Jack Rose Dining Saloon has several beautiful private and semi-private spaces that are perfect for your next private or corporate event. Our Balcony Room features its own private bar and balcony, as well as a wood burning fireplace, and can accommodate up to 20 guests for a seated dinner, or up to 40 for a reception. Our Open Aired Terrace can accommodate a reception of up to 170 guests. Looking for something a bit smaller? Our outdoor Tiki Bar is the perfect place for a festive reception of 25 guests. Need more space? Our downstairs Saloon can accommodate a group of up to 160 guests. A full restaurant buy-out is available and can accommodate up to 300 guests.

Amazing whiskey selection and very knowledgeable bar tenders. Whiskey service was 5+stars. The food paired well with the whiskeys but was a little slower to come out. Will definitely be back for more food and whiskey.

The meal started out with high expectations with over 2800 whiskeys and a promise of ribeye steak. Well the first three whiskeys we selected were out. We should have been concerned when the waitress described the ribeye simply as “ a juicy piece of meat”. The ribeye was not a ribeye, upon our comment, initially the manager said it was cut in half for presentation. However how can you have two pieces of meat with different thickness, doneness and appearance? Also, not juicy. The taste and texture were inconsistent with ribeye, maybe a sirloin or hanger but not ribeye. Call back the manager who at that point admitted the chef wasn’t happy with the rib eyes cut so created a palate of some other cuts. She said at that point she could bring out a ribeye. Out came a ribeye very thin, but s ribeye. But not $49 ribeye. Overall the experience was one of the most disappointing and reflecting inferior service and kitchen staffs

You go to this place for the Whiskey - it has about a zillion kinds and an "adviser" - but the food was remarkably good as well - very rich - and for desert they had the best beignets I'd had since Cafe du Monde - maybe better.

This is a bar/restaurant that has, literally, the biggest and best selections of whiskey on the East Coast. The whiskey experts can walk you through anything you desire. If you love bourban, single malts, rye of anykind, this is a must go to place. Food is decent but not why you go there.

Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the assortment of whiskeys, which was enormous and generally impressive. However, it took her between 30-40 minutes to circle back to ask us if we wanted any more drinks. You practically had to tackle her to get her to acknowledge you. The chicken skins were pretty terrible and I would not order them again, but the rabbit ragout was okay and so was the steak that my boyfriend ordered. Generally, the food is over-priced, and we ended up going across the street for a second dinner.

We went here because my husband loves bourbon. This is the place to go - I think there were over 700 choices - a bit overwhelming. He got a bourbon flight that was all exclusive bourbons to the restaurant. I has a tequila drink that was wonderful. We shared small plates and that was plenty for dinner. We especially liked the lamb sliders.

The service was top notch. My boyfriend was asked about his favorite bourbons and then they made a custom flight for him. The whiskey expert even came over to follow up. I enjoyed wine and all the delicious food. The hush puppies were so moist and the pot pie’s crust was delicious. The absolute best was a tie between the burrata and the oysters. Good mix of southern comfort food and twists on popular dishes from other countries. It is pricey but worth it for a special occasion or fancy night out. You could also just do drinks and small plates/apps to keep the cost down. I will be telling everyone about this place!

Amazing selection of whiskey in a fun setting. Bar staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Had the Scotch Egg which was interesting! Fries need some help, they were limp and not very hot. Fried oysters very good!

This place has every sort of whisky and bourbon imaginable. Try the flights, if you're not sure where to start. Don't be scared to ask questions, there are people there to help find a drink you'll like.

The server we had was extremely knowledgeable about whiskey. She helped us pick out what we may like and provided good alternatives if they didn’t have something. The food was great, atmosphere was great, and would definitely recommend to those in and traveling to DC.

Excellent experience for the whiskey. Food was mediocre and service was not timed with our dining... Too many courses came out at once, we felt rushed through the food. Would go for the whiskeys /bourbons and skip the food. Definitely sit at the bar next time.

Food was great, but our meals were brought out at least ten minutes apart. It was very awkward and I think they could have done more than comped our dessert, especially with the prices they charge. Seemed a bit chintzy for what I expected. So if you want drinks, I think it’s fine. For a meal, maybe not.

So ill start by saying I am deaf in one ear. That coupled with the noise level made the dining room overwhelming when trying to converse.

First issue, wished us Happy B-day. Wasn't anyone's bday. Then came back and said oh sorry your here to celebrate Veteran's day. Off putting but not a big deal.

The largest negative, aside the noise level (place is all brick, stone, glass), was I ordered lamb and was given pork. (Good thing im not Muslim/Kosher) Now I ordered it medium rare. How would you serve pork MR? So food is dropped, server walks away. Doesnt come back for about 5m. She comes back I tell her this is pork. She looks at my and says yes. Had to re-explain that I ordered lamb. She said oh it was wierd that you ordered pork MR. So I questioned if they would serve pork MR, and if she had thought that was my order why did the pork come out WD. It took a while to get the order right and even then it was a solid 10m before my food was brought out. As usual in this situation my wife had to decide to eat alone or let her food get cold. I told her to eat. This is a terrible spot to be in. Now her food was a cold dish so the smart thing to do would have been to either take hers back and keep it cold while we waited of remake both and bring them out together. They did neither. So she ate, then i ate.

Even after this we werent comped the incorrect meal, a drink, an app, etc. The manager (?) Said she was sorry and offered to take us downstairs somewhere quiet and insisted we get desert (on her). We were taken downstairs to a private room to enjoy our after dinner drink and talk. This was very nice. However, we ordered a desert had our drinks and then we were charged for the desert!!!! At this point we were just over it, paid for the desert and left.

TLDR Very noisy, wrong food from what was ordered, manager promised free desert to make up for it and then we were charged for the desert. Disappointing over all.
