The food was really great, but the service was not so great. Our waitress somewhat refused to wait on us, and made sure she did not make eye contact when she came to our table. We waited to order, and then we probably waited 45 minutes for our food. It was then that she told us that a table of 14 had ordered right before us.
I would go back because it is a perfect place to go when staying at the Horseshoe. The bread was absolutely amazing!!
Would be so much more enjoyable for an upscale restaurant like yours to be totally non smoking. We visit there for great food and a relaxed feel. The prices and quality are overshadowed when seated near the smoking section. The atmosphere turns into a sports bar feel and the focus is the lingering smoke over a wonderful plate of food. There’s plenty of other places people can smoke. I’d rather enjoy my $100+ meal in a smoke free surrounding. I can eat on the boat a lot cheaper in smoke and also in the hotel lobby smoke free. Please consider it. You would most likely gain more business.
Appetizers of shrimp cocktail (the shrimp were HUGE) and oysters were very good. I ordered filet medium and while it was just a tad under for me, it was fine and very good. My friend ordered the steak diane which is finished off tableside, and while she ordered it also medium it was rare. She sent it back and they sent back out new steak and when she cut in again it mooed again it was so rare. So she sent that back and asked to just cook this meat more and not a new cut, and when that came back out it was now medium well, almost well done. She nearly finished the meat except for a couple pieces that were very well done. We received a free bananas foster desert to make up for the snafu. Otherwise it was a terrific experience.

I highly recommend making reservations, especially on a weekend.
I had the Ribeye served with mashed potatoes and asparagus and a Martini shaken salad with butter milk ranch.
The dinner was above par as always with excellent service.
My date had Sea Bass and all the extras served with a nice white.
A great date night.
But a little pricey .
Dinner was a disaster. Ordered the bisque and it came out curdled with a layer of grease on top. The waitress was extremely friendly and noticed the issue; she had the chef prepare me a new one. After the soup, we waited approximately an hour to receive out entrees. The waitress came to our table several times and apologized for the wait, and gave us little samples of some gelato. When the meal finally came she said the chef wasn't happy with how one of the steaks looked so he/she had it remade. We were at the restaurant for over an hour and a half. The waitress was fabulous, but with as horrible an experience as we were having with our food order I would have expected a manager to have come to the table.
There were four adults at our table. Everyone's food was cold including sides. No one wanted their steak reheated because they were already over cooked and not as ordered. While the wait staff were very cordial I will never return because of the quality of the food. I'll stick with Jeff Ruby's for a great steak.
I have been here many times and I have never been disappointed. It’s not just a great casino restaurant it’s a great restaurant for everyone. My point being I don’t have to be given a comp voucher from the casino to eat here I will just eat here. They are amazing. The crab cake appetizer was so good I thought next time I’ll just get three of these and there amazing bok choy .
I cant say enough nice things about our server, Jennifer. She was so welcoming, and had a smile on her face each time she checked on our table. We had a wonderful dining experience. The filet and the prime rib were both cooked to perfection. We will definitely visit again very soon.
We have been here several times. We were a little disappointed this time as the service was extremely slow and the dining room was scarcely populated so it wasn't slow due to too many patrons.
However, food was good always is. Portions were perfect and we had a very nice evening and meal.
They have excellent cuisine (best is the french onion soup, spinach salad made table side, filet mignon, and the sea scallops...sourdough bread is very good too). The service is exceptional (professional wait staff, never rushed). There is great ambiance, too. Great for a nice evening out, but also wonderful on special occasions. The lights are fairly low, but you can still see what you are eating. Most of the time it is a quiet atmosphere that makes table conversation possible. All in all one of our favorite places to dine in the area.
This was our last visit to Jack Binion's . We both have been Diamond Players for 12 years and always enjoyed the benefit of a great meal every year, but since we no longer can win at this casino we are finished. BUT IT WAS A HELL OF A RIDE FOR THE PAST 12 YEARS.
My wife said the salmon was perfect, however, I ordered a filet medium rare and it was so well done that it was almost too dry to eat. After the food arrived at the table the server never came over to check on us until she asked if we were ready for our check. By then it was too late to return to steak since my wife had finished her meal.
Steaks were great, salads very big and dressings not overpowering but the potatoes were disappointing. Spina h side was very good and wine list was adequate.
I will go back and try other items on menu. Didn't get a dessert as salads and entrees were very big.
