   I absolutely cannot recommend J. Gilberts enough! The food is always outstanding and the staff, especially Taylor, Stephanie and Manny consistently go above and beyond! The atmosphere is classy and we will continue to go back! Highly recommend if you have not been!

   The service was good and the staff was nice but the overall experience was negative. We placed our order, but the server returned to inform us they were out of the corn (which 3 people in our party ordered) and lemonade (which 4 people in our party ordered). When the food came one filet mignon was overcooked. It was returned and the new filet had an off smell and tasted like liver. The salmon was overcooked as well. The other food was very inconsistent. Some dishes were bland and under-seasoned, while other dishes were too salty. Four out of five in our party did not enjoy our meals. The only one that did was a child. When I visited J. Gilbert's several years ago, I enjoyed my meal. So, I thought this would be a safe bet. This time it was a terrible experience and ruined our Father's Day night out. Therefore, we will never be back.

   Not the experience I’m used to coming here. Father’s Day meal was supposed to be a special occasion but it was disappointing. If food is missing or is going to take a long time, at least have some communication to explain the situation we’re in. Felt like I was strung along just to make sure we didn’t get up and leave. If the manager checked with us at the table or at least showed some type of existence, we could have resolved some of the issues on the spot. Still paid the full amount and left tip but I fee like I got ripped off when the bill doesn’t match the experience. Somebody needs to reach out to me and make it right.
