   Went during a slow period and there were two mice in the dining room. Had previously had enjoyable meals at Jack's Firehouse but rodents put damper on evening and perception of restaurant.

   As always, Jack's Firehouse is a great spot for a casual dinner. We took our visiting son with us last week and he loved the place, especially the charm of the architecture. The noise level indoors was a big much, with several large parties seated in there, so we opted for a table that was somewhat indoors as well as outdoors, allowing for us to have good conversation without yelling. Service was excellent. My son said the crab cakes were delicious. It's kind of hit and miss as to whether it will be quiet enough for conversation (after all, the bar sits right in the middle of the restaurant, and it is always packed), but if you don't mind the occasionally over-the-top decibel level, the food will make up for that. Portions are large, so you won't go home hungry.

   Had the catfish sandwich, with a nice sauce. Two of our party had omelettes with ham. All enjoyed, service was attentive, but the waiter had a bit more than he could adequately handle. Good guy through it all. Will recommend Jack's.

   The "Jack's firehouse is situated across the old Eastern prison so one can not says it is scenic but it is historic and a very interesting place. The food was good not as spicy as we would have Liked but the shrimp were excellent. The service was very friendly and ambiance happy and Casual. They kept the decor from the firehouse making it eclectic.

   Loved it several years ago and still delicious- We've come when it opened and many times over the years. Still delicious! We even celebrated our son's graduation there!

   Always love Jack's. Our service with Connor was second to none! He made our dining experience awesome. This time we ordered the famous ribs again. Disappointed. They were very dry. Burger and salads ordered were very good

   It is an old firehouse converted to a bar restaurant ,I have been here before great crab cakes and burgers ! It is across from the penitentiary ,I had dinner outside and in both very nice outside you have a view of the penitentiary it is in the Fairmount section of Philly very nice happening area

   We sat outside along the side of the building, so things were super quiet. The place has been around forever (though it closed briefly). It is tried and true. And it never disappoints.

    Do not order the catfish sandwich. I believe it was frozen and then cooked. But in general, it wasn't prepared well.
