We use to be regulars here, but I was quickly reminded why we stopped. First, the service was horrendous. (10 minutes to be greeted, another 15 minutes to get drinks, appetizer was wrong), and on a freezing cold evening they didn’t have the heater on. Every person on the restaurant had their winter coat on during their meal! Even the wait staff had on coats or sweaters. With all the problems, no one made an effort to recifty or make the situation better. Then, when paying, they screwed up the credit card, charging the incorrect amount, which caused more problems. Sad to see such a staple restaurant to take such a nosedive.
We went for brunch on New Year's Day, 2017. That was a very cold day in Washington DC, and the restaurant was freezing ... nearly all the diners had to keep their coats on during their meals. More disappointing, it took nearly an hour from the time we ordered until our entrees arrived ... and we weren't the only diners who had that experience. Clearly the restaurant was unprepared ... for either the weather or the number of guests they elected to serve. Incredibly unpleasant experience.
My brunch was cold and mediocre besides. Noone at our table was too pleased by their order. Service couldn’t have been nicer. Back room very cold.

Went to J Paul’s as a surprise graduation party for My fiancé. Warren(Manager) was very accommodating and helped me to make it a really special day for her. Plenty of room, great service and well priced drinks= a Great Time. We will be back
Wow! Great reasonably priced spot for parents, Young 20 somethings, 30-60 something's and everyone in between. Great food, fun music, great/caring staff able to make both an intimate setting and casual bar hang. 10/10 for sure
Enjoyed Christmas lunch with family. Festive and good food.
