Usually a very safe bet for a great Sunday brunch (and since the Seelbach stopped serving brunch, by far the best place to go in downtown Louisville). Great selection of hot foods, salads, smoked salmon (although really horrid bagels), carving station and desserts. Incredibly reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of foods.

The food off the menu was mediocre - the blt was overall sweet with no aioli or other type of dressing - just dry. Fries were limp and seemed like they were from a frozen bag, not fresh. The brunch was a nice variety and fine for $32 a plate, there wasn’t anything that seemed to really stand out though and we were charged for a $4 for 1 cup of black coffee even though that was supposed to be included in the brunch price. It was removed promptly when pointed out, but happened to both checks at our table. I was certainly expecting more based on the yelp ratings. We won’t be back.

Had a fantastic meal there with my girlfriend. Our server was wonderful and very friendly, talking with us both and making jokes with us (which I loved) and at one point the host came over to see how we were doing and chat with us. The food was wonderful. I had the steak and she had the hot brown. We both had mint juleps. Everything was delicious!

Best place for a hot brown! We always celebrate Mom's birthday by having a family lunch at J Graham's Cafe. The food always meets our expectations, the speciality drinks are wonderful, and the service excellent! We'll keep coming back for special events or just a casual lunch during the week.

From our arrival to our departure, all the staff at J Graham's were extremely attentive to our needs and very personable. We had the Sunday Brunch, and everything we had was very good. The made-to-order omelet was cooked to perfection! We ate mostly breakfast foods, but did try the carving station offering, which was extremely flavorful, tender, and juicy. Loved the way the fruit was diced into bite-sized pieces. The desserts were presented beautifully and were really tasty. Our server, Brian, knew just when to check on us and when to let us enjoy our food. Overall a wonderful experience and a great choice for celebrating a birthday.

Excellent experience in Louisville. Located in a great historic hotel and the food, service and ambiance were great. We came for lunch but on Sunday they had a brunch. Delicious and very enjoyable. Staff all around were polite, attentive and made our brunch very memorable. Well done staff of the restaurant. Even the omelette chef came by and asked us how everything was. Highly recommend.

Try the original Hot Brown open-faced turkey sandwich, a Louisville tradition invented here in the 1920's. The traditional decor of J Graham's and the Brown Hotel lobby contribute to the historical ambiance. One full size sandwich was enough for my husband and I to split. We also shared a salad, cup of lamb vegetable soup (delicious and hearty), and an order of Derby pie. Everything was excellently prepared and came out quickly. Wait staff was upbeat and helpful.

My family met here for Christmas Day Brunch. The quality of the food and service were both good but nothing exceptional. My only true criticisms would be that they should consider staggering their reservation times so there are fewer people in the buffet area at the beginning of the reservation time. It was extremely difficult to get access to the food due to so many people being in the buffet area. The crowd thinned after 20-30 minutes or so but the serving dishes were then empty or very nearly empty. Secondly, my family all agreed the dessert selection was not very appealing. Of the six of us, no one found anything of interest.

Hot brown was excellent as expected. Service was great. Would have been nice for there to be rolls on the table but then maybe there would not have been room for desert! Bread pudding is fantastic. Small serving size but it was just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. Only draw back was that it was a bit noisy. Would definitely return.

The hot brown was the best I've ever had ! All of the servers were friendly. The only drawback was how close the tables are - the back of my chair kept getting bumped as people walked back and forth. Awesome food, though !

Excellent place for a casual lunch or special occasion. We went for my Mother’s 79th birthday and the staff made it even more special. They presented her with a beautiful, personalized dessert and several sang “Happy Birthday “. The food was delicious. The restaurant has an elegant ambiance that adds to the experience.
