The staff members are super friendly. They gave warm greetings and took good care of the dining area and us. My friends from Colorado were impressed by the food, place, and people.
Outstanding Hot Brown and good service. Free valet parking is a nice touch.
The food and service were great as always. I appreciate the friendly staff and the hot brown did not disappoint.
Amazing food and staff! You come to this place a guest and leave as family.
Great service great food the hot brown was as advertised very delicious overall a great dining experience
Service was okay. Went from being bombarded with the staff waiting on us but then descended down as the meal went to where we were waving the staff down for service at the end of the meal. The food was good, but definitely not great. This was our first time to J Grahams Cafe and we were expecting better tasting food. Wife had the eggs Benedict which was good. I had the Hot Brown for the first time ever and it was okay. Maybe it wasn't really my thing as my expectations built on years of hype led me to expect some kind of legendary cuisine. We felt bad for our children who both got the pancakes with strawberries (frozen). The pancakes were the worst ever. Though we all arrived hungry the kids only ate a little of their meal. Wife and I tried the pancakes and couldn't believe how terrible they were! They had a really weird taste and texture like mushed cauliflower. Sad to say but I couldn't recommend this place to anybody, well, anyone that I care about.
Highly recommend trying hot brown! Also recommend walking around the lobby!
Your staff did a wonderful job making my mom's birthday luncheon so special! Food was great too, a lot of attention to detail.
Great experience! Kentucky Hot Browns are the best!
We had a lovely breakfast while a dear friend was visiting!
The food was wonderful & the service was fabulous!
In town for a wedding and we stayed at The Brown. The brunch was amazing! After five plates of food, ranging from Caesar salad to sea bass to omelettes to bourbon bread pudding, I didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. The mimosas were also delicious- basically orange juice tinted champagne! We definitely got our money’s worth!
Amy was great! Food was delicious. Came for the Hot Brown and it did not disappoint.
We waited for our reservation for 30 minutes and were finally seated. I believe they forgot about us. The brunch buffet was beautiful, but food was mediocre. Service was definitely lacking at such an upscale restaurant. I would not recommend it or return.
Food was delicious. Our waitress was only interested in obtaining s bigger tip by swaying my wife and I away from more moderately priced dishes for more expensive. She was also not very friendly
It was awesome as always.
Service was tremendous. Waitress and host were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall experience was fantastic.
The people were nice and the food was good. However it seemed the staff was having problems with communication. Several parties including ours set for quite some time with staff walking right by and not greeting us. Overheard staff arguing about who's tables belonged to who. I only had one cup of coffee I was asked if I would like more but it never arrived. I won't go back if we stay at the Brown again. Again staff was nice but not efficient, should have been much better service for the money spent.
WONDERFUL!!! Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. Delightful. Best Sunday brunch I ever had. Would definitely go again.
Our group of 7 enjoyed the local delicacy of the Hot Brown sandwich and appreciated getting reservations as we were in town for an event. Lovely service and atmosphere. A bit pricey for the Hot Brown but we enjoyed trying it!
We always enjoy the Brown for Sunday brunch. The staff is great and the food delicious. The only negative was the music. It got in the way of conversation with people who are hard of hearing.
Waitress may have been very busy but never made it back to our table, never even refilled coffee, until the Host (who was very nice) had been to our table three times and was starting to clear our dishes himself.
Fabulous brunch buffet. Nothing compares to the quantity and quality. I am very picky and critical of everything. There was nothing for me to comment on other than how wonderful everything was!
My mistake had us arriving an hour early .... the maitre d' acted like this happened all the time, seated us and checked on us a couple of times while we had the Sunday buffet brunch. Service was attentive and timely without being overbearing, the food was good and plentiful.
Most of the food was like warm if that.. they did correct the problem however old and stale items were available
I was visiting and had brunch here. Cafe was awesome, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The Hot Brown was amazing. It was fulfilling and left me full all day. Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve been to by far.
The Hot Brown is the best! Excellent brunch buffet and outstanding service. Highly recommend if in town visiting.
Hot brown was fine, but my family recipe is better. Worth it if you’ve never had a hot brown.
I had a lovely lunch with family to celebrate my birthday. The service was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and the small details to make our visit special were very much appreciated. I would highly recommend.
1st time. Had to do it. Glad we did. Wonderful!
Came for the Hot Brown, was not disappointed. The brunch buffet looked amazing, maybe next time.
A great spot in Louisville to grab a bite. The hotel is stunning and the feel of it carries into the cafe. Must try the Hot Brown too! Best in town!
Even though I have lived in Louisville nearly all my life, I had never had a Hot Brown at the Brown hotel. It absolutely lived up to expectations!
I'll keep it simple ... the Hot Brown is an absolute must do!
Went to the Mother's Day buffet was excellent. Buffet was extensive and eveything I tried was tasty. The surprise was that they included Hot Brown in the brunch price, so a couple of people at our table got to taste for first time.
J. Graham Cafe is a go-to for business lunch - valet parking and daily buffet make for quick work.
First time at J. Graham's Cafe was for Mother's Day brunch. It was probably one of the best brunch buffets we've ever been to. Food was excellent not only in terms of quality but choice - enough variety for everyone without being overwhelming. Old world charm of the venue was also nice. Classy but not overbearing.
We had a terrific Mothers Day Brunch. It was the perfect weekend ending for my sons Graduation weekend. The food choices at the buffet were amazing. There were many choices of hot foods and cold ones. The biscuits were just amazing. It was our best meal out in KY.
Had Mother's Day brunch here. Outstanding! Of course you must try the Hot Brown here if not anywhere else.
I did not give this a good review because of a couple of things. I made reservations without being told/disclosed that it was a fixed price. We assumed we could order off of the menu and there was no reference to the brunch on Open Table nor did the person that confirmed the reservation over the phone disclose it. When we were seated we were given menus only for them to be later taken away. Additionally, the price was way too high to not include champagne. For $42 on Mother's Day it should at least included Mimosa's or plain champagne.
The meal and service was wonderful! The hotel is gorgeous inside and out, and we would most definelty return!
Fabulous way to begin the Derby! Service and food were amazing.
