accommodated our large group with ease. I will tell everyone I know to eat here!
Fun place, very crowded. Tables in the middle, where one sits next to others, hard not to overhear their conversation.
If you like a vibrant scene with good, authentic food, go for it!
Most bad experience in New York, waist of time and money
Busy restaurant, unique food. Happy we made a reservation!
Had the Salt & Pepper Eggplant the first time I ate here and have been thinking about it ever since. Great attention to quality with every dish. Best waiter ever. Gets loud fast - it's a snug space.
Apps and desserts better than entrees.
Terrible staff. Too expensive. Rude servers. Refused extra slice of toast. Got annoyed when we asked for water top up. Absolutely awful! Will NEVER go again
We went to Jack's for my friend's Bachelorette Party brunch on a Friday - we had a reservation for 11 but didn't get seated until 11:30. The host was SO great and accommodating, kept us updated and even had a bottle of champagne on the table to thank us for waiting patiently. All of the food was incredible, and Craig was a fantastic server. One of our guests asked for a glass of ice water and after she finished it, another one appeared without her noticing he dropped it off. So attentive and considerate! We would definitely come here again!
I had heard great things about Jack's Wife Freda so was really excited to try it out. Unfortunately, it seems the rave reviews were very specific to their brunch and NOT to their dinner. Their dinner options were bland at best. I tried to the fish special but the consensus amongst the 18 people that attended the dinner was that the food was "decent." The noise levels were incredibly high and required us to almost shout to be heard. Part of this is the byproduct of the small, quant atmosphere which is really cute. Overall, I would go back to try the brunch but won't ever go back for dinner.
This is social dining, casual, convivial, warm and enveloping. We loved it! The food is very good, eclectic, imaginative, and thoughtfully prepared. Wine selections are unpretentious but good. This is a place to go back to again and again.
Love the food, great spot, but very crowded. We had a larger group, 6 people, so made a reservation. The restaurant did not accommodate us. We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated despite booking in advance. That part sucked, everything else was great.
It was great food and fun- only downfall was that I made a reservation for 10:30, checked in about 10 minutes before. Yet, was still seated over 40 minutes after my reservation.
we loved it
we will recommend to everyone
we wish that we lived closer
we will be back as soon as possible
Very nice ambiance. Staff was very friendly.
The food at the restaurant was good with very unique dishes. However, our waitress was unbelievably rude to our group and adamantly refused to split our check. I understand if it is the restaurant's policy to not split checks, but it became an issue when she conveyed the message to us in a such a demeaning manner. Definitely not a way to treat customers.
Overall, I didn't think it lived up to the hype. Definitely a cute place. Could see it being very romantic for 2, but with a group of 6 it was way too loud to hear everyone. It's small so between voices of other diners and the music (which I did ask to turn down a bit - and I'm 24, not hard of hearing) it's pretty though to have a conversation. Food was solid but nothing to write home about. Between our 6 entrees, 2 apps and 2 deserts, I would say the only items worth eating again were the cheese appetizer and the sandwich with a fried egg on top. Takeaway: great for Instagram, not great for a memorable experience.
Very good service. Nice to go with children. Very good food
