Amazing! The ambiance was amazing and the food was also incredibke. The Siren drink was so worth it!!
Excellent dinner, excellent service. Our appetizers and entree's were beyond delicious. Great evening! Will be back.
Lyle was our server and he was wonderful! Helped us with menu selections and was extremely personable. My mother and I had lunch there and we had a wonderful time and didn't feel rushed. Cocktails, to lunch to dessert! Everything was amazing!!
Our waitress was the best ever!
Energetic, attentive, and informative. Couldn’t have been better!
Cioppino was excellent- tasted all the different seafoods pulled together by the tomato orange broth. Craft cocktail 'Anchor' seemed to have been thrown together, though. Was expecting clear ice cube with rosemary suspended in it but got a snowball with a spring on the side, and all the syrup sank to the bottom of the glass suggesting insufficient mixing. Odd since craft cocktails is supposed to be one of the calling cards of this place. Otherwise very pleasant, with attentive efficient service.
Food was very good. Professional staff however service was slow. Waited 15 minutes for cocktails. Bar was backe up.
We were disappointed. We made our 10 pm reservation for post theatre dining. When I made the reservation on Open Table, it showed availability for reservations until 10:30 pm, so I thought no problem with timing. But when we arrived at 9:55 pm for our 10 pm reservation, we were told that the kitchen was closing at 10 pm, and we'd better hurry up and order if we wanted anything to eat. And so we did. The ahi tuna was good, not fabulous. The best dish was my husband's squid ink spaghetti with clams and mussels. Our server was not particularly friendly and seemed like she was ready to go home. Drink prices were totally outrageous and off the charts at more than $20 each for an old-fashioned and a Manhattan. That's price gouging.
It was our 20th wedding anniversary. What an awesome place to celebrate it and the service was top notch. Did not feel stuffy as some high end restaurants can feel. Hearing the story about how the concept of the bread was founded to the story of who Jack Dusty is and how he got his name. The crab & fried green tomato appetizer along with this pepper appetizer was a great start to our dinner. I had the boneless ribeye with blue cheese spinach and mixed veggies. My wife had the grouper served in the parchment paper with rice. Then to end the dinner (had to find room), we had the German chocolate brownie with caramel praline ice cream. The service was amazing from start to finish!
Jack Dusty's is pleasent destination. We all started out with a cocktail and everyone commented on each of the glasses only being filled 2/3 of the way. Quite odd. Our dinners were all very good. 2 of us had the swordfish special aand it was prepared perfectly! Service is outstanding.
Everything you’d expect at the Ritz. Perfect evening and perfect food. The price was extremely reasonable
First, our service and meal was outstanding! However, it was freezing cold. We noticed the group of 4 at the table next to us complained and asked to sit out side or have there table relocated.
They moved and the air was turned down...30 minutes later it was extremely hot? Certainly not a big deal...but as we were looking at the drink menu we ordered waters. The non bottled water had a rather uncomfortable Oder about it. It was quickly replaced with bottled water. :-)
Great night and meal! Thx!
Fish (snapper) was dry. Vegetables totally bland- no flavor. Very disappointed especially after having had an exceptional lunch previously. Way overpriced for very ordinary food. My other 4 guests felt the same.
Our waitress was amazing
We sat outside- not much light to see the menu or our food but the view was incredible
Lovely atmosphere. Delicious cocktails.
Took a bit too long for my liking for our entrees to come out but server apologized. And they were out of one of their dessert options by 830 pm. Otherwise would have given them 5 stars.
Lobster bisque was thin and too fishy. No lobster chucks whatsoever. Cerviche excellent but shrimp and other contents looked cooked. Half a Lobster tail very small, filet mignon perfectly cooked but all, including spinach with potatoes, came out luke warm. Tuna was excellent. Cooked correctly and generous portion. We gave it a “b” at best.
Beautiful restaurant with nice outdoor dining area. You can not see the sunset because condo's block the view, but you are on the water in a little alcove...very pretty and tranquil. Make sure to insist on a table with a view as they will try to seat you at the worst tables first ....(there are tables outside with large concrete pillars that block the view totally and they try to seat these tables first...don't accept this...why sit outside and stare at concrete) The tables with water views are lovely. Wine menu, dinner menu and even the dessert menu are very nice. I would call the dining experience - fine dining with more of a casual flare. Definitely will be back.
Dining at Jack Dusty's was a lovely experience. We went for our anniversary and had an excellent table right by the water at sunset and overlooking the Ringling rose garden. The cocktails were amazing, and the food was delicious. There were only two very small things that did not make the entire experience 100% amazing -- the first was that we had a reservation and could see that our table was empty (and the restaurant was not busy), but we still had to wait quite some time while the table was made ready -- which almost meant we missed sunset (and I intentionally booked the table for the time to see the best of sunset). The other is that the prices are quite high, so be ready for a big bill. However, overall, we had such lovely food, service, drinks, and atmosphere, it was a superb experience for a special occasion.
The food was excellent and service ( Taylor was server) was superb. the only negative was a group of 3 couples on the sofa and chairs near the table who were only drinking and were very loud.
Another wonderful evening at Jack Dusty. Cocktails on the patio and a table under the veranda made for a perfect night. Food was delicious as always and service was attentive without being disruptive.
Restaurant is backyard of Ritz Carlton hotel facing swimming pool and marina. Great atmosphere. I felt food menu wasn't so great variety.
Birthday dinner- ate outside. Couldn't have been nicer.
Will be back
4 grossly intoxicated men at the table directly next to ours on the outside patio. UNACCEPTABLE! Service was mediocre and slow. Pork entree was not edible. We have been here several times in the past and always enjoyed the experience. WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN! Not what we expect from the Ritz-Carlton.
Jeremy, the server was great, but the kitchen was backed up and the food took an hour to come out after we placed our orders, was the first time that service was not up to par with what it usually is, food was good and service was great, just took way too long.
Enjoyed the outdoor table setting on a beautiful evening. Waiter was attentive and not intrusive. My husband enjoyed my surprise dinner date
A single shot of regular Patron tequila was $18. I expect bar charges to be high but that was exorbitant.
Our experience was fantastic! The service was impeccable and the food delicious. This restaurant never disappoints us. We will return again soon.
Wonderful views and great service from Edgar our waiter. The chickpea salad and crab and fried green tomatoes were excellent.
My husband and I love Jack Dusty's and try to go everytime we're in town. The food is fantastic and the staff are great!
We had a wonderful business meeting over lunch. The service was five star and the crew worked as a team. The food and drinks were fantastic! The fresh seafood is first class. We moved out to the Terrace after the lunch and enjoyed fresh air, coffees, liquors, and incredible desserts. Thank you, we will be back:)
We have eaten here before and it was very good. However this time it was disappointing. my wife's salad favorite was removed from the menu. She got another but it had ingredients that were not listed and she could not eat. I had the sea scallops which were tasty but you only got 3 tiny scallops for $40. I was still hungry after I finished. Very sad.
It was our first visit to this restaurant. Their reputation for great cocktails was definitely deserved. If you enjoy English Gin, try the Lily Rose.
Wasn't a busy night! We waited 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. I had to ask the
hostess if anyone was going to wait on us. Food was nothing special, small portion=high priced. WE don't care to return.
A go to place for terrific food, professional service, and a wonderful atmosphere. It’s not stuffy or pretentious.
Worth a visit and save room for dessert.
When we checked in at 4:30, the hostess/manager took us to an obscure table way off to the side. We asked her if we could have the four-top in the corner by the window (there was literally no one else in the restaurant), and she said that they had reservations at 6:30, would we be gone by then. Not a good start. Our waitress was fine. Drinks were good. Our dinner took a LONG time to come out (now there were two other tables occupied). Once our dinners arrived, the hostess/manager came over and apologized for the delay (we had not complained), and comped our drinks (good move). We left the restaurant around 6:00; still only about three tables occupied. Then we waited 15 - 20 minutes to get our car from valet parking.
Three of us ate here recently for a birthday dinner. We sat outside which was pleasant. It was a very busy night and the service was fair. The food, however, was very disappointing. The fried green tomato appetizer was good, but the entrees were not. Two of us had burgers. How can a restaurant charge $18 for a burger that is nothing more than a bun and meat patty that isn't hand formed, nor made of high quality beef, and is tasteless and dry? No creativity whatsoever. It's pretty difficult to make a bad burger. The beet salad with chicken was fine but, again, no imagination at all. The wine prices are laughable. They charge per glass what you would pay for a bottle at any retailer. Absurd! This restaurant has the potential of being a great spot due to it's location, but it is not up to the standards of Ritz Carlton.
Wonderful ceviche appetizer, delicious tenderloin with creative and delicious sides . April was fantastic. Great manager attention to the small things we needed and any corrections. Really appreciated the small things they did to make our evening wonderful. The Brie and atmosphere is wonderful - quiet, peaceful and understated elegance - typical of the Ritz recommend the tenderloin over the ribeye and the ceviche over the tuna poke ( which didn’t have much flavor)
Excellent place to enjoy a special meal. We loved the seafood selections. Service by Melissa was very friendly and professional. The ambience is very relaxing.
Always a great outing, great service, great food, great ambience both indoors and out.
A Tiny Birthday cake (cupcake) would have been better than Doughnut holes!
