Excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed a signature pasta dish, with Italian sausage, spinach, mushroom, & chopped tomato. Nicely spicy.
Authentic food, great service and extensive wine selection.
My wife made the reservation for my birthday more than a month ago....and requested
a booth for us....we were seated in what can only be called a banquet room at the back of the restaurant....by the restrooms....at a table....
The hostess did not say a word to us....no follow me please, welcome, nothing...strange..
Drinks were good; food was so- so at best...don't plan on returning...
We enjoyed another excellent meal at J. Razzo's of two outstanding pastas, the baked rigatoni and shrimp a la vodka, both rich and delicious. The freshly-baked hot breaksticks are always perfect while waiting for our food, and the wine selections are very good. We are always too full for dessert, but I'm sure that they are outstanding as well. J. Razzo's is a favorite go-to choice.
Fantastic evening enjoying it with friends with great food, very generous pour of cocktails, great Italian dinner wine recommendation and overall a fantastic restaurant. We are fast becoming regulars. Really love the walleye.
J. Razzo’s is a restaurant that has good food and good service at a fair price.
A great Italian restaurant. The food is outstanding. So were the personnel.
This was actually our second visit. Our first being only a few weeks ago. Our son and girlfriend came home from Purdue and our daughter and husband were available so we made it a night. The appetizers are great, get the cheese sticks! Everyone tried something different to drink from bottles of wine to signature cocktails to craft beers and all was awesome. The food is authentic. I can't believe we lived her for 16 years and never ate here. We've been twice in a month. They do have private little booths as well and is exactly where my wife and I ate the first time. We're coming back, count on it.
We were very impressed with the ambiance and thoroughly enjoyed our apps (Risotto balls). The bread was also a serious highlight. Our server was very pleasant and even promptly filled an impromptu order for our three year old son.
The entrees portions were very generous (chicken parm, pollo pepperoni and bambino spaghetti). However there was a bit too much breading on the chicken parm. The flavors for the pollo pepperoni didn’t make a impact. Our server didn’t come around too often after initially taking our orders. I’d dine here again to check out their other dishes as there was a nice selection.
Great selection of wines. Enjoyed the appetizers and entrees. Excellent and prompt service.
Of four in our party, only two thought the food was great. For one of the others, his salmon was dry and over cooked and the asparagus was undercooked. For the other, the eggplant was mediocre. Perhaps pre-prepared and heated up. We should have ordered what our friends did: great lasagna and very good chicken parmesan.
Went to J. Razzo's for Valentine's Day, table was immediately available. Food was delicious, waiter was attentive. I have a feeling if I had asked for special requests they'd have been more than willing to accommodate.
My only wish is that we hadn't forgotten our leftover lasagna!
Always a lovely dinner at J Razzo’s
First time there and WOW. We have lived here 16 years and never been. My wife and I shared a good bottle of wine and had a wonderful pasta dinner with salad and bread and shared an appetizer cheese sticks which you must try. We will be back.
J Razzo's never disappoints. This is our family go to for special occasions. The only restaraunt we feel comfortable recommending.
Entire experience was just okay. Not bad but not great
Prompt greeting. Water brought to table before waitress addressed us. Brought extra bread when requested. Checked back to make sure everything was to our liking. Like the idea of a smaller portion availability. Menu selection was covered well.
Very bad food the service was good the restaurant was clean very modern and romantic seating but the prices and the food really made me never want to return
If you’re looking for authentic Italian food at a fair price, give J. Razzo’s the opportunity to serve you. The restaurant offers a nice wine selection and the service is excellent. We’ve had dinner here several times and always enjoyed our dining experience.
Birthday so we appreciated free dessert
Save your money or spend it somewhere else. Service was fine but not exceptional. Food was incredibly bland. My wife had veal parmesan, beet salad, and ice cream. I had risotto balls, walleye, and tiramisu. Risotto balls were tolerable and ice cream was good (but who screws up ice cream?), but everything else was disappointing. I don’t like putting restaurants on blast but I would hate for someone spend $90 (with tip) on dinner and get the result we got.
Good food, excellent and friendly service, and they have REAL spumoni ice cream. A bit hard to find, however, if you are not used to Carmel, so check out your route if driving there.
Our waiter wax ver attentive and polite. The food was fresh & delicious. We'll definitely return.
We went during devour Indy. The service and appetizers were great.. but the veal Parmesan was paperthin and when I pointed it out to the waiter, he became defensive and our service changed from good to essentially non existent. He actually said, ' I didn't cook it', and threw our check on the table as he passed by... very disappointed in this, as I wasn't blaming him for the quality of food, just pointing it out. Better options out there.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Great ambiance. Great food. Service is outstanding. Would recommend it.
We've been to J Razzo's on multiple occasions and the food and service are always excellent.
Great menu, great food and great service, as always. John always presents a smiling face to greet guests.
always great foodddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
The food was well prepared as it always is! The service was very attentive and she always had helpful suggestions. We always love g
We were out for a birthday dinner and had a wonderful time. We had the seafood linguini, lasagna, tortellini and manicotti. We raved about each of our dinners, so good and serving sizes were generous. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was our first time there but won’t be our last.
Thank you for a great experience.
We had a great experience sitting at the bar for dinner. The owner and staff were terrific.
My husband and I LOVE this restaurant! They have an amazing selection of Italian dishes that are made with the owners family recipes. Everything we've ever tried has been outstanding! My favorite is the Angel Hair Shrimp with Asparagus and of course, the garlic bread sticks...Delicious!
This was our first time at J Razzos. We had a 6:30 reservation. Arrived and was told our table was not ready and was told she had no idea when it would be ready. We sat at the bar and waited 35 min for a table. After being seated, a waitress came and greeted us and told is someone would be there with water. We waited 20 min for the water and it was another 10 min after that that we were ask to order any food or beverages! I will say the food was good hut the service here needs some help.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Food came very quickly and our waitress checked on us frequently.
Took quite some time to get our food but it was very good once we did. It was a busy night there.
As always, the food was great. The service was outstanding. It's an experience we always look forward to.
Outstanding food and excellent service. J. Razzos is one of our favorites.
Every time we dine here it's great. Everyone is always very friendly. John has a great staff.
The Eggplant Parmaj. is the best ever tasted. the staff always provides friendly environment for all. the Chicken Veneto cooked the "old way" is an excellent and light dish.
