Everything was delicious!! Calamari, sausage and prosciutto pizza, Ribeye, and “The Best” veal cutlet Parmesan was spectacular!!!
Great food, calamari is especially delicious. Wait staff is excellent, server was attentive and warm, we had a great experience. Love the updates they’ve made to the restaurant. Will definitely be returning soon.

Service was excellent. We had Swordfish Melianase and the fish was generous in size and an inch thick. It was cooked medium and was wonderful. Have to say the recent Swordfish I had at Admiral Risty’s was ho-hum by comparison and cost $12 more!
Absolutely delicious every time! The calamari and truffle oil/pancetta pizza are two of our favorites. Great to share with a group for an appetizer or as a meal for two.
We had dinner there celebrating a landmark birthday for my wife. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and the service was great. The hostess greeted everyone with a smile and the warmth was felt throughout the service.
We made reservations thru Open table and was sat quickly after arriving What we noticed was whole lot of changes in the menu. But plenty to chose from. Our server was very accommodating in trying to inquire cook about some oldies but unfortunately they did not have reserves in the kitchen. People who are looking for original food from the past might be disappointed. My braised shank was delicious. Would have liked a little more risotto. My mom wanted to recommend the bread be cooked more. Thanks for a good night

Excellent food. Love the old pictures of San Pedro; not as crazy about the total brick decor. Musician was excellent and soft enough for conversation.
Highly recommend. Found it on Yelp and was chosen for the high reviews. Booked through Open Table with no problem. Food was absolutely delicious. Ambiance was comfortable and inviting. A little gem hidden away just off Harbor in a small neighborhood. Seemed like a “local” place which is always good. Will be returning

Love this restaurant
Trani’s is our place for all special occasions. We just took our daughter and husband from Temecula to celebrate her Masters Degree. It’s their new favorite place to eat. We will see you in April for our anniversary and May for Mother’s Day
We loved this restaurant. Been twice in two weeks, very good food and service.
The food was good. Our server was more than pleasant. One observation: with the prices they charge, I noticed no tableclothes.
our first valentine dinner in San Pedro, Ca, and our first visit to J Train's , our next visit (which won't be long) thank you J. Trani's we are really looking forward to the Linguini and clams in red sauce, this would make a Boston Native the happiest person in Pedro ... (a happy face)
My wife and I had a wonderful evening here, the meal was delicious as always and the atmosphere and service were both top notch! This is a perfect restaurant for a date, which we have had here many times before. When we actually had a babysitter and a night to ourselves, J.Trani's was our first choice, and fortunately we were able to book a reservation on the evening we wanted! We were particularly impressed with a new appetizer Tempura Shishito Peppers. A great mix of spicy and sweet, and unlike anything else I've had there! I had a lobster spaghetti which was excellent, you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu! I always ask the waiter for a wine pairing for my meal choice, and their recommendations are always the perfect compliment! Make sure to save some room for desert as well! This is the perfect place for a memorable meal and romantic evening with your loved one!
Great food , very good service and prices reasonable. The only negative was the band was too loud which filtered into the dining room that made it difficult to have a conversation.

Always a great meal. Bartender made a drink for me that I wanted that wasn't on menu. Always nice!!! Very good too. The service is first class, and Bobby always makes sure we are comfortable. Everything on menu is GREAT, everything! Great chef!

We had been wanting to go to Trani's for quite sometime. We went for a family dinner. The waiter was friendly and informative about the restaurant and the long history in San Pedro. He went over the menu and let us know the specials. We settled on the Penne with short rib ragu, the East Coast Scallops Linguine and the pork shank. Everything was extraordinary, delicious and well served. We were taken back by the many selections of pasta, fish and pizzas that were on the menu. We left the restaurant and let our family know that Trani's is a special place, full of tradition and a menu to match.
Very nice presentation of all the foods, we both love it and it does tastes good too. There’s a man playing guitar for our music.
Awesome place with delicious food and tasty drinks! My goto when I’m off work on a date with the wife or just meeting up with friends. A must if your in the mood for an amazing time!

This is one of the best restaurants in San Pedro. Our service was the best. The food was amazing.
Since the re-model, this previously good restaurant had become over-priced and not very good. We ordered the duck which she previously enjoyed, and they've ruined it. Big slabs of duck with a thick layer of fat and not very tender. We're not going back.
