Jack Dusty Coastal Cuisine and Crafted Cocktails
Perfect experience at the bar
Bartenders were amazing attentive and even gave us our favorite brown bread to go
We can’t wait to go back
Jack dusty is perfect for the special occasion
Wonderful seafood dinner. We made a meal of the seafood appetizers. After having the seafood tower we had the mussels. Every dish had a unique twist to it. Love the creativity of the chef. Highly recommend the restaurant. Service was little slow when it came to drinks, but not the servers fault. They seated several large parties in his section within few minutes
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Anthony was our waiter and he was fantastic!! We will be back.
Bday Moms 99th
The excellent venue, excellent food, plus accommodating staff added up to a happy dining experience for everyone in our large group!
Great service and phenomenal food a great evening
Great place with a view of the harbor. Fun and delicious drinks and food. They accommodated our large party with ease and made it a special night. The Siren drink was stunning and very strong!
Savor Sarasota menu has French fries as appetizer ☹️
all just ok, nothing terrible, but we had high hopes, dinner was average
Jose was our wonderful waiter. Great food and atmosphere
Bread baled in a can is unique and very good. I ordered Geroiper done piñata style and Chef accommodated even though on menu was blackened.
Food and service (John ) was excellent!!!
Great food, service, and ambiance. The cocktail list is impressive. Highly recommended.
This was a total shock. We went just to enjoy the Ritz Carlton but wound up with one of the two best meals we have had in Florida. It is always the rarest experience when every single dish is amazing. Yet that describes our dinner. The canned bread was not just a fun novelty but was warm, semi-caramelized, delicious in taste and texture. The blackened Wahoo was indescribably scrumptious- fresh and succulent in a complex perfectly complementing sauce. The beet salad was tangy, sweet and offered the detail of a cold, cold salad plate and cold utensils. The lobster roll was stuffed with lobster and you would have to go to Maine to improve it. We loved the Key Lime Brulee.
Todo muy bueno
I brought an out of state guest so we could enjoy the view and a yummy dinner. While the view was beautiful the food was pretty disappointing. It was so bland and lacking flavor. I had the beets to start, which need some serious help. My friend enjoyed the steak fries. Those were delish. Both of our entrees were so disappointing. She had shrimp and grits, which consisted of 3 shrimp and bland flavorless grits. I had blackened wahoo which was very dry. We did not complain because our server was so great and we didn’t want to make a big deal. The key lime creme brûlée was delicious. So the fries and the dessert was all we really enjoyed. And the service. Danielle was her name and she was phenomenal. She made it enjoyable. However I would Only return for a drink and the view.
I am not a fan of eating with dog's (we did eat outside) where I have to deal with barking and hair flying when LARGE do shook. If you are going to allow dog's why not require them to sit a lower deck of patio, not where dinners are. This really impacted our dinner in what I considered fine dinning option.
My sister and I have been confronting some very stressful and difficult family events. We just needed to escape and have a fun afternoon.
We loved our waiter! He was awesome and so very nice and upbeat.
40th Wedding Anniversary and 65 th birthday
Excellent service and great food
The food, the waitstaff, the outdoor view was wonderful. We usually love to go from breakfast/lunch but this was dinner and did not disappoint.
We had an amazing experience. We showed up dressed way too casual for the ritz(as we did not know that’s where the restaurant was located) and they welcomed us warmly and gave us amazing service. The view is incredible and our server (can’t remember his name but he is from Hawaii) was wonderful. We will definitely be back soon.
Our fourth visit to Jack Dusty was the first that was disappointing. The "crispy calamari
appetizer was soggy - not at all crispy. The once great cioppino consisted of only a couple
of shrimp and small scallops. The rest was clams and mussels in a fairly bland broth.
Jack Dusty is amazing, as always! I’ve been a total of 5-6 times. The ambiance is great, food is amazing, the service is impeccable, etc. You must go, and it’s even better outside! Love, love, love it! Thank you!
Food was a bit too salty. Ask to put less salt when you are ordering. Almost all that we tried (there was 6 of us) was too salty and we all agreed on this. Shrimp and grits was not good. The service was excellent and the location is superb. I’d go there again but would ask less salt on everything and I would not get the shrimp and grits which didn’t even resemble the real thing.
We had a table outside, overlooking bay and boats as well as spectacular sunset
Our server was wonderful!
Cocktails are fantastic. Food was salty. We had 3 appetizers and decided to dine elsewhere for our main course.
It was our anniversary this evening and It was a wonderful dinner!! We sat on the deck and the ambiance was perfect. Our waiter, Jeremy gave us an excellent suggestion for champagne-appetizer- and dinner. The food was delicious and our entire evening was made perfect by the hospitality!! Highly recommend this Restaurant.
Solid food, great patio, service is outstanding! I would like to see a larger raw bar.
It was lovely!
Drinks/wine were awesome as was the food presentation and ambiance, but good comments end there. Food was mediocre at best. Two of four meals were shrimp and grits with latter very pastey and tasteless. Other two meals were salmon and cobia cooked very well but no wow factor. Not worth the $300 spent!
Limited menu because it was Mother’s Day. Way to disappoint the two Moms at our table! Service was extremely slow. Food was not very good. They comped a couple things because of this. No reflection of limited selections on the menu/ website when I booked on open table so was very disappointing for Mother’s Day as I booked 3 weeks in advance. Will not recommend or return.
Service is not excellent and the Food is limited in selection and very overpriced and for what you are served. All in all it was a disappointing experience!
Nice atmosphere but was disappointed with the Mother’s Day buffet. Great service!
What a lovely Mother's Day Brunch. We didn't want the bustle of the dining room and opted for Jack Dusty (since that is more our family celebration spot anyway). Everything was just what I wanted on Mother's Day! Delicious!
Great food and cocktails
We had a great experience! The chef was amazing, she came out and asked if she could plate the cake we brought... She presented it beautifully when she really didn’t have to... Very happy with the service.
The restaurant is delightfully relaxed, sited on a beautiful lagoon—the food and service were outstanding. As it was Kentucky Derby Day, it was very active—-we (two seriously senior ladies) sat on the terrace and received excellent attention and food. I’ll be back often.
It was my birthday and I expressed that on the open table app when making the reservation but there was no acknowledgement at all so we were disappointed by that. Great food, pricey but I nice special occasion place to eat.
Our dining experience could not have been better! The service was beyond perfect. The food was outstanding! The chef was amazing! This has just become our favorite place to eat in Sarasota!!! I do not believe we have ever has such a perfect dining experience!!
