    The Brown Hotel cafe has a fabulous brunch on the weekends. It was above and beyond any brunch I have been too. The food was so beautifully displayed and was scrumptious. The service is impeccable with the “will make it happen” attitude. Anything you want, the staff will be sure to provide with a smile. My mom and I and and some friends had brunch on the Saturday and Sunday while we were staying at the hotel. We highly recommend staying at the hotel and having breakfast at the cafe.

    Seated immediately with a reservation. Made it at the end of breakfast and the beginning of lunch. A true Brunch experience. Food was all fantastic and the made to order omelette was 2nd to none.

    My husband loves hot browns so I wanted to take him for our anniversary to the Brown Hotel to taste the real one, where the dish originated. The whole dining experience was great.

    I had reservations for 2 and asked for a table by the window at that time. It was a Wednesday and not crowded. There were tables available by the window but we were seated on the couch next to a man sitting by himself. I am sure he didn't appreciate two chatty women sitting by him while he was on the phone. There was no reason to crowd people together that day.

    We spent two days In Louisville on a road trip vacation. We had J Grahams Cafe on our list of restaurants to try. We stopped in for a Saturday breakfast shortly after they opened at 8am. Reservations are recommended as they filled up quickly. My wife had the brunch buffet. It was wonderful. Fresh, tasty food. Plenty of choices. Artfully presented and well tended to. I was not as hungry, and I opted for the Hot Brown. There is a petite serving of their signature dish. It was more than enough for me. Our service was excellent. Attentive and quick. On our next visit, we will be sure to stop there again.

    My husband and I each had a petite Hot Brown. It was delicious and still too big for either of us to finish. The waitress was efficient and friendly and when she heard we were celebrating my husband’s birthday she wanted to give him a complimentary Derby Pie. We were too full for dessert so she boxed it up—sauce, fruit and whip cream in three separate little containers—and told us to enjoy it later!

    They seem to have difficulty with consistent temperature of their food here… the breakfast potatoes were so hot it left a blister on the roof of my mouth and the biscuit was still cold in the middle as if they were frozen prior. The hot brown was overrated - bland food over compensated for by being drenched in sauce made out of butter and cream. Service was slow, but our waitress was nice. The people next to us were overcharged for their whole meal. I had higher expectations for this restaurant considering if was showcased on multiple food channels for their hot brown but it was nothing more than a bland heart attack on a plate

    Would NOT recommend! food was very old and had sat out or in warmers for for a very long time! Upon arrival for our Saturday early afternoon reservation we were advised either you have the buffet or a hot brown, not wanting to find parking again at another downtown location so we opted for the buffet, the salad had cheese which had sat so long that it had become hard and opaque, I can only guess how long the smoked salmon had sat in the open air without refrigeration, the omelette station personnel were no where to be found, so we looked at the other hot items, the cooked salmon as well as the spinach chicken had sat so long it also had shriveled and had very hard edges from sitting so long. The "chef" had walked by buffet at least 4 times while kissing the butt of I can only assume was a vip while taking them whole entrees and desserts unrelated to the Hot brown/buffet only menu and ignoring the buffet, our lunch lasted over an hour piecing together what was edible, we not once, saw any attention to the buffet by any personnel, Don't waste your time and money and you shouldn't have to ask for fresh food on the buffet, many other hotel/dining options in the area.

    First visit to J Graham’s Cafe. My daughter and I shared “The Hot Brown” and it did not disappoint! We couldn’t even finish it! We had great service, even with a brief interruption of a fire alarm going off and having to briefly exit the restaurant! The manager and wait staff handled it beautifully….and we returned to our table to enjoy The Hot Brown! Our coffee cups were kept full and our waitress had a great sense of humor! She complimented me on my wedding ring and said, “If I ever go that route….I’d like a marquis too…..but right now…I’m on strike!!” Great experience!

    It was nice. Our waitress was spot on. However I have to admit I was a little disappointed in the array of food. For the price it was a good value. Maybe my expectations were a little higher. Best in my book was a cinnamon roll and the bread pudding.

    It was of course very busy. I would guess maybe they were short handed. We always had to stop someone to get what we needed coffee or tea. We had the buffet. Had to ask for plates and they were always running out of stuff where we had to return The omlet guy was great

    The iconic Kentucky Hot Brown and Chef Bajalani's Hot Brown Pasta dishes are "must-tries." Every bite is a true delight. I have never had a better Hot Brown than the original version served here and the Hot Brown Pasta certainly holds its own. The staff was wonderfully friendly and attentive and combined with the ambiance and the fantastic food, my dining experience was tops! I wholeheartedly recommend J. Graham's Cafe.

    The food was OK. But, it used to be great. There was a limited selection of food compared to previous years and there was only one true desert offering. The service was great and made the trip worthwhile. The bread pudding was delicious.

    We came to lunch to eat a Hot Brown, which was invented here at the Brown Hotel. We split the dish which was perfect for the two of us. It is very rich but was worth the experience. This is a well-known Kentucky dish, and we wanted to try the original. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it really is.

    Always festive; the brunch offerings are expansive, but we do wish a brunch menu would make a return for those who aren't big breakfast eaters. The half hot brown is a great idea. Our server Winnie was excellent.

    It’s unfortunate that the only options are the buffet or a hot brown. The food on the buffet was not replenished frequently so it was not appealing. The omelet bar was good. The one hot brown ordered at our table arrived with gummy mornay sauce and very little turkey. Management did a poor job of remedying the situation although finally did comp the one meal.
